The advancement of Information Communication Technology has provided tourism researchers with a golden opportunity to access big data, which plays a critical role in smart tourism. Recognizing the current issue, this paper discusses the evolution of the literature on tourism big data focusing on conceptual understanding of and types of big data, and insights from big data analytics. Indeed, this article provides important research agenda for future tourism researchers who would like to conduct academic research about big data and smart tourism.

With advances in technology, advances in the understanding of biology of cancer, and the advent of improved and novel therapies, the role of the gastroenterologist has been modified greatly over the past 2 decades, and continues to be shaped by the knowledge, skill, and opportunity to capitalize on the unique position that gastroenterologists hold in the patient care continuum. The gastroenterologist is evolving from a "pure" diagnostician to an endoscopic surgeon, a geneticist, a nutritionist, an immunologist and chemotherapist, and palliative care physician.

The purpose of this study is to develop and implement the Appropriate Technology Science School program (ATSS) for youth operated by the Europe-Korea Conference on Science & Technology (EKC) since 2016. The development process consisted of pre-online management meetings, online and offline tutor training, operation of ATSS for youth, and satisfaction surveys. As a result of the development, the management team selected the mission-solving theme of "Transforming village using blockchain technology" through a pre-online meeting. The contents were reorganized according to the level of the participating tutees, and various learning activities such as co-building activities, games, and plays were newly introduced and developed first, and the programs developed through tutor training were demonstrated and improved. A total of 38 tutees and tutors from 6 countries participated in the 2018 ATSS. As a result, participants showed positive satisfaction overall. Tutees showed interest in dome co-building activities and hash function calculation activities, and tutors showed interest in lectures and monopoly games related to blockchain technology. The development and of the 2018 ATSS will contribute to the improvement of expertise in the operation of the EKC ATSS in the future to the management team. It will be an opportunity for tutors to experience that high-tech science and technology have a good impact on appropriate technology for the third world and community society. In addition, Tutees will be provided with an opportunity to indirectly experience the local situation and community society through a role play on the impact of blockchain technology on African villages.

This paper provides emerging technology issue and institutes of LED fusion industry based on the efficient quantitative analysis of a large amount of newspaper articles and papers for the decision-making of new business planning and core strategy. In addition, market opportunities and market entering strategies of main LED fusion industries are proposed. In the future, it is required to analyze and complement the quantitative analysis result by LED fusion industry experts and to build emerging issue database.

The development of information and technology has brought plenty of changes to the educational environment. The prevalence of smart phones is particularly playing a huge role in shaping learning methods. Smart phones provide the opportunity to scan QR codes, which can greatly ease access to information. Due to a high recognition speed, recognition rate, and restoration rate, they can be useful tools for English teachers to use in their class. In this study, we suggest using QR codes for writing and picture descriptions. Based on this study, more research should invest in Technology Embedded English teaching models to create better English classes for students.

Social media holds the potential to facilitate vertical political communication by giving citizens the opportunity to interact directly with their representatives. However, skeptics claim that even when politicians use "interactive media," they avoid direct engagement with constituents, using technology to present a façade of interactivity instead of a genuine dialogue. This study explores how elected officials in three regions of the world are using Twitter to interact with the public. Using the Twitter activity of 15 officials over a period of six months, we show that in addition to the structural features of Twitter that are designed to promote interaction, officials rely on language to foster or to avoid engagement. We also provide evidence that the existence of interactive features does not guarantee interactivity.

Exactly, it analyzes paper map and network structure between nations, between institutes and between authors. As a conclusion, it suggests strategies to take an opportunity for emerging technology and secure a leading position.

The shock-free inflow criterion applied in the development of two-dimensional cascade for turbomachinery design. The developed cascade analysis with potential flow calculation through a panel method has been used to determine the shock-free inflow condition. The combination between cascade analysis and PSO (particle swarm optimization) algorithm provides an opportunity to develop a diagram of a two-dimensional parameter cascade at various airfoil shapes. Analytical equations have been derived from the diagram that will facilitate the turbomachinery designer in applying the shock-free inflow criterion on their developed cascade. This method has been used to develop the very low head axial hydraulic turbine and provides excellent results of numerical and actual prototype performances.

Modernized GPS will have three frequencies modulated with three signals, which will be accessible to all users in the near future. This new frequency provides an opportunity to resolve the double differenced (DD) integer ambiguity very fast and with almost no baseline constraints. In order to study the performance of triple frequency system for Ambiguity Resolution (AR) over the medium baseline under different ionospheric levels, the Klobuchar Model was implemented and used in our triple simulation to generate the ionospheric delay. Furthermore, the White-Gaussian noise applying to distance-dependent parameters was added to the DD ionospheric delay. For medium baseline (defined as here 20 to 40kms), success rates of AR has been pretty improved. In this paper, the medium baseline AR strategies that take advantage of carrier phase measurement on the third frequency will be discussed.

The Office of Science and Technology Innovation (OSTI) was created by a different method of organizational change from that of precedent administrative reforms. According to results of the new method, the OSTI case can be widely applied to other ministries as an alternative model for governmental reform. The theory part introduced two approaches of organizational reform, namely structural approach which focuses on the level of hierarchial authority and process approach which emphasizes the flow of information/expertise in organizational operation. It also discussed various ways of understanding for S&T policy coordination. After this, the paper reviewed details of the OSTI reform with special reference to implications for the mode of S&T policy coordination. It concludes that the OSTI may offer an opportunity to strengthen the coordination mechanism of the process approach.
