Visual analytic for intangible cultural heritage has recently developed in China. Using advanced interactive visualization tools experts can observe data distribution trends and explore the implicit relationships among data within a short time. It can enhance human cognitive and analytical abilities and improve the scientific preservation of intangible cultural heritage. To support this research topic, we have reviewed recent visualization works on intangible cultural heritage in China. We divide these works into three types: text visualization, multi-dimensional visualization, and geographical visualization. Each type is illustrated by several representative works. New development trends in this area are also discussed.

The advent of microprocessor controls and robotics is rapidly changing the face of manufacturing throughout the world. Large and small companies alike are adopting these new methods to improve the efficiency of their operations. Factory Automation, which is in reality by robots, is playing more important role in economic competition and growth. Its core technology, i.e. robotics, is advanced in accordance with the remarkable progress of the computer technology and micro-electronics. Roughly speaking, its future might determine the fate of a national economy. In this paper, the future trends of such robotics and factory automation are described from a point of view of industrial application.

Geographic information with convergence ubiquitous IT technologies becomes much more intelligent. In ubiquitous space, users can make information access easier and the use of geographic information more efficient through the 'Geospatial Web,' as a platform between the real world and the virtual world. Many global IT venders make an effort to develop innovated technologies, such as Geospatial web platforms and engines. This study examines the concept of 'Geospatial Web,' technology trends for intelligent geographic information and standardization activities for ubiquitous geographic information. Finally, to obtain international market competitiveness, the technology development strategies for intelligent geographic information are suggested.

Cloud computing technology based on centralized high-performance computing has brought about major changes across the information technology industry and led to new paradigms. However, with the rapid development of the industry and increasing need for mass generation and real-time processing of data across various fields, centralized cloud computing is lagging behind the demand. This is particularly critical in emerging technologies such as autonomous driving, the metaverse, and augmented/virtual reality that require the provision of services with ultralow latency for real-time performance. To address existing limitations, distributed and edge cloud computing technologies have recently gained attention. These technologies allow for data to be processed and analyzed closer to their point of generation, substantially reducing the response times and optimizing the network bandwidth usage. We describe distributed and edge cloud computing technologies and explore the latest trends in their standardization.

As the pluralistic value in which various cultures and trends exist develops the world at large, development of interior design is required to examine consumers by group. This requirement purports to set up a strategic model of operating interior design organizations under cross-cultural (past and present) enviroment, not to express new researches of interior design following the direction of the developed media service. Based on the educational and complex cultural approach to design matters - the key issue in solving the cross-cultural design matters, this paper has suggested the structure of semi-centralized design process and the system for finding out consumers' trends under the new media-based cultural design environment. This study presents some expected effects. First, it will be able to enhance the consumer-oriented design mind by providing the information on the interior design system and design trend. Through analyzing the lifestyle in the 21st century and providing the relevant information, it will lead irrlprovement in living environment. And further, by using the program of searching consumers' new preference, the system of grasping consumers' propensity and making decisions will be materialized. Secondly, based on the background database of forecasted consumers' trends, marketing strategies can be established. Thirdly, through the better technology of designing living environment, efficiency will be increased and the economic foundations through use of new database will be constructed. Fourth, systematic interior design can be developed. Strategic correspondence to consumers' desires and reinforcement of competitiveness will become possible with development of database. By encouraging consumers' participation under digital environment, their trends can be forecasted, and by efficiently using information and new technology, resources can be saved and further, additional costs for promotion and sales will be reduced.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the facilitating and conflicting factors on the emerging technologies and trends predicted to impact future education in Korea. To do this, open online questionnaires on 20 emerging technologies and trends derived from a comprehensive literature review were completed by 24 experts in research, policy, schools, and corporate fields, and a content analysis of the collected qualitative data was conducted. As a result of the study, the effectiveness of the content and the maturity of technology were found to be the most important facilitating factors and obstacles. In addition, the potential for innovative teaching and learning methods and motivation, and the maturity and popularity of technology were found to be the main facilitating factors. On the other hand, health problems and negative effects on students in ethical aspects, the lack of research and development, and poor networks and infrastructures in terms of education environment were found to be the main impeding factors of emerging technologies and trends.

As numerous security breaches on a variety of information assets such as personal information, corporate secrets, computer servers, and networks have occurred, information security has emerged as a critical social issue. However, researches on economically rational information security decision-making have been few. Such researches are especially rare in South Korea where information security is considered to be a discipline of engineers. This study aims to identify the preferred themes and methodologies of information security economics research in the field of information systems by reviewing papers published in Management Information Systems Quarterly (MISQ), Information Systems Research (ISR), European Journal of Information Systems (EJIS), Management Science (MS), and Information and Management (I&M). We hope that the results of the study will be helpful in rational managerial or policy decision-making for practitioners and suggest future research topics for researchers.

Smart Railway as a next generation railway technology is expected to have rapid evolution with developments of information and communications tehchology. Especially, smart railway will be progressed more evolved transportation means for railway operation and costomer service based with spread of commercial 5G communication. So, it is very important to investigate and analyze trends of smart railway related tehcnology of 5G mobile communication for samrt railway infra structure, server technolgy for AI, big data, deep learning, information security technology, sensor and IoT. In this paper, 5G based communicaion technology and application techology related smart railway is described and trends of new techlogy on this communication tehnology is investigated. The results of this study can be used for smart railway study and implementation, research and development for smart railway communicaion technology, etc.

Lately, there is a worldwide boom for start-ups. This trends has led to develop many policies for entrepreneurship in Korea, which focused on college education. Also, as the forth industrial revolution knows no borders, demands of software early education are expanding in line with strong interests in IT (Information Technology). Information technology is now an essential competency for all professionals who need creative thinking. And entrepreneurs are a representative job that requires creative thinking. This study suggests IT competencies-IT planning competencies (ITPC) and IT development competencies (ITDC)-as a core factor of the entrepreneurial intention. This paper is to study the relationship between IT competencies and entrepreneurial Intention. So we investigated IT competence and entrepreneurial intention in university students with a questionnaire. The results of this empirical study can be summarized as follows. First, IT planning competencies have positive influence on entrepreneurial attitude and intention. But IT development competencies do not influence directly on entrepreneurial intention. Second, entrepreneurial attitude have mediating effects in the relationship between IT planning competencies and entrepreneurial intention. So, we need to develop good contents related to the IT planning capabilities when organizing training programs in start-up course. In order to improve the quality of entrepreneurship education, it will be necessary to develop educational contents that can have a broad perspective for understanding the trends of technology convergence and creating opportunities.
