Korea is one of the most advanced countries in terms of nation-wide readiness for conducting complex trade processes in an electronic way. Since various trade processes are well-known for their complexity and cost as well as time consuming characteristics due to required collaborations with involving parties, automation and efficiency are always the main concern of trade-related practitioners. Using information technology can be a possible solution to this problem and Korea has developed the national e-trade infrastructure called "u-Trade Hub." In this paper, we propose the framework to enhance the national integrated e-trade system called "u-Trade Hub," which is ready to be released for commercial use in near future. We propose the framework to upgrade u-Trade Hub in four directions: (1) opening, (2) strengthening community feature, (3) modularization, (4) seeking profitability. In this paper, we study and compare national e-trade environment of other countries such as Singapore and Japan. Then, we analyze and design the enhanced e-trade infrastructure based on Web 2.0.

This study aims to determine whether the export volume of export country is affected by the strengthening of environmental management level of the importing country depending on the relative technology level of the importing country. To this end, a gravity model was established and the relative size of environmental management level was introduced, and how it affects the export was analyzed according to the difference of environmental management level between Korea and the importing country. The analysis of Korean industry by technology level (based on R&D investment) shows that countries with higher environmental management levels increase exports in both high and low technologies compared to Korea. On the other hand, exports of high-tech industries did not affect export growth in countries with lower environmental management than Korea.

An economic downturn can occurred through unexpected events in various fields, such as the subprime mortgage crisis and the outbreak of Coronavirus Disease-2019 (COVID-19). Trade credit is important for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), especially during a monetary contraction, as it is the last option for firms that lack bank credit. This study aims to determine whether trade credit is profitable for the buyer and supplier firms during and after a financial crisis. We use panel data consisting of all trade credit transactions and financial statements of 5,751 Korean firms during the period 2008-2012. It shows that trade credit is more profitable for both buyers and suppliers in the post-crisis period than during the crisis. Moreover, trade payable is more effective for unconstrained buyers than for constrained buyers. Finally, a mixed strategy is superior to an aggressive or passive strategy of SMEs. The results suggest less profitability of trade credit during a period of contraction and greater sensitivity of the buyer SMEs, emphasizing the idiosyncratic liquidity strategy of each firm. This study can be helpful to develop a strategy of profitable trade credit for SMEs and to establish a policy of managing liquidity for the authority.

본 연구에서는 중국의 한국과의 무역 재개의 다양한 시사점, 즉 무역 구조 재편, 무역 정책의 변화와 기업의 경쟁력에 미치는 영향, 양국이 무역 분쟁을 해결한 방법 등을 살펴볼 것이다. 우리는 역사적, 경제적 관점에서 중국과 한국 간 무역의 진화를 평가하고, 정책 변화가 기업의 전략을 어떻게 형성했는지 분석하며, 이러한 변화가 글로벌 경제에서 양국의 입지에 어떤 영향을 미쳤는지 논의할 것이다. 이 연구를 통해 지역 경제 협력과 글로벌 경제거버넌스에 대한 더 깊은 이해와 미래 정책 결정에 대한 통찰력을 제공하는 것을 목표로 한다.

본 논문에서는 웹브라우저를 이용하여 로봇을 원격 제어한다. 4대의 독립된 PC를 사용하여 각각의 기능을 분리하고 상호 연동하는 구조로 PC를 연결하였다. 조작자가 시간과 장소에 제약받지 않고 웹 브라우저를 이용하여 제어값을 입력하면 제어값은 웹 서버를 거쳐 데이터베이스에 저장된다. 로봇과 연결된 PC는 데이터베이스에서 1ms 간격으로 제어값을 입력받아 제어값의 변화가 있을 경우만 제어값의 변화량으로 로봇이 동작한다. 스텝모터를 이용하여 간단한 로봇을 제작하고 이를 웹 브라우저를 이용하여 실제 동작시킨다. 조작자가 원하는 제어값이 최종 수신단의 로봇에 제대로 전달되어 동작하는지 확인하고 웹브라우저를 이용한 로봇제어의 가능성을 확인하였다.

As increasing trade through the world, especially in food, asymmetry of information can make the trade shrink. With the industrial development, Korea's agriculture had shrunk dramatically. By the result of the nation's industrial restructuring, over than 3/4 of Korea food consumption comes from abroad. And China is an important source of agricultural product to Korea. Increasing family income and increasing importing food consumption, Korean consumers have been interested in food safety. Especially. after experiencing several cases like struggle for safety of GMO food, poultry influenza, lead contained Chinese fish import, mad cow disease, cheating origin, etc. Obviously, those unreliable cases will hinder the increase of world free trade as well as the trust of two countries. Furthermore, distrust will be a cause of adverse selection. So, it need to find a way to solve the distrust which caused by asymmetry of information. And automatic identification procedures can help mitigate asymmetry of information in trade. And it will make Korean consumers can avoid adverse selection. This paper suggests adoption of Auto ID to encourage agricultural trade between Korea and China.

본 연구는 신 국제무역이론(Melitz, 2012, 2014, 2015)에 대한 실증분석을 목적으로 한다. 신 국제무역이론은 기업기술역량에 대한 이질적 기업분포가 무역효과에 미치는 영향을 중심으로 전개되고 있으며, 기업기술역량분포형태가 무역효과를 결정한다는 중요한 가정에서 출발한다. 본 연구는 실증적으로 우리나라 제조업에 기업기술역량분포를 추정하였다. 이 연구목적을 위하여 우리나라 총 기업기술역량분포를 기술혁신과 기술모방분포로 분리하였으며, 분포형태의 적합성에 대하여 통계적으로 검증하고, 신 국제무역이론기반에 대한 적정성을 평가하였다. 연구시사점으로 본 분석결과를 바탕으로 기술정책 및 산업정책 방향을 간단하게 제언하였다.

Purpose - This study reviews changes in the automobile export-import structure between Japan and USA through a trade related index, and focuses on analyzing comparative advantage based on time-series analysis of statistical data (2000, 2005, and 2012) by using the trade intensity index (TII), revealed comparative advantage index (RCA), and trade specialization index (TSI). Research design, data, and methodology - Japan and USA have mutually complementary economic phase characteristics. Therefore, this study aimed to understand each country's trade structure, to strengthen Japan-USA economic cooperation and aimed to examine trade drawbacks to analyze causes affecting trade and ways to improve it to facilitate its expansion. Results - These two economies have immense complementary potential and, further, significantly greater profits are assured from trade between them, as compared to any other integrated regional economic community. Conclusion - Economic cooperation between these two powers can provide opportunities for industry technology cooperation through partnerships against the backdrop of accelerating competition among industries, by identifying opportunities to secure stable resource suppliers and enlarge the export market.

전자무역거래에 있어서 대금결제와 관련하여, Identrus는 그 시스템의 엄청난 파급효과와 시급성에도 불구하고, 개발된 지 3년이 지나도록 여러 문제점으로 인하여 그 진척은 매우 더딘 상태이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 국제전자상거래에서 발행할 수 있는 신뢰문제와 국제상거래시 발생할 수 있는 신뢰문제를 dentrus 시스템 운용 모델을 중심으로 살펴보고, 국제전자무역 활성화에 기여하고자 한다.
