Time history analysis is usually performed to characterize the nonlinear seismic behavior of a spent fuel storage rack(SFSR). In the past, the seismic analyses of the SFSR were performed with two-dimensional planar models, which could not account for torsional response and simultaneous multi-directional seismic input In this study, three-dimensional seismic analysis methodology is developed for the single SFSR using the ANSYS code. The 3D- Model can be used to determine the nonlinear behavior of the rack, i.e., sliding, uplifting, and impact evaluation between the fuel assembly and rack, and rack and the pool wall, This paper also reviews the 3-D modeling of the SFSR and the adequacy of the ANSYS for the seismic analysis. AS a result of the adquacy study, the method of ANSYS transient analysis with acceleration time history is suitable for the seismic analysis of highly nonlinear structure such as an SFSR but it isn't appropriate to use displacement time history of seismic input.

The purpose of this study is to examine the trouble of recruitment and research and development of ICT SMEs. Recently, many ICT SMEs have emerged for selling products and services using the technology of the 4th industrial revolution. However, SMEs have relatively deficient resources compared to large companies, the difficulty of maintenance or growth of human resources and intangible resources. This research methodology organized the four stages of the analysis process. The first analysis is the association rules for human resource recruitment. The second analysis is the difficulty of hiring jobs and experienced workers by each stage of company growth. The third analysis is a regression analysis of the trouble of R&D activity. The last analysis is an analysis of association rules on the difficulties of management activities by company growth. As the research result, the first analysis has shown a difference in favored human resources by the ICT industry. The second analysis also showed factor differences in job recruitment difficulties for each stage of corporate growth. In the third analysis, the operation of research institutes in ICT SMEs is influenced by industry type, corporate certification, corporate growth stage, self-technology development, joint technology development, technology transfer, and commercialization. As the last analysis, ICT SMEs showed factor differences in difficulties in management activities by stage of corporate growth. This study contributed empirically emphasizing the troubling phenomenon of human resources and R&D necessary for the growth of ICT SMEs. As a theoretical implication, this research contributed to the research-area expansion of management information using big-data technologies. In particular, this research practically suggests the differentiated direction of recruitment and R&D by ICT SMEs based on industry and each stage of company growth through the association rules of big data.
The future will see all industries become technology-driven in the competitive global marketplace. Venture firms with deep technological roots and innovation strategies have some advantages. In this situation, existing methods for technology assessment are not enough to evaluate their relative technology competitiveness. Therefore, a more useful and comprehensive approach is needed to obtain the desired outcomes for measuring the relative competitiveness of technology effectively. In this research, I applied factor analysis, which is methodology to be capable of determining the common factors and associated weights reasonably, to the development of the technology competitiveness indexes.
This paper addresses the analysis method about optimal performance and required quantity for Mission-Based drones. In the case of drones, although scientific verification of operational performance and quantity of demanded, such as total flight time, total operation time, and appropriate required quantity, is required depending on the operation concept, there is no methodology for analyzing them systematically. That is the reason this research was carried out. Through the suggestion and study about Mission-Based six step analysis method and, this study can present the optimal ROC (Required Operational Capability) and the required quantity based on the operational concept of drones, and technical and economic effects were suggested.
Purpose: This study is designed to investigate the extent and nature of climate change disclosure of listed pharmaceutical companies of Bangladesh. Research design, data and methodology: In order to perform this research, a content analysis methodology is used. A climate change disclosure index is constructed to examine 12 different climate change disclosure issues. Information is collected from the annual reports of 29 pharmaceutical companies listed on the Dhaka Stock Exchange for the year 2019. Results: This study finds that only 48.28% of the sample companies provided disclosure on at least one issue regarding climate change. 'Energy savings' is the mostly disclosed issue whereas 'Pollution control expenditure', 'Biodiversity conservation initiatives' are the least disclosed issues. Research implication: This study concludes 64.29% of the companies examined, use less than five sentences for climate change disclosure, which depicts unsatisfactory disclosure practices regarding climate change issues. Study findings would be helpful for different industries of Bangladesh to implement efficient climate change reporting Practice. Future studies can be conducted on other industries to obtain more comprehensive result.
Response surface methodology was employed to optimize extraction conditions for finding the maximal functional properties of Pleurotus eryngii. Based on central composite design, the study plan was established with variations of microwave power (30-150 W), ethanol concentration (0-99.9%), and extraction time (1-9 min). Regression analysis was applied to obtain a mathematical model. A maximal yield of 47.86% was obtained when the microwave power, ethanol concentration, and extraction time were set at 122.7 W, 42.14%, and 8.3 min, respectively. A maximized electron donating ability of 93.32% was found under the following conditions: a microwave power of 144.19 W, an ethanol concentration of 49.52%, and an extraction time of 6.7 min. When the microwave power, ethanol concentration, and extraction time were set at 125.43 W, 40.54%, and 8.1 min, respectively, the maximum nitrite-scavenging ability was 80.47%. The optimum ranges of the extraction conditions, superimposed by the response surface methodology, could predicate a microwave power of 110-150 W, ethanol concentration of 0-45%, and extraction time of 7-9 min.
In this paper, we present a fatigue life prediction methodology using multiple S-N curves according to the different stress states of laminated composites. The stress states of the plies of the laminated composites are classified into five modes: longitudinal tension or compression and transverse tension or compression, and shear according to the maximum stress criterion and Puck's criterion with a scaling factor K. This methodology has advantages in computational cost, and it can also consider microstructural characteristics of the composites by applying different S-N curves. The S-N curves for the fatigue analysis are obtained by experimental fatigue test. The proposed methodol is implemented into commercial software, ABAQUS user material subroutine and therefore, the fatigue analysis is conducted using the structural analysis results. The finite element (FE) simulation results are presented for unidirectional composites with and without open-hole. The FE simulation results show that the stress condition is different depending on the fiber orientation of the unidirectional composite, so the fatigue life is calculated with different S-N curves.
Purpose: This research proposes a new modified Recency-Frequency-Monetary (RFM) model by extending the model with spatial analysis for supporting decision-makers in discovering the promotional target market. Research design, data and methodology: This quantitative research utilizes data-mining techniques and the RFM model to cluster a university's provider schools. The RFM model was modified by adapting its variables to the university's marketing context and adding a district's potential (D) variable based on heatmap analysis using Geographic Information System (GIS) and K-means clustering. The K-prototype algorithm and the Elbow method were applied to find provider school clusters using the proposed RFM-D model. After profiling the clusters, the target segment was assigned. The model was validated using empirical data from an Indonesian university, and its performance was compared to the Customer Lifetime Value (CLV)-based RFM utilizing accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score metrics. Results: This research identified five clusters. The target segment was chosen from the highest-value and high-value clusters that comprised 17.80% of provider schools but can contribute 75.77% of students. Conclusions: The proposed model recommended more targeted schools in higher-potential districts and predicted the target segment with 0.99 accuracies, outperforming the CLV-based model. The empirical findings help university management determine the promotion location and allocate resources for promotional information distribution and student recruitment.
