혁신형 중소기업의 조직혁신역량이 기업의 수출성과에 미치는 영향 (The Relationship between Organization Innovation Capabilities and Export Performance of Technological Innovation type SMEs)

  • Purpose - This study investigate the effect of innovative capacity on corporate export performance and moderating flexibility. Design/methodology/approach - For this, hypotheses were established by reviewing previous studies and an empirical analysis was conducted for testing. Using SPSS 22.0, a frequency analysis of related variables was conducted. Through an exploratory factor analysis, validity and reliability tests of measuring tools were conducted and a descriptive statistics was analyzed for collected data result and hypotheses testing. Findings - Finally, with a verified model, the hypotheses and the moderating effects were tested. The results are as follows; The innovationa capacities have a positive effect on export performance and flexibility However, the flexbilitiy was not moderator in the relationship between innovative capacity and export performance. Research implications or Originality - According to the results above, this study presents directions to improve export performance of technological innovative type SMEs.   • 본 연구는 바이오기업의 외부 네트워크 전략을 공동연구 협력, 제조/마케팅/판매 제휴, 자금지원, M&A 등 4가지로 구분하고, 이와 같은 바이오기업의 외부네트워크 전략이 기업의 성과에 미친 영향을 살펴보기 위하여 미국 바이오기업 패널자료를 사용하여 분석한다. 첫째, 기술개발 이후의 제조/판매/마케팅 제휴는 단기간에도 모든 기업성과를 증진시키는 역할을 하였다. 둘째, 기술개발단계에서의 연구개발협력 중 제약회사와의 협력은1~2년 이후의 기업성과에, 그리고 타 바이오기업과의 연구개발협력은 2년 이후의 기업성과에 정의효과를 가져왔다. 셋째, 가장 장기적이며 기초연구에 주목적을 두고 있는 공공기관 및 대학과의 공동연구 협력은 단기적인 기업성과에 부정적으로 작용하여 향후 2~3년이 아닌 보다 장기적인 관점에서 재조명되어야 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 실증분석결과는 국내 바이오산업의 발전을 위하여 외부 네트워크전략을 통하여 기술혁신을 경주하는 노력이 필요하며, 또한 주로 기초기술에 집중된 공공기관과 대학과의 공동연구를 지원하는 정책적 고려가 필요함을 시사한다.

기술축적과정에서의 사용자-생산자 관계 : 우리나라 기계제어 컴퓨터 사례

  • This paper analyses characteristics of the numerical controller industry in market formation and the flow of information between users and producers and the characteristic of knowledge base of the industry and discuses the difficulties derived, from the characteristics, in accumulation of technological capability. In market formation between users and producers, the multi-layered market is not favorable to domestic producers in that lower end market is not large enough to provide cradle market to them which produce inferior quality and lower price than imported products. The credibility of the performance of a product is different to prove until a critical mass of products are sold. Therefore gaining market share is deterred by unproven credibility of the performance of the product. The flow of information between users and producers is limited. The flow of information on users environment through mass market to producers is essential for improving credibility of a product. The nature of knowledge base is tacit and the means of knowledge transmission is limited. Technological licensing and reverse engineering, which have been conventional means of knowledge transmission, are not useful in the numerical controller industry. These characteristics provide conditions of vicious circle in accumulation of technological capability of the numerical controller industry. This paper argues that these characteristics of the industry challenge existing approach to R&D management and framework of science and technology policy.

  • Recently, the market competition has been fiercer due to the acceleration of technological change and the launch of intelligent products. In this situation, technology cooperation activities through networks rather than independent technological innovation activities of a single company or institution are recognized as a crucial strategy to gain competitiveness. Technology cooperation can take various forms depending on the target technology, and researchers have conducted performance analyses of technology cooperation types. However, there have not been data-based quantitative studies on the types and trends of technology cooperation for the target technology. In this paper, we explored the difference between the technology cooperation types by technology and time using the formal concept analysis method and co-patent information. In particular, the proposed methodology has been verified through the case study of electric vehicles, and it is intended to suggest the direction of technological cooperation according to specific technologies and cooperation targets in the future

  • The purpose of this study is first to understand whether technology innovation capability, which is considered an important factor in the Root companies, directly affects the business performance of the company. Second, it was attempted to determine whether internal resources deemed necessary for a company's continuous competitive advantage and excellent business performance play a mediating role in the technological innovation capability of the Root companies and the business performance. The implications of this study derived from the research results are as follows: Among the elements of technology innovation capability, R&D capability, positively affects both financial and non-financial performance. It was confirmed that the investment ratio could positively affect financial performance such as sales, market share, and yield, and non-financial performance such as corporate image, employee satisfaction, and productivity. Among the factors of technology innovation capability, the technology innovation system positively affects both financial and non-financial performance. Therefore, it can be said that securing rights to owned technology, establishing technology and funding, efficient use of resources, etc., affects financial performance such as sales or market share of a company, and affect the company's production capacity, image, and employee satisfaction. It has been verified that internal resources, including financial, physical, and human resources, can mediate between the three elements of technology innovation capability and corporate financial and non-financial performance.

  • Governments around the world place great hopes in innovation in their search for new sources of growth and for responses to grand challenges, such as climate change, new or re-emerging infectious diseases, accelerating urbanisation, ageing, food security, and availability of clean water. However they must devise their relevant support policies -- including through sponsored research within public research institutes -- taking into account that innovation processes are currently undergoing a major transformation. New innovation patterns include a broadening scope of relevant activities, a growing importance but changing nature of scientific roots of technological development, a stronger demand-pull, the emergence of new local and national STI powerhouses, and the rise of more open and globalised innovation networks. They translate into new opportunities but also constraints for policies to enhance the contribution of public research institutes to national innovation performance. The article derives the main policy implications regarding the desirable evolution of the mission, research focus, as well as the funding and steering of public research institutes, with a special reference to Korea.

  • 기업은 지속적인 성장과 경쟁우위 확보를 위해 기술개발 관련 적극적인 혁신 활동을 하고 있다. 이러한 기업혁신활동이 기업혁신성과에 미치는 요인은 여러 가지가 있지만, 기업의 이러한 혁신 활동이 항상 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것은 아니다. 이에 본 연구에서는 기업혁신요인 중 혁신촉진요인과 혁신저해요인을 중심으로 혁신성과에 미치는 효과를 분석하였다. 연구모형은 2016년 기술혁신조사(STEPI)에 응답한 2,081개 국내 제조기업을 분석하였고, 신뢰도, 타당성 및 로지스틱 회귀분석을 위해 SPSS 25.0이 사용되었다. 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 혁신 활동은 제품혁신성과와 공정혁신성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치며, 정부지원은 반대의 결과를 나타냈다. 둘째, 기술 협력은 혁신촉진 및 저해요인과 상관없이 제품혁신성과에 긍정적인 영향을 나타냈다. 셋째, 혁신 활동은 혁신촉진 및 저해요인과 상관없이 공정혁신성과에 긍정적인 영향을 나타냈다. 본 연구는 기술적 혁신에 한정된 기존 선행연구들과는 달리 혁신촉진요인과 혁신저해요인에 대한 기업들의 태도를 구분하여 그에 따라 집단별로 혁신 성과가 어떻게 달라지는지를 중심으로 수행하였기 때문에 혁신의 실패와 위험부담을 낮출 수 있는 기업혁신전략을 수립하는데 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

  • Large corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises businesses have tried finding cooperative partner models through win-win activity. In this study, certain factors were researched, which affect on the achievements by win-win activity of large corporative and SMEs from a standpoint of development by SMEs, the establishment of confidence, technical innovation and competence of value chain competence in order to enforce supplying value under the win-win activity. The result of this research presents that the achievement of win-win activity by large corporations and SMEs is related positively to developmental capability, cooperative culture, developmental innovation, innovation of process, outer technological innovation and value chain.

  • 비즈니스 환경이 급변하는 현대사회에서 기업은 환경변화에 유연하게 대처할 수 있는 역량을 갖추고자 노력한다. 즉, 산업 변화에 따라 변화를 모색하지 않는 기업은 도태될 우려가 있기 때문에, 다양한 전략을 구사하여 기업의 성과를 달성하고자 한다. 또한 기업의 성과는 국가 경쟁력의 주요한 핵심 요소이며, 정부도 기업 성과 극대화를 위해 다양한 지원을 아끼지 않는다. 이에 본 연구는 혁신형 인증 보유 유무 및 보유 유형에 따라 성과 달성을 위한 기업의 전략과 정부의 정책에 차이가 있는가를 살펴보고자 한다. 기업의 전략 구성 노력을 크게 외부지식을 탐색하고 활용하는 정도로 구분하였고, 정부의 정책은 직접지원, 간접지원, 재정지원으로 나누어 살펴보았다. 기업의 성과는 혁신적인 관점의 기술성과와, 기업의 실질적인 성과인 매출액을 대리변수로 활용하여 경영성과를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 혁신형 인증 보유 유무에 따라 성과에 영향을 미치는 변수가 상이한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 혁신형 인증 유형별로 기업의 성과에 영향을 미치는 변수가 상이한 것으로 나타났다. 기업은 환경에 따라 기술의 발달 및 변화속도가 달라지기 때문에 발생하는 문제들을 매번 자체적으로 해결하는데 한계가 있다. 이에 기업은 효과적으로 외부지식을 탐색 및 활용 할 수 있어야 하며, 장기적 관점에서 내부 지식뿐만 아니라 외부 지식 기반 및 수준도 고려해야 한다는 시사점을 얻을 수 있었다. 따라서 기업들이 처한 상황 및 혁신형 인증 유형별로 차별화된 행동 전략을 고려해야 기업의 성과를 달성할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.
