This study has the purpose to identify the correlation of engineering education major college students' technological problem solving tendency between technological problem solving capability. To that end, the technological problem solving tendencies of 79 students enrolled in engineering education related department in college of education, 'C' University located in Daejeon metropolitan city were examined, and the correlation of technological problem solving tendency between technological problem solving capability was analyzed through measurement of technological problem solving capability. As for the correlation among problem solving confidence a sub-element of technological problem solving tendency and technological problem solving capability, positive correlation was found in result 3, result 4 and result average. As for the correlation among approach-avoidance tendency a sub-element of technological problem solving tendency and technological problem solving capability, positive correlation was found in result 5 and result average. As for the correlation among self-control recognition degree the sub-element of technological problem solving tendency and technological problem solving capability, positive correlation was found in result 1, result 3 and result average. As for the correlation among problem solving tendency and technological problem solving capability, positive correlation was found in result 3, result 4, result 5 and result average.

This paper focuses on the significant issues of technological capability development of latecomer firms, and government policies enabling such firms to attain certain level of technological capability. The survey and case studies of manufacturing firms in Thailand were conducted to substantiate and investigate the process of technological capability development of latecomer firms. The analysis portrays a dynamic view of technological capability development that comprises three key elements namely strategic capability, internal capability, and external linkage capability. The paper, subsequently, discusses and suggests a tentative taxonomy of government policies and measures to support firms' technological capability development.

In the knowledge-based economy, technological capability is critical for the survival and growth of firms. Technological capability differs across firms depending on the structural and environmental conditions. In nature, the evaluation of technological capability is an intractable task and thus previous studies often employ such proxy measures as patent, productivity, or profitability. In this research, we define technological capability as a combination of the above three measures and investigate, by using the multi-variate statistical analysis, the characteristics of technological capability of electronics/IT firms of Korea. We first propose a taxonomy in which firms are classified into four clusters based on the differences in the nature of technological capability. Then, across clusters, we comparatively analyze the relationship between technological capability and structural/environmental factors of firms. Finally, the implications of empirical findings will be discussed. This study is a small-scale, descriptive one but will be extended and elaborated by augmenting the database and/or incorporating more variables.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the process and its influencing factors of technological capability building in a small and medium-sized capital goods sector. This paper first reviews the influencing factors of accumulating technological capability-technology trajectory, technology sources, technological capability, technological learning, technology strategy, and entrepreneurship. The paper then presents the integrative model of technological capability building. The experience of Mirae Corporation, the first generation of venture company in Korea, is also discussed as a case in point to analyse the process of technological capability building in a small and medium-sized capital goods company. Finally, the implications and limitations of the study arc discussed.

본 연구는 중소기업의 전략적 자원으로 인식되고 있는 최고경영자의 역량 중 기술적 역량이 기업성과에 미치는 영향과 기업의 기술적 역량이 최고경영자 기술적 역량과 기업성과사이에 매개역할을 하는지에 대해 분석하였다. 분석을 위한 총 표본은 기술보증기금에서 보유하고 있는 중소기업 데이타를 활용하였으며, 분석결과 CEO의 기술적 역량은 기업의 기술적 역량에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 고학력일수록, 동업종종사경험이 많을수록 연구개발 활동에 적극적임을 알 수 있었고, 기술파급효과와 경영성과에는 유의한 영향을 미치나 기술성과인 특허건수, 출원 중 특허건수에는 유의한 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 기업의 기술적 역량이 CEO의 기술적 역량과 기술성과인 특허건수, 출원중 특허 건수에는 유의한 부(-)의 매개효과가 나타났으나, CEO의 기술적역 량과 기술적 파급 효과간, CEO의 기술적 역량과 경영성과 간에는 매개역할을 하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. CEO의 기술적 역량이 기업의 기술적 역량인 기업기술개발 능력과 경영성과에 유의한 영향을 미치므로 전문지식에 바탕을 둔 이공계 창업이 일반 창업보다 성공가능성이 높다는 것을 보여준다.

While many previous studies have emphasized that technological and learning capabilities have an important impact on internationalization, however, there have been few attempts to directly identify the mediating role of innovative performance in the relationship between them. Therefore, we tested the relationships among two organizational capabilities such as technological capability and learning capability, innovative performance and internationalization. Specifically, we explored the impact of two organizational capabilities on innovative performance and the mediating role of innovative performance on internationalization. We tested hypotheses based on 206 survey data of Gwangju and Jeonnam provinces' small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The empirical results showed that both technological capability and learning capability had a significantly positive (+) effect on SMEs' innovation performance, and both technological capability and learning capability had a significantly positive (+) effect on internationalization performance. In addition, it was confirmed that the innovation performance is not only related to the relationship between technological capability and internationalization performance but also acts as a partial mediation role in the relationship between the learning capability and internationalization performance. Based on the results of this study, theoretical and practical implications were provided, and the limitations of this study and future research directions were also discussed.

본 연구는 국내 유일의 상업용 위성을 생산, 수출하는 기업인 (주)쎄트렉아이의 사례를 살펴보았다. 위성산업의 기술학습과정과 기술능력의 한계를 극복하고 기술능력의 축적에 이르기까지의 경로와 패턴을 연구하였다. 사례기업의 연구결과, 기술혁신과정과 영향요인을 도출할 수 있었다. 첫째, 위성산업의 기술학습은 모방에 의한 기술획득, 소화, 개선의 과정으로 축적되며 기술능력으로 구체화된다. 둘째, 위성산업의 축적된 기술능력은 기술혁신에 영향을 준다. 셋째, 최고경영자팀(TMT)은 기술학습에 영향을 주며, 기술능력 향상에도 영향을 미친다. 넷째, TMT는 기술능력이 기술혁신성과로 나타나도록 영향을 미친다. 마지막으로 중소벤처기업이 이루어낸 기술혁신은 기술능력과 기술학습의 원천이 되는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 시사점은 다음과 같다. 기업의 지속적인 기술혁신을 위해서는 TMT이 역할이 매우 중요하며, 기술적 측면, 생산적 측면에서 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 것을 확인 하였다. 또한 기술기반의 기업이 지속적이고 안정적인 성장을 위해서는 기술학습을 통한 경쟁력을 확보해야하며, 이는 기술기반의 기업이면 기술혁신의 바탕이 기술학습에서 시작된다는 것을 시사한다.

As the world construction market is rearranged by the level of technological capability, recently the technological capability in construction industry is developing rapidly. The important of measuring and analyzing technological capability in construction industry is gaining more and more emphasis. It enables to grasp the past and present situation of construction industry as well as to foresee changes in the future. However the concept of technological capability cannot be identified easily, as well as it is hard to compare that capability of construction industry among different countries. Although there have been numerous studies conducted on the technological capability of construction industry, most of the studies were in formsof surveys of specialists or industry professionals which lacked objectivity and sound basis for data. This study will be focused on investigating the methodology in exploiting and measuring surface of the earth and developing indicator and process to understand technological capability in construction industry through quantitative and statistical analysis. Then it will verify them through a case study.

The purpose of this research was to test the effects of technological innovation capability and technology commercialization capability on new product performance of the companies in electronics industry and the moderating role of perceived usefulness of government R&D support. For this study, Research data were collected through questionnaire instruments from the sample of 346 employees in 17 electronics companies of metropolitan area. The 305 sample was selected and analyzed by hierarchical regression technique. The results showed that technological innovation capability and technology commercialization capability had a positive effect on new product performance. And also found out perceived usefulness of government R&D support had the moderate roles between only technical innovation system our of three technological innovation capability factors and new product performance, and also between only manufacturing capability our of three technological commercialization capability factors and new product performance. With the research results, the implications for electronics company were discussed, and the directions for future research were suggested.

본 연구의 목적은 기술혁신형중소기업(이노비즈)의 건전한 성장발전을 위하여 기업의 중요한 전략적 자원으로 인식되고 있는 기술혁신능력과 기술사업화능력이 시장정보지향성을 매개로 경영성과에 미치는 영향을 분석하여 기술혁신형중소기업의 효율적인 경영관리와 정부의 정책방향에 시사점을 제공하고자 하는데 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 우리나라 기술혁신형 중소기업를 대상으로 오슬로매뉴얼과 선행연구를 토대로 연구개발능력, 기술축적능력, 기술혁신체제를 기술혁신능력으로, 제품화능력, 생산화능력, 마케팅능력을 기술사업화능력으로 구성하고, 이들 요인들이 시장정보지향성을 매개 변수로 경영성과에 미치는 영향을 실증분석을 통하여 검증하였다. 연구결과에 의하면, 제품경쟁력 향상과 같은 기술의 상업적 성과와 직접적인 관련이 있는 경영성과는 기술혁신체제나 생산화능력, 마케팅능력 등의 경영관리적 측면에서의 능력이 상대적으로 큰 영향을 미치며 기술적 성과를 의미하는 신기술/신제품개발 성과는 연구개발능력, 기술축적능력, 제품화능력 등 공학적 측면에서의 능력이 상대적으로 큰 영향을 미친다는 것을 보여 주었다. 또한 시장정보지향성과 관련하여 신기술/신제품개발 등의 기술적 성공을 위해서는 조직내부에서의 정보확산 수준이 상대적으로 크게 부각되고 있고, 제품경쟁력 향상 등 상업적 성공을 이루기 위해서는 정보에 대한 반응수준이 더 크게 요구된다는 점을 함축하고 있다.
