The present study analyzed empirically the structural relationship among characters, market orientation and performance of CEO's in small and medium-sized companies. The analysis showed that market orientation is affected by CEO's characters in the industry. It was also revealed from the analysis that the business performance and technical renovation of small and medium-sized companies rely fairly on their market orientation. These findings are believed to have great significance in the process of creating market orientation by the industry. That is, CEO's will may play a very important role in pursuit of market orientation and, at the same time, may act as a vital factor for small and medium-sized companies to achieve business performance and to realize technical renovation.

The JAXA's TechCLEAN project(2003-present) is summarized, with the interim technical achievements. TechCLEAN is collateral program with the NEDO engine project to accelerate R&D work of small passenger aircraft engine as well as to develop innovative environment technologies applicable to the future improvements. In the project NOx reduction, CO2 reduction and noise reduction are targeted. Component level researches and system demonstrator validation are planned with test facility renovation and demonstration base engines.

Korea became the 5th country by opening the Kyungbu-Highspeed Railway in April of 2004, which has contributed to technical innovations and motivated to increase SOC investment for the Railroad facilities. This increase of Railroad facilities will need the many railroad civil engineers who are in charge of construction and maintenance. Moreover, we need more qualitative engineers to catch up with the speed of technical renovation and to play an important role in exporting our railroad technique to outside country such as China, and Russia. In this paper, a new alternative of training railroad civil engineers will be investigated in relation to NURI Project, which is sponsored by Ministy of Education.

Since the 7th educational renovation was established, ICT has emerged as an indispensable tool for teaching a variety of subjects in technical high schools. This paper develops the model for explaining the factors affecting the use of web contents as a mode for studying Electronic subject. Based on data collected from a questionnaire survey from the students who studied the Electronic subject using web contents, a following conclusion is provided: the perceived usefulness, ease of use and the playfulness significantly affect the level of satisfaction, but the design of contents, image, quality, attitude as well as self-efficacy only indirectly affect the satisfaction level. This result might provide the useful guidelines for designing the web-contents for technical high school students.

Purpose: This study is to identify the implications and improvement solutions to plan the local community spaces bringing empty homes back into use that fit for regional characteristics, by analyzing the Empty Home Utilization Project implemented in Nam-gu, Incheon. Methods: Among 20 homes sponsored by the Project, five homes being currently operated were analyzed in depth, and features of exterior and interior spaces, and operational characteristics of the subject homes having been renovated through the project sponsorship were examined. Results: A plan is being established to systematically manage deserted or empty homes by assigning classification to each home in Nam-gu, Incheon and they are being utilized as a community space, a place of business or a cultural art space. Most of the physical improvements only included minor repairs such as redoing interior finish, as no major renovation was implemented including layout change and wall removing. Absence of major changes including improvement of house structure resulted in problems regarding accessibility and safety. Also, there was a limit to utilize the spaces only with support on physical improvement cost for empty homes, and it was identified that positive support for renovation should be conducted in accordance with its uses for the purpose. Implications: To complete the Empty Home Utilization Project successfully, it is most critical to reflect the resident opinions and demands, and discover local operators. Furthermore, for sustainable operation of local community space, additional plans for support would be required including financial support and training local leaders, consulting support for operation, encouraging community participation, and connecting with neighbor community.

The study is to find possibilities and problems of a small-scale modification on movable storage furniture as an answer to the residents' needs. The study selected one of the renovated housing units at "KYUDOGAKUSHA" as a case study. "KYUDOGAKUSHA" was designed by architect Takeda Goichi in 1926 and was renovated in 2006. The study investigates major two aspects of movable storage furniture, which includes the furniture's layout planning and technical issues of assembling and moving moveable storage furniture. The experimental test result shows that, 1) It is clear that island type of movable storage furniture's layout can facilitate the residents'small-scale modification even though the residents are untrained. 2) To increase the assembling efficiency, the study found that it is necessary to improve the movable storage furniture's casters so that furniture can rotate. Certain moveable furniture which played a role as a connector between other furniture pieces was not able to move vertically and caused a load on other connected furniture; this needed an improvement.

Space transformation of hospital architecture happens more rapidly than other types such as school and office buildings. This requirement is caused by medical demand, service transformation, technical development and equipment changes. Grand scale extension and rapid change in hospital architecture affects whole planning; therefore, it is important to design in the macro perspective such like Life Cycle. Grand scale extension is difficult process to rebuild growth and transfer of hospital architecture and to adapt to the future change. That's why simple planning gives limits to some departments in a short-term and brings another reform such as more extension or interior renovation in a long-term. This study surveys various space transformation and grand scale extension of EB hospital extended recently, and it is to find planning condition in extension.
