This work aims to investigate mathematics teachers' knowledge and belief on the high school probability and statistics. For this aim, two research questions are estabilished as follows. (1) How is mathematics teachers' knowledge on the main contents of the high school probability and statistics in the 7th mathematics curriculum? (2) What is mathematics teachers' belief on the high school probability and statistics? Survey and interviews were carried out to answer the above research questions. Subjects of the survey were 2 7mathematics teachers who were answered to questionnaire. Among them, 3 volunteers were chosen by provinces for in-depth interview. Research findings in mathematics teacher's knowledge are as follows. Firstly, mathematics teachers do not have much of mathematical knowledge on the newly added and changed contents of the high school probability and statistics in the 7th mathematics curriculum. Secondly, mathematics teachers do not change their teaching-learning method for probability and statistics. Thirdly, many teachers think that the use of technology and reconstruction of the textbooks are required in teaching and learning of the high school probability and statistics. But, they stick on their own way. Research findings in mathematics teachers' belief are as follows. Firstly, many mathematics teachers view the nature of statistics as a branch of the applied mathematics and put the value of high school probability and statistics on the practical usefulness, Secondly, many mathematics teachers think that understanding concepts and improving problem solving ability are the best method of the teaching and learning. Thirdly, many mathematics teachers think that high school probability and statistics textbooks should cause motivations and interests in order not to give up studying probability and statistics. It is expected that the above findings can be used to change teachers' teaching and learning methods and to improve teachers training program.

본 연구는 교수학습지원센터에서 교육정보를 이용하고 있는 학생들을 대상으로 해당 교수학습지원센터에 대한 만족도와 효과성을 분석하였다. 이를 토대로 교수학습지원센터가 학생에 대한 교육 지원을 강화하기 위해 어떤 부분의 개선이 필요한지 개선 사항을 도출하고자 하는 목적을 가지고 있다. 분석 결과, 각 학교급에 따른 만족도와 효과를 가지고 있었으며, 개선에 대한 요구도 다른 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 교수학습지원센터는 일원화된 서비스 체계보다는 학교급에 적합한 서비스를 강화할 필요가 있다. 즉, 교육정보를 제공함에 있어서도 초등학생과 중학생에게는 재미와 흥미를 강화할 수 있는 개선이 요구되며, 고등학생에게는 정보의 질적 측면을 강화하는 등의 노력이 요구된다.

디지털화된 새로운 패러다임(paradigm)은 교수 미디어에 있어서도 많은 변화를 가져오고 있다. 과거의 일방적 지식전달방식에서 탈피하여 피교육자 스스로 선택적으로 강의를 찾아다니면서 본인의 능력에 맞도록 수업을 할 수 있으며, 각종 e-Learning 컨텐츠의 활용은 물론 피드백이 가능한 커뮤니케이션을 요구하게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 디자인 기술 분야의 교과목에서 도입중인 e-Learning을 중심으로 고려되어야 할 사항 및 효율적인 학습방법과 그 활성화 방안의 한 가지를 제시하였다.

본 연구는 영자 신문 발간 활동이 영어 의사소통 능력 향상에 미치는 긍정적인 영향을 확인하며 프로젝트 기반의 출판 과정을 통한 독립적이면서도 협동적인 학습 환경의 구현가능성을 탐색한다. 한국과학영재학교의 첫 번째 영자 신문 발간 기획은 프로젝트 기반의 교수학습 방법을 적용한 일련의 단계를 거쳐서 완성되었다. 영어 능력과 참여도에 따른 학생 편집자 선발 과정을 시작으로 분야와 주제 및 제재를 선택하고 역할과 기사를 배분하며 결과물을 통합 편집하는 과정을 거친다. 전 과정에 걸쳐 참여자들은 최소한의 지도 감독 아래서 독립적이면서도 협력적으로 활동에 참여하였다. 사후 설문조사에 따르면 성공적인 영자신문의 발간이 전반적 영어 능력을 향상 시켰을 뿐만 아니라 긍정적인 학습자 자아인식과 주도적인 학습 태도를 키웠다고 나타났다. 본 연구는 언어 교육 뿐 아니라 통합적인 프로젝트 기반 교수 학습에 있어 신문 잡지 등의 출판 활동이 주는 장점을 논하는 한편, 향후 프로젝트 교수 학습 방법과 영어 의사소통능력 향상과 관련된 보다 심화된 연구가능성을 제시한다.

교육부에서는 21세기 지식정보사회에서 요구하는 창의적이고 능동적인 인간을 기르기 위하여 ICT 활용 교육을 강화하고 있다. 교수 학습과정에서 ICT의 가장 큰 목적은 학생들의 창의적 사고와 다양한 학습활동을 촉진시켜 학습목표를 달성할 수 있도록 지원하는데 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 ICT 활용 교육이 차지하는 비중이 점차 높아짐에 따라 에듀넷에서 제공하는 교사용 컨텐츠 중에서 교수 학습에 적용할 수 있는 컨텐츠를 분석하여 교사들이 좀 더 쉽게 에듀넷의 컨텐츠를 활용할 수 있는 방안을 찾아보는 데 있다. 이를 통해 ICT 활용 능력이 부족한 교사들도 쉽게 에듀넷을 이용할 수 있고 체계적이고 정선된 ICT 활용교육이 교과에 자연스럽게 통합되어 학습의 효과가 높아짐은 물론 교사들의 정보화 능력이 향상되고 수업에 자신감을 가지고 다양한 교수 학습을 전개할 수 있으리라는 점을 알 수 있었다.

제7차 교육과정에서 수학교육은 다양한 개인의 능력을 고려하여 학습내용의 적정화, 학습자중심의 활동중심수업 증가, 단계형 수준별 교육을 지향하고 있다. 그러나 실제 초등학교의 많은 교사들이 수학 학습지도에서 겪고 있는 어려움 중의 하나가 상당수의 학생들이 교과서의 내용을 최소한 몇 개월 정도 미리 배워오기 때문에 학교수업은 수준이 낮아 흥미가 없다고 냉소하고, 그렇지 못한 학생들은 학교수업이 너무 부담이 되어 흥미를 잃고 있어 현실적인 대안이 시급하다는 것이다. 이러한 초등수학교실의 문제를 해결할 수 있는 방안의 하나로 적절한 교수·학습자료 활용의 수업을 들 수 있다. 이는 아동들에게는 보다 흥미 있는 수업을, 교사들에게는 보다 효과적으로 학습목표에 도달할 수 있게 할 수 있다. 이를 구체적으로 실천하기 위해 초등학교 교과서에서 비중이나 학습난이도가 높은 단원을 찾아 효과적인 교수· 학습자료의 활용방안과 앞으로 자료개발에 도움을 주고자 하였다.

개정된 정보통신기술 운영지침에 따르면 초등학교에서부터 알고리즘을 학습 내용으로 다루도록 하였으며 이에 따라 초등학교 현장에서도 알고리즘을 쉽고 효과적으로 지도하기 위한 다각적인 교육 방법 연구가 필요해졌다. 이에 본 연구 과정에서는 초등학교 저학년을 대상으로 알고리즘의 중요한 부분으로 인식되는 정렬 알고리즘을 학습 내용으로 선정한 후 활동을 통한 교수-학습 방법과 애니메이션 기반의 교수-학습 방법을 적용해보고 학습 효과를 비교 분석하는데 주안점을 두었다. 두 가지 방법으로 정렬 알고리즘 교수-학습을 적용한 후 별도로 제작한 학업 성취도 평가지와 설문지 분석 결과, 크게 두 가지 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 첫째, 교수-학습 방법에 따른 학업 성취도에는 별다른 차이가 없었으나 초등학교 저학년 학생들도 정렬 알고리즘을 충분히 학습할 수 있다는 점과 둘째, 활동을 통한 알고리즘 교육이 애니메이션 기반의 정렬 알고리즘 교육에 비해 학생의 이해도, 흥미도 및 만족도 측면에서는 좀 더 효과적이라는 것을 알 수 있었다.

본 연구는 현장에서 '생애설계와 진로탐색' 단원의 효과적인 수업을 위한 기초자료를 제공하고 도서관을 활용한 실천적 문제 중심 학습의 활용 가능성을 제시하는데 목적을 두고 설계되었다. 제7차 교육과정 고등학교 10학년 12종 교과서의 '생활설계' 단원과, 2007 개정 교육과정 해설서의 9학년 '생애설계와 진로탐색' 단원에 대한 내용을 분석한 결과를 바탕으로 실천적 문제를 정의하고 '생애설계와 진로탐색' 단원의 내용을 재구성하여 10차시의 학교도서관을 활용한 실천적 문제중심 가정과 교수-학습 과정안을 개발하였다. 경기도 S고등학교의 재학생 139명을 대상으로 실험집단에는 개발된 학교도서관을 활용한 문제중심 수업을 도서관에서, 비교집단에는 동일주제를 가지고 교실에서 수업을 진행한 후 '생애설계와 진로탐색' 단원에 대한 의식 및 태도와 가정과에 대한 인식의 향상정도를 공변량 분석(ANCOVA)으로 알아보고, 학생의 수업방법에 대한 만족도를 살펴보았다. 연구결과, 개발된 도서관을 활용한 실천적 문제중심 수업은 교실에서의 실천적 문제중심 수업보다 '생애설계와 진로탐색'과 관련된 바람직한 의식과 태도를 형성하고 발전시키는데 크게 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 가정교과를, 과학지식을 가정생활에 응용하는 능력을 기르는 교과, 가정과 연결된 사회문제 분석 능력을 기르는 교과, 주변사람들을 돌보고 존중하는 능력을 기르는 교과, 현대사회에서 중요한 교과라고 긍정적으로 인식하게 하는데 영향을 미치고 있었으며, 수업방법과 수업 전반에 대한 학생들의 만족도가 매우 높은 것으로 나타났다.

This study is used to understand the characteristics of home economics teachers that could to help develop personal development in home economics teacher and home economics education. The questionnaire survey was conducted on 150 home economics teachers who belong to either the home economics teachers' study association or Korean home economics education essociation. The survey was processed with frequency analysis, standard deviations, factor analysis, independent sample t-test, and reliability analysis using SPSS 12.0 depending on the contents of the research. The study results are as follows. First, for home economics teachers' conscious teaching, they build their own identities as experts, and have a vocation and sense of duty for their job. The culture of research and investigation community to study education and to maintain collaborative relationships with teachers of home economics teachers' associations has evolved. Second, home economics teachers have the ability to analyze and manage students' demands in order to perform teaching activities, and understand individual student characteristics. They understand new study trends and curriculum, develop sources for class, use appropriate teaching and learning theories, and create students' reflective activities. In addition, they grow their learning ability as specialist and study in self-oriented ways.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the transfer in mathematics learning, especially focussing on arithmetic and algebra. There are many obstacles at the stage of transfer in learning. In the case of mathematics, each learning contents are definitely categorized by the learning level, therefore these obstacles are more happened than other subjects. First of all, this paper investigates the historical transfer from arithmetic to algebra by Sfard's perspectives. And we define prealgebra as the stage between arithmetic and algebra, which may be revised obstacles or misconceptions happened in the early algebra learning. Also, this paper discusses various obstacles and concrete examples happened in the transfer from arithmetic to algebra. To advance the understanding in the learning of algebra, we consider the core contents of the algebra learning which should be stressed at the prealgebra stage. Finally we present the teaching units of (pre)algebra which are sequenced from the variable concepts to equations.
