In this research, we investigated the historical development and ways of improvement of the teacher employment test (TET, hereafter) in Korea. This paper consists of three parts. The first part details the secondary science teacher education system in Korea. The second part elaborates upon the development of the TET since 1990's. The third part provides conclusion by addressing ways to improve science teacher education and employment systems in Korea. After all, the keen competition for teacher education and the demanding entry test ensure that secondary science teachers are selected from a pool of candidates with high academic achievement. Korean teacher employment system in general places more weight on subject knowledge. Although we cannot simply conclude that Korean science teachers must have profound knowledge in the subject matter and are competent in pedagogy, it stands to reason that the teachers could be more competent in performing their roles than those of many western countries with an acute shortage of teachers. We also suggested future directions and ways of improvement regarding teacher education and the TET in Korea.

This article presents how in China mainland a school and a school district find their science teachers. Based on studying relevant materials and years of intensive involvement in teacher education and recruitment practices the authors draw three features of the current secondary science teachers' employment system in China mainland: certification control conducted very loosely selection criteria and process vary with schools and school districts due to the remarkable difference existed among them the normal universities/colleges established originally only for secondary science teacher education still play a vital role in shaping effecting quality of teacher candidates although no one of them for a long time have focused on only doing what they were supposed to do. For further development, changes and essential reform are expected duo to the increasing promotion toward the internal quality of education and therefore high quality of teachers and teacher candidates.

본 연구는 수학과 중등학교 교사 임용후보자 선정경쟁시험이 예비 교사의 지식을 어떻게 평가하고 있는지 최근 8년간 시행된 임용시험 1차 180개의 문항을 지식의 영역과 수준의 차원에서 분석한 결과, 분야에 따라 특정 영역과 수준에의 편중성과 평가 외적 내용 요소의 출현 등이 나타나 이로부터 임용시험의 질 개선에의 시사점을 논하였다.

본 연구의 목적은 2013-2024학년도 초등임용시험의 수학과 문항을 분석하여 수학 교과를 가르치기 위해 초등학교 교사에게 요구되는 지식과 그 특징을 파악하고 초등임용시험의 개선 방향을 논의하고자 한다. TEDS-M의 분석틀을 수정 및 보완하여 분석한 결과 MCK와 MPCK의 비율이 해마다 차이가 있었지만 전반적으로 MPCK의 비율이 높았다. MCK와 MPCK는 특정 지식 영역, 인지적 과정, 수준에 편중되는 현상을 보이고 있었고 고등 사고력과 평가 지식을 측정하는 문항이 부족하였다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 다변화하고 있는 사회에서 필요한 교사의 지식과 능력을 평가할 수 있는 초등임용시험의 개선 방향을 제언하였다.

In this study, the current status and the desirable ways for improvement of the examination system for the employment of the environmental education teachers in the secondary school were investigated. For the study, first, problems and reasons, and the counterplan of policy on the teacher connected directly with the examination employing secondary school teachers through exploration of the related literatures were analyzed; second, it was identified that the essential quality which environmental education teachers should have ready; third, the curriculum of environmental education teacher training universities and the seventh environmental curriculum were examined to provide a basis of discussion on the principle of setting questions for the employment of environmental education teachers; fourth, the number of recruitment, the number of examinee, the principle of setting questions, the composition of questions, and the distribution of scores of the examination which were carried out in the school year 2000 and 2001 were compared and analyzed; finally, the basis of the above analyses, recommendations to consider the examination system for the employment of environmental education teachers in the secondary school were presented as follows: first, the team managing the examination for the employment should reflect the aims and special contents of environmental education to discuss and decide the principle of setting questions on the environmental course; second, the proportion of subject matter education in the examination for environmental education teachers should be increased; third, the validity of questions for the examination should be clarified and the difficulty level of the questions should be low.

교사는 교육의 성패를 좌우하는 중요한 요소이다. 따라서 대부분의 국가에서는 적정 수준의 자질과 전문성을 갖춘 교사를 학교 현장에 배치하기 위해서 교사 양성과 자격, 임용에 관한 사항을 제도적으로 규정하고 있다. 한국의 경우에는 법령에 의거 교사 자격증을 취득하고, 임용시험을 거쳐 학교에 배치한다. 반면에 미국의 경우 교사자격을 취득하기 위해서는 주교육부와 교사인증기관에서 Praxis 시험을 요구하고 있다. 한국의 교사 임용시험은 1차, 2차, 3차 시험으로 구성되어 있고, 그 중 1차 시험은 교과 전공 지식을 평가한다. 반면, 미국의 교사자격시험인 Praxis는 I, II, III로 구성되어 있고, 그 중 Praxis II는 교과 지식과 교수-학습에 관한 지식과 기능을 평가한다. 본 연구에는 한국과 미국의 사서교사를 위한 자격, 임용 제도를 고찰하고, 한국과 미국의 객관식 시험 문항을 비교 분석하여 발전방안을 모색하였다.

과학교사 교육의 목표는 우리 사회가 필요로 하는 가장 이상적이고 훌륭한 과학교사를 양성하는데 두고 있으며, 양성 교육과정은 전문적 이론과 실제를 통한 수준 높은 학술적 체험과 활동 과정을 거쳐 '유능한 과학교사'와 동시에 '존경받는 스승'을 양성하는 과정이어야 한다. 따라서 중등학교 과학교사의 양성 체제와 임용 제도의 문제점 및 그 개선 방안은 첫째, 임용시험 제도 폐지와 수습 교사 제도를 도입하거나, 공 사립학교가 공히 공개 임용시험제도를 도입해야 한다. 둘째, 과학교사 양성 교육과정의 개편으로 과학내용학, 과학교육학의 협동적 연구를 강화하고 현장의 요구와 교육과정의 연계를 구현하며 셋째, 교사 양성 기관의 행 재정적 지원 체제를 확립하여 우수 과학교사 양성이 가능하도록 해야 한다.

현행 중등 과학교사 임용시험에 대한 일반적인 사항과 화학영역 문항들이 우수한 화학교사 선발을 위해 적절한가를 알아보기 위해 사범대학의 화학교육과 교수들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 전국 14개 대학 중 13개 대학으로부터 응답을 받았으며, 응답을 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 문제점과 개선책이 제안되었다. 교과교육학과 교과내용학의 현행 비율에 대한 검토가 필요하다. 교과교육학의 평가 기준을 제시하여 전문 지식과 자질을 종합적으로 평가할 수 있어야 한다. 임용시험의 수준은 대학교재 중심이어야 하며 시험시간을 늘려 교과관련 전문지식을 깊이 있게 점검할 수 있어야 한다. 출제위원의 수를 늘리고 적절한 수준의 난이도로 변별력이 뛰어난 교과교육학과 화학 각 분야의 평가문항을 출제해야 한다. 실생활과 접목된 화학문제 해결이나 종합적인 사고 능력을 측정하는 문항, 교육현장에서 필요한 지식과 기술을 측정할 수 있는 문항을 개발하도록 해야 하며, 제 7차 과학교육과정에 제시된 화학 학습목표를 충실히 반영해야 한다. 아울러 임용시험 문항과 관련된 자료들을 분석하고 공개하여 적극적으로 개선책을 모색해야 한다.

본 연구는 확률과 통계의 내용을 올바르게 지도할 수 있는 역량을 갖춘 수학 교사를 선발하기 위한 중등학교 수학교과 임용고사문제 중에서 확률과 통계 영역의 출세 경향을 분석하고, 앞으로의 출제 방향과 수준에 대하여 논의하고자 한다. 동시에 학교 수학 교사들에게 확률과 통계 단원을 지도하기 위해서 갖추어야 할 내용에 대한 일반적인 가이드를 제시하고자 한다. 첫째, 2015년 개정 고시된 교육과정의 수학 교과 중에서 확률과 통계 단원의 편제와 내용체계, 주요 변화 내용을 조사한다. 둘째, 중등교원임용시험에 15년간 출제 된 확률과 통계 단원의 문제들을 분석한다. 셋째, 기존의 출세 문제들이 중등학교의 확률과 통계를 올바르게 교육할 수 있는 자질을 갖춘 교사를 선발할 수 있는지에 대하여 검토한다. 마지막으로, 앞으로의 출제 내용, 범위, 수준, 그리고 방향에 대해서 논의한다. 결론적으로 4차 산업혁명시대를 맞이하여 빅 데이터의 중요성을 감안한다면 자료와 확률에 대한 통계적사고, 탐색적자료분석, 표본조사, 통계적 추론 그리고 공학적 도구의 활용 등의 출제가 더욱 필요하다고 본다.

본 연구의 목적은 2019~2022학년도 중등교사 임용시험 교육학문제의 연도별 핵심어와 그 경향, 핵심어들의 언어네트워크를 분석하여 그 결과를 제시하는 것이다. 주요 연구방법론은 텍스트 마이닝 기법과 언어네트워크 분석방법이었으며, 분석프로그램으로는 KrKwic, Wordcloud Maker, Ucinet6, NetDraw 등이었다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연도별 교육학문제의 상위출현빈도 핵심어는 교사, 학생, 교육과정, 수업, 평가 등의 기존 상위출현빈도 핵심어들이었으며, 최근 코로나 19 상황의 온라인수업 진행을 반영한 핵심어(온라인, 위키, 토의식, 정보 등)들도 추가로 등장하는 경향을 보였다. 4개년도 통합 텍스트에서의 상위출현빈도 핵심어는 학생(44), 교사(39), 수업(27), 학교(18), 교육과정(16), 온라인(10), 토의식(8) 등이었다. 둘째, 4개년도 상위출현빈도 핵심어들의 전체 언어네트워크는 상당한 수준의 밀도(0.566), 총연결수(492), 평균연결정도(16.4)로 분석되었다. 연결정도 중심성은 교사(199.0), 수업(197.0), 학생(185.0), 학교(150.0) 순으로 나타났으며, 매개 중심성은 교사(30.859), 수업(18.956), 학생(16.054), 학교(15.745) 순으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 중등교사 임용시험 수험생인 예비교사, 해당 시험 출제 관리하는 기관과 관련자, 중등학교 예비교사 양성기관의 교수자와 행정가들에게 고려해볼 만한 자료가 되길 기대한다.
