The main principle of radiation therapy is to deliver optimum dose to tumor to increase tumor cure probability while minimizing dose to critical normal structure to reduce complications. RTP system is required for proper dose plan in radiation therapy treatment. The main goal of this research is to develop dose model for photon, electron, and brachytherapy, and to display dose distribution on patient images with optimum process. The main items developed in this research includes: (l) user requirements and quality control; analysis of user requirement in RTP, networking between RTP and relevant equipment, quality control using phantom for clinical application (2) dose model in RTP; photon, electron, brachytherapy, modifying dose model (3) image processing and 3D visualization; 2D image processing, auto contouring, image reconstruction, 3D visualization (4) object modeling and graphic user interface; development of total software structure, step-by-step planning procedure, window design and user-interface. Our final product show strong capability for routine and advance RTP planning.
An off-line programming, OLP, system is widely used in automation fines. To help an on-line robot system to carry out desirable tasks planned by the off-line simulation, an approach to the real-time communication is presented. The OLP system developed consists of a software, a host computer(PC), a SCARA robot body, four servo drivers, and four independent joint controllers. This study focuses on the software where real-time communication is included. The software, can be used in teaching, trajectory planning, real-time running, and performance evaluation. The evaluation of different control algorithms is one of the merits of the software. The software can give servo commands for task running. A comparison of generated and corresponding actual trajectories provides the evaluation of task performance. The safety, of the OLP system is ensured by alarming malfuntions of the system. The OLP system developed can reduce the teaching time and increase the user's convenience.
For Multi-UAV systems, a task allocation could be a key factor to determine the capability to perform a task. In this paper, we proposed a task allocation method based on genetic algorithm for minimizing makespan and satisfying various constraints. To obtain the optimal solution of the task allocation problem, a huge calculation effort is necessary. Therefore, a genetic algorithm-based method could be an alternative to get the answer. Many types of UAVs, tasks, and constraints in real worlds are introduced and considered when tasks are assigned. The proposed method can build the task sequence of each UAV and calculate waiting time before beginning tasks related to constraints. After initial task allocation with a genetic algorithm, waiting time is added to satisfy constraints. Multiple numerical simulation results validated the performance of this mission planning method with minimized makespan.
Emergency operation plans are indispensable elements for effective process safety management especially when unanticipated events occur under extreme situations. In the paper, a synthesis framework is proposed for the integration success path planning and performance analysis. Within the synthesis framework, success path planning is implemented through flow-directed signal tracing, renaming and reconstruction from a complete collection of Minimal Path Sets (MPSs) that are obtained using graph traversal search on GO-FLOW model diagram. The performance of success paths is then evaluated and prioritized according to the task complexity and probability calculation of MPSs for optimum action plans identification. Finally, an Auxiliary Feed Water System of Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR-AFWS) is taken as an example system to demonstrate the flow-directed MPSs search method for success path planning and performance analysis. It is concluded that the synthesis framework is capable of providing procedural guidance for emergency response and safety management with optimal success path planning under extreme situations.

The optimal design of transmission system expansion planning is an important part of the overall planning task of electric power system under competitive electricity market environments. One of main keys of the successful grid expansion planning comes from optimal reliability level/criteria decision, which should be given for constraint in the optimal expansion problem. However, it's very difficult to decide logically the optimal reliability criteria of a transmission system as well as generation system expansion planning in a society. This paper approaches a methodology for deciding the optimal reliability criteria for an optimal transmission system expansion planning. A deterministic reliability criteria, BRR (Bus Reserve Rate) is used in this study. The optimal reliability criteria, BRR/sup */, is decided at minimum cost point of total cost curve which is the sum of the utility cost associated with construction cost and the customer outage cost associated with supply interruptions for load considering bus reserve rate at load buses in long term forecasting. The characteristics and effectiveness of this methodology are illustrated by the case study using IEEE-RTS.
Traditionally, the problems of manufacturing technology and manufacturing management have been treated independently. In this research, we endeavor to integrate the process planning and scheduling activities as an attempt to integrate the two realms. To draw up a plan of process planning and scheduling in real manufacturing environment is not an easy task because available time to plan could be limited and the shop status could change frequently. So we propose an architecture of integrated process planing and scheduling problem within the allowed time even if sheep situations change rather frequently. We argue that we can obtain a better and practical scheduling solution by dynamically changing the processing machines and operations as the shop condition changes. The proposed system takes the initial information for alternative machines and operations represented by an AND/OR graph as its input. Other informational inputs to the system are part order and shop statues. The system then generates new process plan and schedules during permitted time. Experimental results show that the proposed scheme provides a viable solution for real world scheduling problems.

For on-line trajectory planning such as teleoperation it is desirable to keep good manipulability of the robot manipulators since the motion command is not given in advance. To keep good manipulability means the capability of moving any arbitrary directions of task space. An optimization process with different manipulability measures are performed and compared for a redundant robot system moving in 2-dimensional task space, and gives results that the conventional manipulability ellipsoid based on the Jacobian matrix is not good choice as far as the optimal direction of motion is concerned.
This paper purposed that verify the validity of Petri Net method for control progressive increase of system complexity, before extend the realized single robot system to multi-robot system. An autonomous mobile robot(AMR) needs decision making, motion control, path planning, tracking a path, obstacle avoidance, and sensor fusion, to complete its task. An AMR integrates and operates these technics through a consistent command system. An error in a command hierarchy which is like duplication or omission of a control command hierarchy for each module results in serious problems. This paper minimizes the error by modeling each module and whole system using Petri Net graphical representation and applies it to the exploration task of an AMR

The block assembly process takes more than half of the total shipbuilding processes. Therefore, it is very important to have a practically useful block assembly process planning system which can build plans of maximum efficiency with minimum man-hours required. However, the process plans are often not readily executable in the assembly shops due to severe imbalance of workloads. This problem arises because the process planning is done on block by block basis in current practice without paying any attention to the load distribution among the assembly shops. this paper presents the development of an automated hull block assembly process planning system which results in the most effective use of production resources and also produces plans that enable efficient time management. If the load balance of assembly shops is to be considered at the time of process planning, the task becomes complicated because of the increased computational complexity. To solve this problem, a new approach is adopted in this research in which the load balancing function and process planning function are iterated alternately providing to each other contexts for subsequent improvement. The result of case study with the data supplied from the shipyard shows that the system developed in this research is very effective and useful.
