Programming learning may help to enhance learners' complex problem solving abilities. However, it may cause excessive cognitive loads for learners. Therefore, selection of programming tools and design of teaching and learning strategies to minimize the learners' cognitive loads and to maximize the learning effects. A task centered Scratch programming learning program was developed to enhance problem solving abilities of middle school students. And then, we implemented the developed program in middle school programming classes and analysed the educational effects of the developed program. We found that the developed program was helpful in enhancing learners' problem solving abilities, especially in the element of 'troubleshooting', which explains ability of error detecting and correcting.
Learning objectives for human and society-centered basic medical education to improve physicians' ability to practice in a Korean context were developed by the Korean Association of Medical Colleges in 2015-2016. The task-force committee identified eight domains for medical practitioners: human illness, reflection and self-improvement, patient safety, communication and collaboration, medical ethics, legal issues, social accountability, and professionalism. A total of 172 enabling learning outcomes and 42 terminal learning outcomes were identified by the workshop. The workshop members were representatives from 41 medical schools, the Korean Medical Association, and a scientific group (medical ethics, legal issues, and medical communication). The curriculum for "medical humanity and social medicine" was first published in 2007. The human and society-centered learning objectives that were developed will be revised annually.
Recently environmental problem becomes such a big issue all over the world that the necessity and importance of the environmental education in school has been simultaneously emphasized. While diverse methods for the environmental education have been researched, this paper, especially focused on a teaching-learning model called GBS (Goal-based scenario), aims to provide a new learner-centered approach for the environmental education. For this purpose, this paper first briefly presents two theoretical backgrounds of GBS (i.e., constructivism and Schank's dynamic memory theory), which is followed by specific and concrete strategies and methods of how to apply GBS in class for the teacher. GBS(Goal-Based Scenario) is a learner-centered model in which learners are presented with a reality-based scenario (or task or problem) and go through several stages of 'missions' to get to a final solution of the given scenario. GBS, while completely resonant with other constructivist learning models in terms of learner-centered approaches, is distinctive from others, when it supplies more specific, structured guides of learning, called 'missions', to the students throughout the whole learning process. In a words, GBS ought to be recognized as an unique learner-centered model compromising the contradictory concepts of 'learner control' and 'structure and specifics' in learning environments still without any damage of constructivist learning principles.
The purpose of this study was to improve and verify task value and academic self-efficacy of university students with metaverse gamification teaching method combining flipped learning and project-based learning. The subjects in this study were 16 university students majoring in counseling psychology who engaged in K university in cheong-ju. The subjects were assigned to the experimental group or the comparison group. The experimental group received the proposed metaverse gamification teaching method combining flipped learning and project-based learning while comparison group received teacher-centered learning. The dependent variables in this study were task value and academic self-efficacy. Each variable was assessed before class, after the end of the class. At the end of the class, the experimental group engaged statistically significantly higher levels of task value and academic self-efficacy than the comparison group. The findings of this study suggest that this metaverse gamification teaching method combining flipped learning and project-based learning is effective at improving task value and academic self-efficacy.
Purpose - The purpose of this study is to conduct a monitoring study on the learning process of e-learning contents. This study has two research objectives. First, by conducting monitoring research on the learning process, we aim to explore the implications for content development that reflects future student needs. Second, we want to collect empirical basic data on the estimation of appropriate amount of learning. Research design, data, and methodology - This study is a case study of learner's learning process in e-learning. After completion of the study, an in-depth interview was made after conducting a test to measure the total amount of cognitive load and the level of engagement that occurred during the learning process. The tool used to measure cognitive load is NASA-TLX, a subjective cognitive load measurement method. In the monitoring process, we observe external phenomena such as page movement and mouse movement path, and identify cognitive activities such as Think-Aloud technique. Results - In the total of three research subjects, the two courses showed excess learning time compared to the learning time, and one course showed less learning time than the learning time. This gives the following implications for content development. First, it is necessary to consider the importance of selecting the target and contents level according to the level of the subject. Second, it is necessary to design the learner participation activity that meets the learning goal level and to calculate the appropriate time accordingly. Third, it is necessary to design appropriate learning support strategy according to the learning task. This should be considered in designing lessons. Fourth, it is necessary to revitalize contents design centered on learning activities such as simulation. Conclusions - The implications of the examination system are as follows. First, it can be confirmed that there is difficulty in calculating the amount of learning centered on learning time and securing objective objectivity. Second, it can be seen that there are various variables affecting the actual learning time in addition to the content amount. Third, there is a need for reviewing the system of examination of learning amount centered on 'learning time'.

The purpose of this study is to analyze activities of mentally retarded students studying science within inclusive classes from the aspect of activity sharing to investigate ways of improving their involvement in the tasks. For this study, three mentally retarded students and their peer group in inclusive classes were observed and videotaped for 12 science class sessions about forces and waves. There were many cases in which task involvement of mentally retarded students changed according to three degrees of their activity sharing: well-synchronized, delayed and estranged. When degrees of activity sharing were estranged or delayed, task involvement of the mentally retarded students faded from activeness to passiveness. When the degree of activity sharing was well-synchronized, the mentally retarded students showed interest in learning and were able to participate in science class more actively. Different patterns of activity sharing of mentally retarded students between teacher-centered activities and student-centered activities were observed. In most cases of teacher-centered activities, the monotonous pace could deprive the mentally retarded students of their chance to catch up. As a result, their delayed degrees of activity sharing were faded into estranged degrees. In many cases of student-centered activities, various pacing according to the groups or students could provide mentally retarded students with a chance to catch up, so they could be well-synchronized. In one case of teacher-centered activity, the mentally retarded students were well-synchronized with the teacher's repeated explanations and well-matched illustrations on the blackboard and textbooks. In some cases of student-centered activities, students were well-synchronized with positive relations with and appropriate intervention by other students. In conclusion, various approaches to encourage activity sharing of mentally retarded students with normal ones should be pursued to improve task involvement and academic achievement of mentally retarded students.
The case of four classrooms analyzed in this study point to many commonalities in the challenges of reforming mathematics teaching in Korea and the U. S. In both national contexts we have seen the need fur a clear distinction between implementing new student-centered social practices in the classroom, and providing significant new loaming opportunities for students. In particular, there is an important need to distinguish between attending to the social practices of the classroom and attending to students conceptual development within those social practices. In both countries, teachers in the less successful student-centered classes tended to abdicate responsibility fur sense making to the students. They were more inclined to attend to the literal statements of their students without analyzing their conceptual understanding (Episodes KA5 and UP 2). This is easy to do when the rhetoric of reform emphasizes student-centered social practices without sufficient attention to psychological correlates of those social practices. The more successful teachers tended to monitor the understanding of the students and to take proactive measures to ensure the development of that understanding (Episodes KO5 and UN3). This suggests the usefulness of constructivism as a model (or successful student-centered instruction. As Simon(1995) observed, constructivist teachers envision a hypothetical learning trajectory that constitutes their plan and expectation for students learning from the particular if the trajectory is being followed. If not, the teacher adjusts or supplements the task to obtain a more satisfactory result, or reconsider her or his assumptions concerning the hypothetical learning trajectory. In this way, the teacher acts proactively to try to ensure that students are progressing in their understanding in particular ways. Thus the more successful student-centered teacher of this study can be seen as constructivist in their orientation to student conceptual development, in comparison to the less successful student-centered teachers. It is encumbant on the authors of reform in Korea and the U. S. to make sure that reform is not trivialized, or evaluated only on the surface of classroom practices. The commonalities of the two reform endeavores suggest that Korea and the U. S. have much to share with each other in the challenges of reforming mathematics teaching for the new millennium.
In this paper, the multiple micro robot soccer playing system is introduced at first. Learning and evolving in artificial agents is a difficult problem, but on the other hand a challenging task. In our laboratory, this soccer studies mainly centered on single agent learning problem. The construction of such experimental system has involved lots of kinds of challenges such as robot designing, vision processing, motion controlling. At last we will give some results showing that the proposed approach is feasible to guide the design of common agents system.

The present education situations are rapidly changing to adapt to 'the Knowledge & Information-based Society'. Especially, the implementation of 'the 7th National Curriculum' put strong emphasis on the learner-centered education that refers to the ability grouping. Therefore, it is necessary that the change from a traditional teaching method to a learner-centered one in geography education will take place. This study will present a design of geography ability grouping through the Task-Solving Learning. This ability grouping method is suitable for the large class. And this study also presents a strategy by applying WBI, which make use of the advantage of computer and constructivism. This WBI model can be applied properly to many teaching-learning methods that includes Self-Directed Learning, Collaborate Learning, Ability Grouping, and Applying ICT Instruction. Actually they are demanded in the current education. A geography-classroom will have an accessible internet program as a precondition for this instruction.
Evolving in artificial agent is an extremely difficult problem, but on the other hand, a challenging task. At present the studies mainly centered on single agent learning problem. In our case, we use simulated soccer to investigate multi-agent cooperative learning. Consider the fundamental differences in learning mechanism, existing reinforcement learning algorithms can be roughly classified into two types-that based on evaluation functions and that of searching policy space directly. Genetic Programming developed from Genetic Algorithms is one of the most well known approaches belonging to the latter. In this paper, we give detailed algorithm description as well as data construction that are necessary for learning single agent strategies at first. In following step moreover, we will extend developed methods into multiple robot domains. game. We investigate and contrast two different methods-simple team learning and sub-group loaming and conclude the paper with some experimental results.
