The paper focuses on Device-to-device (D2D) Architectures evaluation frameworks. D2D communication and discovery can improve spectrum usage efficiency and optimize the tradeoffs between throughput and energy consumption. The target operation modes involve both indirect communication between two nodes via a base station or the direct communication among proximal nodes, enabling use cases that can support communications out of cellular coverage, as well as low end-end delay requirements. The paper will present the architectural evolution of D2D networks within 3GPP standardization and will highlight key network functionalities and signaling protocols. It will also identify key analytical and simulation models that can be used to assess the performance and energy efficiency of resource allocation strategies, and it will present a suitable cross-layer integrated framework.

In this paper, a wide-range microphone system for lectures using dual 3D sensors is proposed. A previous work using a single sensor had lowering the detecting threshold to support wide-area. However it was found that an error occurred when lecturer wears clothes with low reflectivity or has small body size. When multiple sensors are used to expand the coverage it could be cause various problems. Each sensor could show different distance to the same target. We derive the rotation angle and and compensate for lecturing microphone system using sensors on the line. The proposed method shows a little improvement in performance by about 1dB compared to the previous works but the performance is uniform in all areas regardless of reflectivity.

In camera sensor networks (CSNs), in order to better identify the point, full-view problem requires capture any facing direction of target (point or intruder), and its coverage prediction and sensor density issues are more complicated. At present, a lot of research supposes that a large number of homogeneous camera sensors are randomly distributed in a bounded square monitoring region to obtain full-view rate which is close to 1. In this paper, we deduce the sensor density prediction model in heterogeneous deployed CSNs with arbitrary full-view rate. Aiming to reduce the influence of boundary effect, we introduce the concepts of expanded monitoring region and maximum detection area. Besides, in order to verify the performance of the proposed sensor density model, we carried out different scenarios in simulation experiments to verify the theoretical results. The simulation results indicate that the proposed model can effectively predict the sensor density with arbitrary full-view rate.

CT scans obtained on 15 patients of head and neck malignant tumors were evaluated for their utility in ratiotherapy treatment planning. To evaluate the advantage of incorporating CT scans in radiotherapy treatment planning of head and neck malignant tumors, the dose distributions of treatment plan with and without CT scan were compared in 15 patients. And then the dose distributions of the first and second treatment plan were compared. 1. Tumor extend and localization were clearly delineated on CT scan in 12 of 15 cases (80%), suggestive in 2 (13.3%), and not seen in only one (6.7%) which had been in the postoperative state. 2. Tumor coverage after CT scan was adequate in 14 of 15 cases (93.3%) and not in only one. In one case of inadequate tumor coverage the target volume lay inside the field but reached within 0.5cm of the field margin (marginal miss). 3. The volume of normal tissue irradiated was reduced after CT scan in 12 of 15 cases (80%), increased in 1 (6.7%) and not changed in 2 (13.3%). 4. We could maximize the local control of disease and minimize unnecessary morbidity by delineating the location and extent of tumor and normal tissue with CT for treatment plannings.

The present study investigates heat/mass transfer for flow through perforated plates for application to combustor wall and turbine blade film cooling. The experiments are conducted for hole length to diameter ratios of 0.68 to 1.5, for hole pitch-to-diameter ratios of 1.5 and 3.0, for gap distance between two parallel perforated plates of 1 to 3 hole diameters, and for Reynolds numbers of 60 to 13, 700. Local heat/mass transfer coefficients near and inside the cooling holes are obtained using a naphthalene sublimation technique. Detailed knowledge of the local transfer coefficients is essential to analyze thermal stress in turbine components. The results indicate that the heat/mass transfer coefficients inside the hole surface vary significantly due to flow separation and reattachment. The transfer coefficient near the reattachment point is about four and half times that for a fully developed circular tube flow. The heat/mass transfer coefficient on the leeward surface has the same order as that on the windward surface because of a strong recirculation flow between neighboring jets from the array of holes. For flow through two perforated plate layers, the transfer coefficients on the target surface (windward surface of the second wall) affected by the gap spacing are approximately three to four times higher than that with a single layer.

Objectives: Immunization is considered one of the most successful and cost-effective public health interventions protecting communities from preventable infectious diseases. The Korean government set up a dedicated workforce for national immunization in 2003, and since then has made strides in improving vaccination coverage across the nation. However, some groups remain relatively vulnerable and require intervention, and it is necessary to address unmet needs to prevent outbreaks of communicable diseases. This study was conducted to characterize persistent challenges to vaccination. Methods: The study adopted a qualitative method in accordance with the Consolidated Criteria for Reporting Qualitative Research checklist. Three focus group interviews were conducted with 15 professionals in charge of vaccination-related duties. The interviews were conducted according to a semi-structured guideline, and thematic analysis was carried out. Data saturation was confirmed when the researchers agreed that no more new codes could be found. Results: A total of 4 main topics and 11 subtopics were introduced regarding barriers to vaccination. The main topics were vaccine hesitancy, personal circumstances, lack of information, and misclassification. Among them, vaccine hesitancy was confirmed to be the most significant factor impeding vaccination. It was also found that the factors hindering vaccination had changed over time and disproportionately affected certain groups. Conclusions: The study identified ongoing unmet needs and barriers to vaccination despite the accomplishments of the National Immunization Program. The results have implications for establishing tailored interventions that target context- and group-specific barriers to improve timely and complete vaccination coverage.
A web application is implemented by reusing the library provided by framework and has hierarchical architecture. Also, to deal with the user request from a screen, the web application has an execution flow, called 'Business Logic', which starts with a screen, executes its composed component and comes back to the screen via database. To test web application effectively, it should reflect the characteristics of web application. In this paper we propose to test web applications via user screens with the black-box testing approach and verify its source codes with the web interface white-box test coverage that covers all the business logics of the test target and their corresponding interfaces. We analyze the proposing testing method through its tool: Testopiacov.
A village appraisal is a study of the village, carried out by the people who live there as a basis for influencing its future. It is an exciting opportunity for a village to take a good look at itself, and it is a project in which everyone can be involved. It involves gathering factual information and the opinions of local people, so as to build up an overall picture of the village. An appraisal is a questionnaire survey carried out by and for the local community. It aims to identify local characteristics, problems, needs, threats, strengths and opportunities. It is a means of taking stock of the community and of creating a sound foundation of awareness and understanding on which to base future community action. Over the past 30 years more than 2,000 village appraisals have been undertaken in rural Britain. This research examined 48 village appraisals which had been carried out in England between 1985 and 1999. The suggested strengths and weaknesses of the village appraisals are: the target of the whole population in an area; the wide-ranging in its coverage of issues; well linked to a county-wide support agency; a good tool for identifying needs and wants, and local priorities; a good tool of local democracy and of increasing self-confidence in individuals and the whole community; not an exhaustive survey; very labour intensive; too little coverage of issues relating to the local economy; the lack of any input by professional planners and so forth.

Background: The public health care system of a country is shaped and driven by its historical background as well as social, economic, and cultural structures. This study sheds light on the unique features, strengths, and weaknesses of the health insurance systems of South Korea (Korea) and Peru. Methods: The capacity mapping tool was used to explore the Korean and Peruvian population and geographical structures; health insurance laws, regulations, and policies; payment systems; eligibility and contribution collection; and long-term care insurance. Results: The study found that the Korean government took the lead in integrating multiple insurers into a single-payer system in an effort to reinforce and stabilize its health insurance system in 2000. Peru has been developed mixed model such based on taxes and contributions, to address a gap between different social classes. Peruvian government developed a two-axis system, one for low-income earners, financed by taxes, and another financed by contributions paid by workers and government officials in the formal sector. Peru has introduced many variations to its fee payment and insurer systems, target population, and coverage scope, and maintains its health insurance system accordingly to this day. Conclusion: The current study provides observation of the Health Insurance System in two different countries and helps to understand possible ways to improve the health insurance system in both countries. Based on this study, Peru will be able to see how its system differs from Korea's and benefit from the related policy implications.

The purpose of this study is to look at the case of the German compensation system for farmers' accidents and to build a basic scheme in our country's compensation system for farmers' accidents. When you view examples of Germany, the social insurance scheme for farmers accidents in korea should be design as an independent institution from the existing industrial accident insurance, and it comes to relationships with other social insurance system, preferably with complementary personalities. A general rule of the compensation system applies to all farmers in principle but the coverage limits part-time farmers. Financial burden consists of the mix of insurance premium and state aid. The type and level of benefits is similar to the current industrial accident insurance, which give priority to places on economic security for keeping farmworks, such as cost for using temporary farmers, rather than income loss. In terms of financial system, pay-as-you-go system would be better because of immediate payment with the introduction of the compensation system. The compensation system might be managed and administrated by the existing nationwide organization. Of course, for operating of system review and further research on the technical details such as premium issues and funding problems of government support, the exact classification of the target coverage, premiums based on estimated income for the farmers' estimation, the exact statistical data on the accumulation of agricultural disaster is needed.
