The simulation of target-scattered echo with the moving sonar platform and target in 3-dimensional ocean environment is essential to validate and evaluate the performance of a sonar system. This paper presents the improved target signal simulation on the basis of the highlight(HL) model and its realtime algorithm. In order to simulate the scattering highlight, the highlight is represented as a directional scatterer. The realtime generation algorithm of the target signal is realized by use of DSP chip, TMS320C40, where the 40 channels are equally separated to form a parallel processing task in 4 processors. The presented realtime-version of target signal simulation can be used as a target signal simulator in the development of ACM(Acoustic Counter Measure) and advanced sonar signal processing techniques.

The target localization using the line arrays buried in the seabed is a difficult problem due to the complex sea bottom characteristics and need to compensate the wave propagation effect to localize the target accurately Sound speed mismatch in the seabed causes a bias in the target bearing estimation and induces the localization error. In this paper we describe a target localization method with improved accuracy of target bearing and localization by calibration the sound speed in the seabed. The proposed algorithm is verified through the ocean data.

In this paper, we have proposed a novel method which can compose a reflected signal of the underwater target. The synthesis of the reflected signal in the target, the synthesized signal being similar to the characteristics of the reflected signal in the real target, is used the highlight model at the specific points of the target. We suggest the synthesis method of the reflected signal of the target using the pulsewidth variation and each other doppler effect at the highlight point, and compare the composed signal by the proposed method with that by conventional one. Simulation results show that the composed signal using the proposed method and the reflected signal of the real target is similar to the spectral characteristics.

This paper presents a multiple target tracking system using Normalized Rayleigh likelihood of amplitude information of target. Although many studies of Radar systems using amplitude information have been studied, they are focused on single target tracking. This paper proposes the multiple target tracking using amplitude information as well as kinematic information from Radar sensor. The amplitude information are applied in generating the association probability of joint probabilistic data association(JPDA) algorithm through the normalized Rayleigh likelihood. It is verified that the proposed system can enhance the track maintenance and tracking accuracy, especially, in the target crossing case.

The cosine law of emission을 이용하여 계산 하였다.

The killing activity of antibody activated CD$4^+$T cells was completely blocked by herbimycin A, a protein tyrosine kinase (PTK) inhibitor, but not by bisindolylamaleimide, a protein kinase C (PKC) inhibitor. Herbimycin A treated human or bovine peripheral blood CD$4^+$T cells lacked PTK activity and failed to kill virally infected target cells even after cross-linking of CD4 molecules. The CD$4^+$cross-linking failed to induce effector cell proliferation or the transcription of TNF${\beta}$ Upregulation of TNF${\beta}$ was induced by incubating the antibody activated effector cells with BHV-1 infected D17 target cells for 10 h. Anti-TNF${\beta}$ antibody partially abolished (13-44%) the direct effector cell-mediated antiviral cytotoxicity. However, this antibody neutralized 70 to 100% of antiviral activity of effector and target cell culture supernatants against BHV-1 infected D17 cells. The inhibition level of the antiviral activity by the antibody was dependent on the effector and target cell ratio. These results support the hypothesis that increased p$56^ICK enzyme activity in effector cells transduces a signal critical for effector cell recognition of viral glycoproteins expressed on the target cells. Following target cell recognition, lytic cytokines known to participate in target cell killing were produced. In this paper, the method is discussed such that the robustness of automatic initiated narrowband target tracking is improved in passive sonar. In the case of automatic tracking initiation as target in passive sonar, due to a number of clutter, the clutter is initiated as target and tracked which prohibits the operation capability. The associated probability and information entropy of measurements, extracted from detection data, is calculated to keep going on automatic target initiation and tracking of true target, but reduce the automatic initiation and tracking of clutter. If the association probability and information entropy of the extracted measurements is satisfied for the predefined conditions, the procedure of automatic initiation begins. Using sea-trial data, simulations are executed and the results from the proposed method indicate that it keeps the automatic target initiation and tracking of true target and suppresses the automatic target initiation and tracking of clutters in contrary to the conventional method.
One of the methods to consider the effect of respiratory motion of a tumor target in radiotherapy is to establish a treatment plan with the internal target volume (ITV) created based on an accurate analysis of the target motion displacement. When this method is applied to intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), it is expected to yield a different treatment dose distribution under the motion condition according to the IMRT method. In this study, we prepared ITV-based IMRT plans with conventional IMRT using fixed gantry angle beams, RapidArc using volumetric modulated arc therapy, and tomotherapy using helical therapy. Then, the variation in dose distribution caused by the target motion was analyzed by the dose measurement in the actual motion condition. A delivery quality assurance plan was prepared for the established IMRT plan and the dose distribution in the actual motion condition was measured and analyzed using a two-dimensional diode detector placed on a moving phantom capable of simulating breathing movements. The dose measurement was performed considering only a uniform target shape and motion in the superior-inferior (SI) direction. In this condition, it was confirmed that the error of the dose distribution due to the target motion is minimum in tomotherapy. This is thought to be due to the characteristic of tomotherapy that treats the target sequentially by dividing it into several slices. When the target shape is uniform and the main target motion direction is SI, it is considered that tomotherapy for the ITV-based IMRT method has a characteristic which can reduce the dose difference compared with the plan dose under the target motion condition.

Ecological network can solve the ecological problems such as habitat cutting and fragmentation that are resulted from urbanization. Recently, rooftop biotope construction has been appeared as a usefull method for ecological networking in urban area. The objective of this study is to seek the possibility of rooftop greening introduction as well as to select target species for rooftop greening construction from the urban ecological network point of view. In order to select target species, we monitored two adjacent rooftop greening sites, where we found 22 species of birds and insects and 33 species of plants. We set criteria to select target species through documents research, and gave marks species according to the criteria with the help of specialists. We divided the target species into 5 groups on the basis of the 12 selecting criteria. In those two monitored rooftop greening sites, we did not find any species belong to group A, which is the best target species, but we found species belong to the other groups. Orthetrum albistylum, Sympetrum dawinianum belong to group B, which is the priority target species, 7 species besides Passer montanus, Coccinella axyridis, Agrionidae to group C, which is the possible target species, 6 species besides Atractomorpha lata to group D, which is the potential target species, and the others were found to be inadequate to the target species. We found Orthetrum albistylum, Sympetrum dawi-nianum to be the best appropriate target species in the two sites. According to the result of this study, the method of ecological network construction from the dra-gonfly habitat network point of view through the construction of rooftop habitat is ideal for Orthetrum albistylum, and Sympetrum dawinianum. For successful urban ecological network construction, selection criteria and construction techniqes & methods for rooftop habitat should be developed through future research.
To investigate the optimum x-ray tube design for the dental radiology, factors affecting x-ray beam characteristics such as tungsten target thickness and anode angle were evaluated. Another goal of the study was to addresses the anode heel effect and off-axis spectra for different target angles. MCNPX has been utilized to simulate the diagnostic x-ray tube with the aim of predicting optimum target angle and angular distribution of x-ray intensity around the x-ray target. For simulation of x-ray spectra, MCNPX was run in photon and electron using default values for PHYS:P and PHYS:E cards to enable full electron and photon transport. The x-ray tube consists of an evacuated 1 mm alumina envelope containing a tungsten anode embedded in a copper part. The envelope is encased in lead shield with an opening window. MCNPX simulations were run for x-ray tube potentials of 70 kV. A monoenergetic electron source at the distance of 2 cm from the anode surface was considered. The electron beam diameter was 0.3 mm striking on the focal spot. In this work, the optimum thickness of tungsten target was $3{\mu}m$ for the 70 kV electron potential. To determine the angle with the highest photon intensity per initial electron striking on the target, the x-ray intensity per initial electron was calculated for different tungsten target angles. The optimum anode angle based only on x-ray beam flatness was 35 degree. It should be mentioned that there is a considerable trade-off between anode angle which determines the focal spot size and geometric penumbra. The optimized thickness of a target material was calculated to maximize the x-ray intensity produced from a tungsten target materials for a 70 keV electron energy. Our results also showed that the anode angle has an influencing effect on heel effect and beam intensity across the beam.
