용접선 추적시스템을 적용한 탄뎀 원주 용접시스템 개발 (Development on Tandem GMA Welding System using Seam Tracking System in Pipe Line)

  • In this study to improve the productivity, advantage Tandem circumferential weld process of seam tracking system was applied for the laser vision sensor. Weld geometry scanning laser vision sensor and PLC control unit are used to scan correct positioning of welding torch when the program is implemented so that it can correctly track the welding line. The welding experiment was conducted to evaluate the performance of laser vision seam tracking sensor in tandem welding process. The seam tracking several experiments was to determine the reliability of the system, welding experiments relatively good quality welding bead was confirmed. Furthermore, the PLC program for seam tracking was used to confirm the validity of the application of tandem welding process according to the benefits of increased productivity, which is expected to contribute to national competitiveness.

탄뎀 가스메탈아크 용접의 토치 극간거리에 관한 실험적 연구 (A Experiment Study of Torch Distance on Automated Tandem GMA Welding System)

  • The tandem welding process is one of the most efficient welding processes widely used in material joining technique such as manufacturing of strong and durable structures. It facilitates high rate of joint filling with little increase in the overall rate of heat input due to the simultaneous deposition from two electrode wires. The two electrodes in tandem welding process helps in high-efficiency and high productive of welding process. In this study a automated tandem welding system is developed to determine the correlation between cathode and anode and compared with current ratio of the two electrode torch. Three different inter-electrode distances were chosen, 25mm, 35mm and 45mm to perform the experiment with three different current ratio. From the experiment results, the current ratio between two torch has a large impact on width, height and depth of penetration. In addition, a stable bead geometry is obtained when inter-electrode distance is 35mm.

탠덤 GMAW의 품질확보를 위한 용접이음부위의 성능평가에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Performance Evaluation of the Welded Joint to Maintain the Quality of the Tandem GMAW)

  • 산업의 생산성 향상 및 용접공정의 개선을 위해 용접공정에 탠덤 용접의 적용가능성을 확인하고자 실험을 통한 용접이음부위의 성능평가를 실시하였다. 1전극 용접과 탠덤 용접의 실험을 통해, 비드의 형상을 비교 분석하고, 용접실험의 결과시험편에 대하여 3가지 시험(인장시험, 경도시험, 굽힘시험)을 실시하였다. 또한 결과시험편에 대한 기계적 성질을 분석하여 탠덤 용접이음부위에 대한 성능평가를 수행 하였다. 본 연구는 탐뎀 용접이음부위에 대한 기계적 성질 및 안전강도 보증을 목적으로 하고 있으며, 인장시험, 굽힘시험 및 경도시험을 통해 탠덤 GMAW 의 신뢰성과 효율성을 확인하고자 한다.

Tandem 용접 CO2 보호가스 사용량 감소를 위한 최적 토치 극간거리에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Optimum Tandem Welding Torch Distance for the Reduction of CO2 Shielding Gas Consumption)

  • 지구온난화의 주원인으로서 $CO_2$가스 사용량 증가에 의한 온실효과가 전 세계적인 문제가 되고 있다. 특히, 조선산업 분야에서는 아크용접 시 보호가스로서 막대한 양의 $CO_2$가스가 사용되고 있기 때문에 $CO_2$가스 사용량을 감소시킬 수 있는 용접장비의 개발에 대한 요구가 커지고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 $CO_2$ 보호가스 사용량을 감소시킬 수 있는 토치노즐의 최적형상 설계인자를 검토하기 위한 기초연구로서 Tandem 용접기 토치 극간거리에 따른 $CO_2$ 보호가스 분포에 대해서 CFD해석을 수행하였으며, 극간거리와 아크전류 공급량에 따른 용접성에 대해서도 실험적으로 검토하였다. 토치간 거리에 따라서 가장 효과적인 보호가스층이 존재하며, 최적의 극간거리를 정량적으로 결정함에 의해 $CO_2$ 보호가스의 적정한 사용에 의한 $CO_2$ 가스 사용량을 감소시킬 수 있다.

탄템 GMA 용접공정의 표면비드높이 예측을 위한 STACO모델 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Development of STACO Model to Predict Bead Height in Tandem GMA Welding Process)

  • One of the main challenges of the automatic arc welding process which has been widely used in various constructions such as steel structures, bridges, autos, motorcycles, construction machinery, ships, offshore structures, pressure vessels, and pipelines is to create specific welding knowledge and techniques with high quality and productivity of the production-based industry. Commercially available automated arc welding systems use simple control techniques that focus on linear system models with a small subset of the larger set of welding parameters, thereby limiting the number of applications that can be automated. However, the correlations of welding parameters and bead geometry as welding quality have mostly been linked by a trial and error method to adjust the welding parameters. In addition, the systematic correlation between these parameters have not been identified yet. To solve such problems, a new or modified models to determine the welding parameters for tandem GMA (Gas Metal Arc) welding process is required. In this study, A new predictive model called STACO model, has been proposed. Based on the experimental results, STACO model was developed with the help of a standard statistical package program, MINITAB software and MATLAB software. Cross-comparative analysis has been applied to verify the reliability of the developed model.
