Thirty-six subjects were enrolled in the span of 16 months, out of which six were dropouts. Subjects (age group 20-60 years) with maxillary defects, irrespective of the cause, planned for definite obturator prosthesis, were recruited. The Hindi version of European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer, Head and Neck version 1 of Quality of Life Questionnaire was used before surgical intervention and one month after definitive obturator. Questionnaire includes 35 questions related to the patient's physical health, well being, psychological status, social relation and environmental conditions. The data were processed with statistical package for social science (SPSS). Probability level of P<.05 was considered statistically significant. RESULTS. The quality of life after rehabilitation with obturator prosthesis was 81.48% (${\pm}13.64$) on average. On item-level, maximum mean scores were obtained for items problem with teeth ($1.87{\pm}0.94$), pain in mouth ($1.80{\pm}0.92$), trouble in eating ($1.70{\pm}0.88$), trouble in talking to other people ($1.60{\pm}1.22$), problems in swallowing solid food ($1.57{\pm}1.22$) and bothering appearance ($1.53{\pm}1.04$); while minimum scores were obtained for the items coughing ($1.17{\pm}0.38$), hoarseness of voice ($1.17{\pm}0.53$), painful throat ($1.13{\pm}0.43$), trouble in having social contacts with friends ($1.10{\pm}0.40$) and trouble having physical contacts with family or friends ($1.10{\pm}0.31$). CONCLUSION. Obturator prosthesis is a highly positive and non-invasive approach to improve the quality of life of patients with maxillectomy defects.

  • To understand the structure and dynamics of different forms of learning, whether incidental or conscious, we have to study them as parts or aspects of concrete historical activities with specifiable contexts. This realization is more embodied in apprenticeship learning situations of the student teachers. In this perspective, this paper aims to understand the student teachers' experience on geography teaching as a participant observer in the secondary schools. The 9 student teachers during the teaching internship have written their 38 journals, which was quality analysed to find out key concepts for the purpose of this research. Major conclusions are suggested below as follows. First, the most student teachers were experienced in geography teaching in the secondary schools through the 2-weeks practice teaching. Second, in the positive perspective, student teachers observed on that teachers would teaching well interact with student and experienced teachers would settle down to student's studies. Third, in the negative perspective, student teachers observed on that teachers lecture with only text, and cooperative learning by student presentation in the geography class. Finally, In third person perspective, there is no students' or teachers' productive questions in the whole-class conversation. In addition to that the most mentor teachers lecture do all of the talking in class. In effect these student teachers' experiences, especially 'reality of the geography teaching' and 'practical knowledge of the novice mentor teachers or experienced mentor teachers', either reinforce or modify understanding about the geography teaching practices.

  • This study was initiated with the attention of demanding new and diverse approaches, we're talking familiar with imitations in the design process like a way to draw a image. So I studied a convergence of humanities and visual arts with the understanding and conceptual approach of the formless. The purpose of this study is to develop formless languages and to organize practical courses which are to enable deeper research and design expression on theoretical approaches and explanations of outcomes required before and after the process when we practice in connection with the formless. The method of this study is to draw detailed items from selected words through advanced researches, work and author researches and practice teaching. The results of the study I proposed the formless language that is related to the horizontality in spatial positioning system, and pulse in the separation of space and time, and entropy in structural orders of the system, and base materialism in the limitation of matter as the operating mechanism and parent item of formless. And those elements are related with shape, size, shading, color, texture, space, structure as visual elements of formative elements and those have various adjectival meanings as the subordinate concept. So I presented an education materials of basic design which is to enable understanding and expressing the formless language in the overall process of formless visual art(theoretical approach, practice course, presentation, etc.). Based on these study results, I hope that this educational materials will be used as educational contents that makes them express and understand different new beauties, and a role that reveals social identity, and a reference for research on a formless visual arts.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the records of 8 people with mental disabilities who had participated in Research and Mutual Help of Bethel's House and to investigate the occurrence of mental crisis and process of self-help by using the grounded theory method. As a result of axial coding, the central phenomenon of crisis experience of the people with mental disabilities was derived as 'being overwhelmed by hardships in the life related to their symptoms'. In the self-help process of overcoming the crisis, Action-interaction strategies were derived as 'talking about the hardships', 'researching and practicing with peers', 'participating in various groups', etc. through the intervening conditions such as 'understanding patterns and meanings of hardships led by the person' and 'finding ways to overcome the hardships with the person'. These strategies were analyzed as a process in which the person with mental disabilities leads his/her life reassuming control over his/her crisis. The result of this study shows that it is necessary to expand the political crisis concept in the support system for the mental crisis of people with mental disabilities, and the self-help approach in which the persons participate autonomously can be useful.

  • According to Demand and Capacity Model (DCM), external and internal environments influence the disfluency of children who stutter (CWS). This study investigated the effects of simultaneous changes in motoric and linguistic demands on CWS and children who do not stutter (CWNS). Participants were 4-6 years old CWS and CWNS. A sentence imitation task with changes in speech rate, utterance length, and sentence complexity was used to examine their effects on children's disfluency. When the utterance length changed, CWS showed more disfluency regardless of utterance length and as the speech rate changed, CWS showed more disfluency at fast speech rate than CWNS. When the utterance length and speech rate changed, at fast speech rate, CWS showed more disfluency in both utterances than CWNS. When sentence complexity changed, CWS showed more disfluency than CWNS in complex sentences. Changes in linguistic elements such as speech rate, utterance length, and sentence complexity affect disfluency in CWS, especially when they were exposed to faster, longer, and more complex sentences. This indicates that CWS are vulnerable to fast and complex speech motor control and language processing ability than CWNS. Thus, this study suggests that parents and therapists consider both the speech rate and the utterance length when talking with CWS.

  • The petition movement to Paris peace conference was the movement for 137 Neo-Confucian scholars including Kwak Jong-seok to ask for Korean independence in March, 1919. Kim Bok-han had led all the course of Ho-seo version. Although we don't know the exact contents on the both of Yeong-nam and Ho-seo versions, but Ho-seo version might be more conservative than Yeong-nam version in comparison with other versions. This was because Ho-seo version basically represented the conservative stance of the Neo-Confucian scholars in Ho-seo (Southern Chung-cheong province). However although Ho-seo version had conservative characteristic, the projecting and practicing of petition movement to Paris peace conference shows Kim Bok-han's active attitude. What I would like to explain in this paper is the background of how spontaneously Kim led the movement. Especially I tried to make Kim's historical status be revealed through talking the idealogical history of Neo-Confucianism ignored until now. Although Kim received blames he behaved with barbarians when he led the petition movement from the conservatives, Kim never submitted on those blames. Kim's tolerant attitude was prominent in relation with Hwa-seo school against which Nam-dang school(Kim's party) was a rival, especially from also after 'the problem of Choe Ik-hyeon' in 1903. This attitude was connected to the petition movement in tolerant manner. The tolerant attitude like this was revealed from Kim's historical consciousness attached importance to 'the completion of work'.

For this purpose, we investigated life satisfaction and leisure life for 107 senior citizens at the Gyeonggi Senior Welfare Center, and the following results were obtained. First, it can be seen that overall life satisfaction was relatively lower after Corona than before. Second, in the correlation between leisure activity and life satisfaction, there was no significant correlation between the level of leisure activity and life satisfaction before Corona, and a significant positive correlation was found between the level of leisure activity and life satisfaction after Corona. seemed If alternative measures are proposed according to these results, first, it is necessary to seek ways to improve and manage the environment for the elderly in the with Corona era in the local community. In particular, in order to reduce the adaptation gap among the elderly due to the many changes in digital technology, institutions related to the elderly are providing education on how to use smartphones and kiosks, but it needs to be expanded as a community-wide measure. Second, a systematic system for health care for the elderly in the era of With Corona must be provided. Third, the old-age income security system and support are required so that the minimum living security is guaranteed for the elderly who are experiencing economic difficulties due to the corona virus. Fourth, it is necessary to revitalize programs related to talking to the elderly and counseling for the improvement of relationships and location satisfaction due to social distance and relationship atrophy due to Corona.
