Purpose: The purpose of the study was to examine preventive effects of tailored water drinking on orthostatic hypotension and heart rate variability in the elderly. Methods: A non-equivalent control group pre and post time-series design was adapted. Among a total of 64 elderly people admitted to two nursing homes, 35 elderly were assigned to the experimental group and 29 were assigned to the control group. As for the elderly people in the experimental group, tailed water drink was provided according to the scheduled time for six weeks. Blood pressure and heart rate were measured twice before the intervention in both groups. The data were analyzed with SPSS program using t-test, ${\chi}^2$-test, and repeated measure of ANOVA. Results: There were significant differences in blood pressure and heart rate variability between the two groups. Conclusion: Tailored water drinking had preventive effects on decreasing blood pressure fall as well as prevalence of orthostatic hypotension in the elderly people.
Purpose: The study was to develop a tailored education and coaching program (TECP) for cancer patients, and to identify the effects of TECP on pain severity, daily living impairment, barriers on pain management, self-efficacy, and pain management satisfaction. Methods: A randomized controlled trial was used. Patients referred to an oncology nurse specialist from oncologists for pain management were randomly assigned to TECP (25) or usual education program (UEP, 22). The intervention was offered by educating the method of taking opioid medication, managing opioid-induced side effects, reducing pain misconceptions and enhancing self-efficacy for communicating with a medical team on cancer pain severity, and pain-related impairment. Patients completed questionnaires before the education program and on the next visit 3~4 weeks later. Data were analyzed by SPSS 19.0 program using percentage, frequency, mean, standard deviation, x2 test and independent t-test. Results: At all levels, pain severity improved significantly in the experimental group-worst pain (8.16 to 3.80, p<.001), average pain (6.16 to 2.52 p=.008), and least pain (3.32 to 0.96, p=.038)-but not in the control group. Pain management satisfaction also showed significant differences (t=2.93, p=.005) between experimental (4.70±0.49) and control (4.17±0.73) groups. Interference with daily living, barriers to managing cancer pain, and self-efficacy for managing pain improved in both groups but there were no significant differences. Conclusion: The findings suggest that TECP should be considered for outpatients who need cancer pain management.

BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Easy access to intervention and support for certain behaviors is important for obesity prevention and management. The available technology such as smartphone applications can be used for intervention regarding healthy food choices for obesity prevention and management in elementary-school students. The transtheoretical model (TTM) is comprised of stages and processes of change and can be adopted to tailored education for behavioral change. This study aims to develop TTM-based nutrition contents for mobile applications intended to change eating behaviors related to weight gain in young children. SUBJECTS/METHODS: A synthesized algorithm for tailored nutrition messages was developed according to the intake status of six food groups (vegetables, fruits, sugar-sweetened beverages, fast food and instant food, snacks, and late-night snacks), decision to make dietary behavioral changes, and self-confidence in dietary behavioral changes. The messages in this study were developed from December 2014 to April 2015. After the validity evaluation of the contents through expert consultation, tailored nutrition information messages and educational contents were developed based on the TTM. RESULTS: Based on the TTM, stages of subjects are determined by their current intake status, decision to make dietary behavioral changes, and self-confidence in dietary behavioral changes. Three versions of tailored nutrition messages at each TTM stage were developed so as to not send the same messages for three weeks at most, and visual materials such as figures and tables were developed to provide additional nutritional information. Finally, 3,276 tailored nutrition messages and 60 nutrition contents for applications were developed. CONCLUSIONS: Smartphone applications may be an innovative medium to deliver interventions for eating behavior changes directly to individuals with favorable cost-effectiveness. In addition, using the TTM for tailored nutrition education for healthy eating is an effective approach.

Programming-in-the-Large refers to software development environment and includes the organization and representation of a system structure, module decomposition, component dependence analysis, seperate compilation, subsystem and composition identification. The most intricate problem in this environment is the mastery of the structural complexity of large software systems. Ada programming language is tailored to the needs for building of large, integrated software systems from many program units. The visibility graph generating model presented in this paper transforms Ada source program into a visibility graph with nodes for program units and edges for visibility relations among program units. The system description in terms of program units and their visibility relations produced by this model can be utilized for some apects of Programming-in-the-Large environment and also assists designeers, programmers, integrators and maintainers in defining, understanding and exploring the structure of evolving software systems. The model designed and implemented in Ada programming language runs on PCs and will remain useful both in practice and as experimental tool.
This study aimed to suggest a suitable collar pattern by visually evaluating the appearance of the amount of collar drape by the starting position of the lapel line of a double-breasted tailored jacket using a 3d virtual fitting program. It created an avatar based on the mean size of women in their 20s (the 8th Size Korea) using clo network (double fastening: 10cm, collar width: 4.5cm, collar stand: 3cm, and lapel width: 8.5cm). The starting of the lapel twist line was waistline level, the 1/2 level of bustline and waistline, or bustline level, and collar laying amount was 4.5, 5.5, 6.5, or 7.5cm. It was evaluated by garment construction experts using 5, 6, and 4 items on the front, sides, and back, respectively. Descriptive statistics, F-test, Duncan-test, and reliability analysis were conducted using SPSS 22. When collar laying amount was 6.5cm, it was best rated regardless of the starting point. Under waist line, when collar laying amount was 6.5cm, it was best rated regardless of the starting point. When collar laying amount was large, the collar's outline length increased, resulting in unnecessary wrinkles from the neckline to the lapel, affecting the overall collar appearance. When collar laying amount was the smallest, the collar was lifted and the width was narrowed, exposing the seam connecting the collar and neckline. The length of the collar's outline varied depending on collar laying amount, which was important to make the outline sit comfortably on the body.
The goal of this study was to propose building strategies of web-based national park monitoring system (WNPMS) using geographic information analysis system. To accomplish this study, at first, this study selected and made integrated management indicators considering physical, ecological, and socio-psychological carrying capacity in national park. Secondly, this study built up an integrated management this system with statistical analysis program for execution of various multivariate analysis and spatial analysis. Finally, WNPMS could identify the relationship among visitors, natural resources, and recreation facilities in national park, and forecast the future management status of each national park in Korea. There results of this study will contribute to prevent the damage of natural resources and facilities, improve visitor's satisfaction, prevent an excess of carrying capacity at national park, and established tailored management strategies of each national park.

Due to technological advancements, the data industry is growing, leading to a demand for data professionals in the market. Job seekers interested in data-related positions include not only those with relevant majors but also non-majors. Therefore, this study aims to identify effective educational methods for non-majors lacking data knowledge and skills to develop both data and business competencies. This research focuses on 28 trainees who participated in the "Data Youth Campus" program conducted by K-institution. The program spanned 10 weeks and was structured into three phases: fundamentals, practical training, and projects, systematically enhancing trainees' capabilities. The effectiveness of the curriculum and trainee management was verified by measuring and analyzing improvement of competencies and satisfaction with the program. This study offers valuable insights for the design and implementation of data education programs tailored to non-majors.
Background: Even though cervical cancer poses a significant global cancer burden, successful implementations for early detection offer an opportunity to prevent deaths and reduce the cancer burden. In Korea, cervical cancer is the most prevalent type of cancer among adult women, but it is one of the few cancers in which a consensus-approved screening test exists for early diagnosis, Pap test, that can be combined with highly efficacious treatment regimens for early-stage disease. Purpose: This study was carried out to identify the cognitive-behavioral factors associated with cervical cancer screening behavior among adult women, aged 40 to 59, and to develop tailored messages and to evaluate the effectiveness of stage-matched educational program. Method: A total of 283 women who aged 40 years or older was recruited in Seoul, from September, 1st to November, 14th, 2003. The intervention group (N=162) and the control group (N=121) were selected from five sub-districts in Seocho-gu, Seoul. Building on the TTM, a quasi-experimental study was conducted to test the effectiveness of stages-matched intervention addressed at the five stages of cervical cancer screening behavior. Women in the intervention group were randomly assigned to one of two conditions, internet or postal services. Results: In our results, 88.9% of participants had received a Pap test at least once in their life-time, and 65.4% had got it in the past two years. With regard to cognitive-behavioral factors, the stages-matched educational program increased attitude and process of change for cervical cancer screening. The percentage changed was the largest in maintenance stage. With regard to delivery methods for tailored messages, the print materials were more effective at increasing screening adherence than the e-mail. Whereas the postal service group showed remarkable the change of behavior stage, the internet service group did not. Also it was not shown any difference of the satisfaction with stages-matched educational program between internet and postal service groups. Conclusion: This study suggested that cervical cancer screening behavior could be changed by tailored messages which had developed with cognitive-behavioral factors. The stages-matched educational program was effective to promote the screening adherence for cervical cancer.

Objectives: This study was performed to identify the current barriers of obesity management for children using Community Child Care Centers and their caregivers (parents and teachers working in the Centers). Further, this study explored the possibility of utilizing a mobile phone application for tailored obesity prevention and management programs to overcome the current difficulties associated with children's obesity management. Methods: The qualitative data were collected through in-depth interviews with 20 obese and overweight children or children who wanted to participate in this study using Community Child Care Centers, 12 teachers working at the Centers, and a focus group interview with five parents of children using the Centers. Data were analyzed with a thematic approach categorizing themes and sub-themes based on the transcripts. Results: The current barriers of obesity management of obese and overweight children using Community Child Care Centers were lack of self-directed motivation regarding obesity management (chronic obesity-induced lifestyles and reduced self-confidence due to stigma) and lack of support from households and Community Child Care Centers (latchkey child, inconsistency in dietary guidance between the Center and household, repetitive pressure to eat, and absence of regular nutrition education). Mobile phone applications may have potential to overcome the current barriers by providing handy and interesting obesity management based on visual media (real-time tracking of lifestyles using behavior records and social support using gamification), environmental support (supplementation of parental care and network-based education between the Community Child Care Center and household), and individualized intervention (encouragement of tailored and gradual changes in eating habits and tailored goal setting). It is predicted that the real-time mobile phone program will provide information for improving nutritional knowledge and behavioral skills as well as lead to sustainable children's coping strategies regarding obesity management. In addition, it is expected that environmental factors may be improved by network-based education between the Community Child Care Centers and households using the characteristics of mobile phones, which are free from space and time constraints. Conclusions: The tailored education program for children using Community Child Care Centers based on mobile phones may prevent and reduce childhood obesity by overcoming the current barriers of obesity management for children, providing environmental and individualized support to promote healthy lifestyles and quality of life in the future.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of an integrated health promotion program provided by one community health post by comparing this program with more traditional health promotion programs provided by other institutions. Methods: The participants in this study were 110 selected local residents from I city. Of them, 55 residents participated in the integrated health promotion program in the community health post, and the other 55 participated in a program at another institution. SPSS 21.0 was used for descriptive analysis. Result: Scores for program effects, satisfaction level, quality of life related to health and depression were higher for the integrated health promotion program offered by the community health post compared to health promotion programs of the other institution. The differences were statistically significant. Conclusion: The findings of the study indicate that the integrated health promotion program can be helpful for community health posts in being successful in future plans to meet the needs of residents. Use of this program will also contribute to the development of community health posts but sustained research efforts need to be channeled into these programs.
