노인여성의 신체특징에 따른 치수체계에 관한 연구 (A Study on Sizing System for Elderly Women)

  • The purpose of the study was to develop a size chart for elderly women over 60s. In order to investigate the differences in sine and figure, we measured 28 measurements of the 400 samples in Seoul in 1996. The selected measurements were what required to draft a tailored jacket patterns. At the beginning of the study, we surveyed about the difficulties and complaints on clothing of elderly in general with the samples of customers and suppliers for larger sizes. They preferred a jacket when they go out, and most frequently experienced difficulty was not to be able to find a decent clothing of suitable design and fitting size.'chat is why we concentrated the study on the measurements required for jackets. We analyzed the data as follows. 1. As Korean apparel industry use K.S. sizing system, we decided to use the same measurement to categorize the samples, bust and height. 2. We found out the frequency in the sixte chart and suggests the production sixte for over 60s. 3. We suggested some of the distinct figure related characteristics for better fitting.

  • This study aims at academically organizing fashion coordination methods for interview image-making, which have been attempted through seminars in companies and universities, through empirical studies including previous studies and surveys conducted by groups of experts. The methods of this study include theoretical considerations through literature and empirical considerations such as one-to-one interviews and surveys of groups of experts in the areas of fashion and interview. Through these methods, this study examined elements of image-making characteristics of fashion for an interview, which are required for an interview, by investigating and analyzing interview image-making. As a result of the examination, the characteristics of proper clothes for an interview are as follows; Items of clothes: tailored, tuxedo, Chanel, Eton, blazer jackets, button-down and dress shirts, shirt waist, bow, Gibson blouses, tight, A-line, gored, pleats, flared skirts and straight, boot-cut and ankle pants. Color: achromatic colors including white, gray, black, navy, pink and yellow. Patterns: solid, stripe, and basket check.

Preference and Fitness of Jackets by Body Shape: Focused on the Female University Students

  • This study investigated the jacket preferences and actual fit according to body image perception of female university students in their early twenties, using a survey questionnaire method to analyze areas of dissatisfaction and improvements based on wearing experience. On the relationship between jacket and body image perception, female students with poor body image expressed the highest rate of "not satisfied" with purchase, which was significant. On buying preferences, the "Internet" was the primary place of purchase and "design" of jacket had highest consideration on the decision to buy. "Princess with a cinched - in waist" was the most preferred silhouette, and the most preferred length was "below the hip line." The most preferred cut was "basic," a jacket with a "tailored-collar of notched lapel shape," and "2-buttons." On discomfort and improvement of jacket fitness, students were most dissatisfied with "arm hole." The studies of production of a jacket which fitness and activities is both considered for female university students in their early twenties who use clothes to make them look more like their ideal body image.

  • The purpose of this study was to improve the fitness of Korean manufactured apparel products being exported to China and to provide for the basic data useful to the development of a torso prototypes for the Chinese women. For this purpose, Chinese college women aged between 18 and 24 were sampled to test the fitness of the Korean manufactured apparels for the Chinese women sample and address the problems of unfitness and thereupon. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; As a result of testing the fitness of the Korean manufactured apparels for the Chinese women, it was found that Chinese women felt more or less comfortable for the front of the jackets, but felt less comfortable with their side and back. Such a finding suggests that the Chinese women's postures are more turned back than the Korean women's. And also for the slacks, lack of a crotch length causes unnecessary pulls and creases from the back part to the crotch of a pair of slacks and the side line was not suitably placed. For this reason, the differences between the body shapes of Chinese and Korean women should be thoroughly considered when drawing the patterns to export to China.

남성 의복과 헤어스타일이 전문성 및 선호도 평가에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Men's Clothing and Hairstyle on the Evaluation of Professionalism and Preference)

  • 본 연구는 지각자의 성별, 의복, 헤어스타일이 남성의 전문성 및 선호도의 시각적 평가에 미치는 영향을 조사하는데 그 목적이 있었다. 연구방법은 준실험방법이었으며, 실험설계는 $2\times8\times2$(지각자의 성별$\times$의복$\times$헤어스타일)의 요인설계를 사용하였다. 자극물은 20대 남성의 사진 16장이었다. 의복은 베이지색과 남색의 테일러드 칼라 재킷, 베이지색, 남색, 빨강색의 점퍼와 스웨터였고, 하의는 청바지를 착용하였다. 헤어스타일은 길이에 따라 짧은형과 중간형으로 구분하였다. 조사대상자는 서울지역의 남성 208명과 여성 223명이었다. 청바지와 함께 베이지색 스웨터를 착용하는 것은 지성적 이미지가 높게 보였고, 빨강색 점퍼의 착용은 지성적 이미지가 낮게 보였으며, 베이지색 재킷은 역능적 이미지가 낮게 평가되었다. 남성의 짧은 헤어스타일은 중간형 헤어스타일보다 전문성이 높게 평가되었다. 남자 지각자는 여자보다 짧은 헤어스타일을 더 선호하였으나 여자는 헤어스타일 선호도가 유사하였다. 여자는 테일러드 칼라의 재킷과 수티앵 칼라의 점퍼에 대한 선호도가 유사하였으나 남자는 재킷보다 점퍼의 선호도가 더 높았다. 베이지색 재킷에는 중간형 헤어스타일, 빨강 스웨터에는 짧은 헤어스타일이 전문성이 높게 평가되었다. 남자 지각자는 청바지에 수티앵 칼라의 점퍼를 착용한 것을 청바지에 테일러드 칼라의 재킷을 착용한 것보다 더 긍정적으로 평가함으로써 남자가 여자보다 옷차림에 대해 보수적인 태도를 나타냈다. 또한 청바지 차림에서는 점퍼를 입고 짧은 헤어스타일을 한 남자가 긍정적으로 평가되었고, 재킷을 입고 중간형 헤어스타일을 한 남자는 부정적으로 지각되었다. 결론적으로 베이지색 재킷에는 중간형 머리, 빨강 스웨터에는 짧은형 머리가 전문성이 높게 보였으므로 의복과 헤어스타일이 상호작용하여 전문성 평가에 영향을 준다고 할 수 있다.

패션쇼의 트렌드 반영성(反映性)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) - 실루엣, 디테일, 색상(色相), 패션 이미지 등(等) 4가지 디자인 요소(要素)를 중심(中心)으로 - (A Study on the Reflective Property of Trends in Fashion Shows - Focused on Three Designing Factor of the Silhouette, the Detail, the Color and the Fashion Image -)

  • This paper is intended to compare and analyze the fashion trends that were introduced in the recent shows, held abroad and in Korea, so as to investigate how well the designers in Taegu and Kyungbuk (TK) area are keeping up with the international vogue. The research has done, analyzing Pret-a-Porter in Paris and the three events held in the TK area in 1997 -The Taegu Collection, Kyungbuk Fashion Festival and Textile & Apparel Fair and using reference pictures and documentary records. In order to investigate the trends the research is divided by four groups which are the silhouette, the detail, the color and the Fashion image and has done with the help of three postgraduate students. The results are as follows. 1. The Silhouette The slim-line has the greatest importance in the silhouette analysis of the recent collections. Like Elongated and Fit & Flare, tight-fitting and female-line were also appeared quite a lot. Compared with foreign collection, Korean collections put the bigger importance on the slim-line. 2. The Detail The printings, using paintings and plant-logos had the large portion of the accessories in both foreign and Korean collections. Draw string and wrap style were also presented a lot. Especially, at the Korean collections, layerd, corsage, and craft accent were emphasized, too. As for the necklines the similarity was found over the four events considering. Camisole neckline and halter neck were presented the most, and bared top, Vneckline, boat and low-neck which can highlight the feminity were often appeared as well. Considering collars, tailored and peaked collars which are frequently used for the jackets, were usually shown at the collections. Like convertable, shirts, wing and Italian collar, the collars that can be applied for the sports wears were presented a lot. Virtually no variation of design was found in the sleeve analysis. While set-in-sleeve and sleeveless were found commonly, not so many ornaments were added to the sleeves. The ankle and knee length for the pants and skirts were common. Furthermore, including the micro-mini, showing extremely feminine style the mini-style had the 20% portion of the skirt-length. Unbalanced lengths, using bias-cut were presented quite a lot on the runways. Deep slit skirts, wide pants and irregular hem skirts were in vogue. On the runways of Paris, more than 21% of the design was the burmuda pants. 3. The Color Red and Blue were in vogue in the four collections considering. Sometimes, yellowish was combined in Korean collections. Black and pale tone were appeared to be in fashion also with light grayish, moderate and deep tone. 4. The Fashion image As for the fashion image, feminine-decorative trend amounted to the large percentage in korean collections. At the foreign collection feminine-decorative trend and feminine trend were predominant, then mannish trend and simple trend were apeared equally. The research shows that TK area and foreign collections are fairy similar, which means that the designers in TK area have been making their efforts to satisfy the clients who have the international minds. However, compared with foreign collections, TK collections were apprered to be strongly inclined to only a few trends. Consequently the season trends are not as diverse as the foreign trends, which cannot satisfy the fashion taste of the clients in TK area. The local designers should know the tendency and the taste of the clients and make the more efforts to read local clients' mind.
