한국산 긴꼬리흰가오리과 (Plesiobatididae) 어류 1미기록종, Plesiobatis daviesi (New Record of the Deepwater Stingray Plesiobatis daviesi from Korea)

  • 매가오리목, 긴꼬리흰가오리과 (신칭)에 속하는 Plesiobatis daviesi 1개체 (체반장 700 mm)가 2010년 10월 11일 제주도 동북쪽 연안 (해구번호 110)에서 저인망에 처음으로 채집되었다. 이 종은 5쌍의 아가미 구멍이 있는 점, 꼬리에 1~3개의 가시가 있는 점, 주둥이가 긴 점, 꼬리지느러미가 긴 점, 그리고 코 끝에 커튼 모양의 주름이 있는 점이 특징이다. 그리고 형태적으로 흰가오리와 유사하지만, 흰가오리보다 꼬리지느러미 길이와 주둥이 길이가 상대적으로 긴 특징을 갖는다. 이 미기록종의 과명과 속명 그리고 종명은 "긴꼬리흰가오리과", "긴꼬리흰가오리속" 그리고 "긴꼬리흰가오리"로 각각 제안한다.

실내수조에서 사육한 참조기 배발생 및 자치어의 형태 (Embryonic Developmen Larvae and Juveniles of the Small Yellow Croaker (Larimichthys polyactis) Reared in Aquarium)

  • On 11 June 1991, eggs from the brood stock of small yellow croaker (Larimichthys polyactis) were artificially fertilized using the standard dry method and were hatched. Each of the fertilized eggs (1.1-1.2 mm in diameter) had an oil globule and was transparent and buoyant. The fertilized eggs hatched in a range of water temperatures $(17.5-20.3^{\circ}C)$ 44 hrs after fertilization. The total lengths of the newly hatched larvae were 3.1-3.3 mm, and these hatchlings had 31 myotomes (10+21). Melanophores and yellow-brown chromatophores were concentrated on the head, at the ventral part of the yolk, and in the middle of the tail. Four days after hatching, the larvae completely absorbed the yolk and became flexions of 5.1-5.5 mm in total length. Fifteen days after hatching, one spine (the anterior tip of the maxillary) appeared in the upper jaw and three spines developed at the upper parts of the eyes and on the posterior part of the head. At this stage, the larvae were approximately 8.3 mm long. Thirty-nine days after hatching, juveniles (1.9-3.4 mm in total length) had a pointed tail fin. By 66 days after hatching, the juvenile fish (about 4.0-6.5 mm in total length) were similar to adult fish in body shape. The larvae of L. polyactis could be distinguished from those of L. croacea by two distinct characteristics: the large number of vertebrae (28-29), and a relatively small bony ridge on the occipital region of the head.

물가자미 (Eopsetta grigorjewi)의 정자변태 및 정자 미세구조 (Spermiogenesis and Spermatozoal Ultrastructure of the Roundnose Flounder, Eopsetta grigorjewi (Teleostei: Pleuronectidae))

  • 물가자미의 정자변태과정과 정자의 미세구조를 주사전자현미경과 투과전자현미경으로 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 정자변태과정동안 염색질은 과립형태에서 구상으로 점차 응축하여 성숙 정자의 두부에서는 치밀하고 균질하게 된다. 물가자미 정자변태과정 동안 나타나는 특징은 세포질에서 골지체의 소실, 미세섬유의 출현, 미토콘드리아 수의 감소, 용해소체의 출현이다. 이 과정에서 미세섬유는 정자의 형태형성에 관여하며, 골지체의 소실과 미토콘드리아수의 감소는 용해소체의 작용에 의한 것이다. 정자는 두부와 미부로 구성되며, 무첨체형이다. 두부 후방에서는 cytoplasmic collar가 관찰되었으며, cytoplasmic collar는 7개의 미토콘드리아를 가진다. 미부에서는 잘 발달된 axonemal lateral fin을 관찰할 수 있다. 미부 편모축사의 횡단면은 "9+2"의 미세소관 구조를 나타내며, 세포질내에 많은 수의 공포를 가진다.

Morphological and molecular characteristics of Paralecithodendrium longiforme (Digenea: Lecithodendriidae) adults and cercariae from Chinese pipistrelle bats and viviparid snails in Thailand

  • This study aimed to describe the morphological and molecular characteristics of Paralecithodendrium longiforme (Digenea: Lecithodendriidae) adults and cercariae isolated in Thailand. Adult flukes were isolated from the Chinese pipistrelle bat (Hypsugo sp.), and cercariae were detected in the viviparid snail (Filopaludina martensi martensi) from Chiang Mai province. The morphological characteristics were observed and described using conventional methods, and the molecular characteristics with internal transcribed spacer 2 (ITS2) and 28S rDNA gene sequences. The adult flukes were fusiform, 0.84-0.98 mm in length, and 0.37-0.49 mm in width, and were distinguishable from other species by the presence of longitudinal uterine coils. The cercariae were nonvirgulate xiphidiocercariae, with the oral sucker bigger than the acetabulum, the tail without fin fold, a body size of 117.5-138.3×48.3-52.2 ㎛, and a tail size of 100.7-103.7×15.0-18.9 ㎛. Molecular studies revealed that the adults and cercariae shared 99.3% (ITS2) and 99.6% (28S rDNA) homology with each other. They were phylogenetically close to P. longiforme with an identity of 94.5% for ITS2 and 98.7% for 28S rDNA. This study provides new information on the natural definitive host and first intermediate host of P. longiforme in Thailand. The discovery of its cercarial stage in Filopaludina snails highlights the importance of monitoring the associated second intermediate host and prevention and control of this potentially zoonotic trematode.

대농갱이 Leiocassis ussuriensis 정자의 미세구조와 계통적 고찰 (경골어류, 메기목, 동자개과) (The Ultrastructure of Spermatozoa of the Ussurian Bullhead, Leiocassis ussuriensis (Teleostei, Siluriformes, Bagridae) with Phylogenetic Considerations)

  • 대농갱이 정자의 미세구조를 투과 및 주사전자현미경을 이용하여 관찰하였다. 대농갱이의 정자는 그 길이가 68.8 ${\mu}$m로서 구형의 핵, 짧은 중편 및 하나의 편모로 구성되어 있었다. 정자의 미세구조적 특징을 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 핵와는 핵의 기부에서 약 2/3 깊이까지 함입되어 있으며 그 내부에 기부중심립과 말단부 중심립을 포함하고 있었다. 두 중심립 사이의 각도는 약 180$^{\circ}$를 이루고 있었다. 미토콘드리아는 그 수가 약 10개 정도로 두 층의 배열을 하고 있었다. 축사는 9+2의 미세소관 구조를 하며 디네인 내완만이 관찰되었는데 이러한 양상은 동자개과의 다른 종에서만 나타나고 있어서 동자개과의 특징으로 보여진다. 두 개의 axonemal fins는 중심미세소관의 축과 같은 방향으로 돌출되어 있었다. 두 개의 axonemal fin를 가지고 디네인 외완이 소실되어있는 대농갱이 정자의 이러한 구조적 특징은 동자개과에서는 공유형질로 나타나며 또한 깊이 함입된 핵와의 특징은 메기목 전체에서 공유형질로 나타난다. Axonemal fins는 메기목의 동자개과와 퉁가리과에서는 관찰되는 반면에 메기과와 챤넬동자개과에서는 이러한 구조가 보고되지 않았다. 잉어목과 Characiformes에서도 이러한 구조가 관찰되지 않아서 Ostariophysi내에서 이 구조는 파생형질로 사료된다.

학공치의 난발생과 부화자어 (Eggs Development ana Larvae of the Horn Fish, Hemiramphus sajori TEMMINCK et SCHLEGEL)

  • 1983년 4월 13일 경상남도 남해군 삼동면 지족리앞 창선해협에 설치된 죽방염정치어장에서 성숙한 학공치를 채집하여 현장에서 인공수정시켜, 실험실로 옮겨와 실내에서 난발생과정과 부화자어를 관찰한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 난은 구형이며 침성난으로 동물극부근에 $4{\sim}6$개, 식물극부근에 1개의 부속계가 있으며, 난경은 $1.80{\sim}2.00mm$이고, 많은 소유구를 가진다. 사육수온은 $13.5^{\circ}C{\sim}20.0^{\circ}C$ 범위에서 수정후 약376시간만에 첫 부화를 하였다. 부화직후의 자어는 전장이 $7.40{\sim}8.00mm$(평균, 7.68mm)이며 근절수는 $40+16{\sim}17=56{\sim}57$. 꼬리지느러미에 8개의 지느러미 원기가 생긴다. 부화후 3일째의 자어는 전장이 $8.95{\sim}9.40mm$이며 brine shrimp유생을 먹기 시작한다. 부화후 4일째의 전장 $9.00{\sim}9.65mm$의 자어는 난황을 완전히 흡수한다. 부화후 14일째의 전장 13.25mm의 자어는 아래턱이 조금 돌출되며 가슴지느러미에 4개, 등지느러미에 14개, 뒷지느러미에 13개의 지느러미줄기가 나타난다.

카드뮴이 양서류의 체축 형성에 미치는 독성 효과 (Toxic Effect of Cadmium on the Amphibian Axis Formation)

  • Effect of cadmium on the early amphibian development was analyzed through FETAX (Frog Embryo Teratogenesis Assay: Xenopus). Embryos manifested concentration-dependent mortality and realformations; shortage of anterior-posterior axis gut realformation, ocular anomalies, bent notochord, misshapen dorsal fin, and derreal blisters. The treatment with 1.5ppm cadmium solution caused 100% mortality and concentration of lppm did not kill the embryos that caused 100% anomaly. The teratogenic index (TI = LC50 /EC50) was 2.8 indicating that $CdCl_2$ is teratogenic for Xenopus laevis. Embryos that were pulsetreated with at early to late blastula stage (St. 3-9) and mid to late blastula stage (St. 6-10) showed relatively strong resistance to cadmium, but the embryos treated at gastrula stage (St. 10-13) showed high mortality. And the embryos treated at tailbud stage (after St. 25) showed highest mortality of any other early stages. Effects of temperature were studied through pulse- treatment during gastrula stage at $20^{\circ}C$ and $30^{\circ}C$. The embryos treated with 7.5ppm at $30^{\circ}C$ and 15ppm at $20^{\circ}C$ caused 100% mortality respectively, indicating that higher temperature had more severe toxic effect. One of the most peculiar effect of cadmium at gastrulation was distortion of the tail. The probable cause of toxic effect of Cd was discussed.

STT(Skid-to-Turn)미사일의 매개변수화 어파인 모델링 및 제어 (New Parametric Affine Modeling and Control for Skid-to-Turn Missiles)

  • This paper presents a new practical autopilot design approach to acceleration control for tail-controlled STT(Skid-to-Turn) missiles. The approach is novel in that the proposed parametric affine missile model adopts acceleration as th controlled output and considers the couplings between the forces as well as the moments and control fin deflections. The aerodynamic coefficients in the proposed model are expressed in a closed form with fittable parameters over the whole operating range. The parameters are fitted from aerodynamic coefficient look-up tables by the function approximation technique which is based on the combination of local parametric models through curve fitting using the corresponding influence functions. In this paper in order to employ the results of parametric affine modeling in the autopilot controller design we derived a parametric affine missile model and designed a feedback linearizing controller for the obtained model. Stability analysis for the overall closed loop sys-tem is provided considering the uncertainties arising from approximation errors. the validity of the proposed modeling and control approach is demonstrated through simulations for an STT missile.

볼락 (Sebastes inermis)의 정자형성과정에 관한 미세구조적 연구 (Ultrastructural Study on Spermatogenesis of Rockfish, Sebastes inermis (Pisces: Scorpaenidae))

  • The internal ultrastructural changes of germ cells and external morphology of spermatozoon during the spermatogenesis in the rockfish, Sebastes inermis were studied using transmission and scanning electron microscope. The testis is seminiferous tubule type in internal structure. Seminiferous tubule consist of many cyst which contain numerous germ cells in same developmental stage. Spermatogonium contained a large nucleus with single nucleolus in interphase. Primary spermatocyte identified by the presence of synaptonemal complex in nucleus and the contained a number of mitochondria, endoplasmic reticula and Golgi bodies in cytoplasm. The nucleoplasm of secondary spermatocyte was more concentrated than that of the previous phase. Spermatids were more condensed in nucleus and cytoplasm, and show the long-spherical shape. In the cytoplasm of spermatid mitochondria located to lower portion of the nucleus and Golgi bodies located to upper portion, but proacrosomal granule is not appeared. The spermatozoon consist of the head and tail. No acrosome could be found in the head. The cytoplasmic collar of posterior part in sperm head contained mitochondria which surrounded axial filament. The well developed axonemal lateral fins were identified in sperm flagellum, and the axial filament of the flagellum consist of nine pairs of peripheral microtubules and one pair of central microtubules.

생체모방형 물고기 로봇 '익투스'의 동적 해석을 위한 DOE를 이용한 입력파라미터 최적화 (Optimization of Input Parameters by Using DOE for Dynamic Analysis of Bio-inspired Robotic Fish 'Ichthus')

  • Recently, there is a rising interest on studying bio-inspired robotic fish because of real fish's great maneuverability and high energy efficiency. However, the researches about the robotic fish have not been done so much and there are still lots of problems to use them in the real environment such as in the river. This paper describes a bio-inspired robotic fish 'Ichthus' which is developed in KITECH and has 3 DOF propulsive mechanism. We develop the dynamic motion equation of 'Ichthus' in the underwater environment and analyze response characteristics of 'Ichthus' according to the input parameters of tail fin's amplitude and oscillation frequency. Then we propose control parameters at the various velocities. These parameters are useful to increase energy efficiency and it can be used when the fish robot moves in the real environment, for example, we can propose proper amplitude and oscillation frequency when the fish robot passes through the narrow space between obstacles.
