In global shipping logistics, it is important for users to keep track of the location of their continuously moving cargos. Analyzing the GPS data stream coming from the tag which is attached to the cargo, we are able to keep track of the cargo location in terms of going into or out of a certain logistics area using the information of the spatial relationship change between the tag and the logistics area. In this paper, we propose a simulation system for measuring the precision and false alarm rate of the cargo location tracking algorithm which generates spatial events over the global logistics areas. Due to the difficulty of experiment with a real tag, we developed a tag emulator to create a virtual tag which operates exactly like a real tag. We show the cargo location tracking system works correctly with the tag emulator which communicates with it using the same protocol as the real tag.
Recently, location based service(LBS) expended based on personal specialized service, however since commercialized GPS based emergency rescue service comes with shadow zone for GPS signal such as inside building, the accuracy and reliability are not guaranteed. Therefore to improve such problem, we propose an active location detecting algorithm using RFID-TAG and Yagiantenna. To track the location of RFID-TAG where signal is generated, location tracking device in which Yagi-Antenna is installed moves around. Since directed wave and reflected wave co-exist during signal reception, final signal generated location is searched by setting up multiple of locations where signal can be generated on the map and moving location tracking device along minimum length of path. The algorithm proposed in this paper was verified of its technical validity through simulator.
LBS has many issues of wireless sensor networks and mobile communication parts. Location tracking or location sensing will be the opening of ubiquitous society's a big challenge and the beginning of infinite ubiquitous society's a chance. The purpose of this paper is study of sensing rate per reader antenna's placement and tag location and placement using RFID as location reference point with many advantages for location detection.

In this paper, we introduce a system that tracks and shares the position of objects based on tags. After receiving the location information of objects through the tag location tracking app, the location of the tag is shared as a group, and the shared users also check the location of objects in real time. Our system offer a differentiated function that allows multiple users to manage and supervise the location of objects, compared to legacy systems. The GPS module and Bluetooth are connected to the Arduino board to obtain the location information of the tag and check it through the Android app. We used Android Studio to create app, and the tag brings up the location of the object. The location of the tag is stored in the phpMyadmin DB and the latitude/longitude is received to the Android app and displayed on the map of the app. The proposed system will be useful for loss prevention and managing public goods.
This paper proposed to recognize and tracking the ID and location when a person and objects moved from indoor using RFID a type of passive tag. An antenna was installed in both sides of a door due to the limitation of a recognition distance. And frequency bandwidth was used to the 134.2kHz bandwidth to pass and bend several obstacles. Because a type of passive tag is a semi -permanent and miniaturization, it has applied to this paper.

This project would discuss how to improve the limit and enhance the accuracy and confidence and the improved algorithm path searching engine module shelter's interference limit on spot searching and analysing by using real time path finding technology and USB memo교 RF which is fused to a Tag(u-Card).
The location awareness is an important part of many ubiquitous computing systems, but a perfect location system does not exist yet in spite of many researches. Among various location tracking systems, we choose the RFID system due to its wide applications. However, the sensed RSSI signal is too sensitive to the direction of a RFID reader antenna, the orientation of a RFID tag, the human interference, and the propagation media situation. So, the existing location tracking method in spite of using the particle filter is not working well. To overcome this shortcoming, we suggest a robust location tracking method with a double layered structure, where the first layer coarsely estimates a tag's location in the block level using a regression technique or the SVM classifier and the second layer precisely computes the tag's location, velocity and direction using the particle filter technique. Its layered structure improves the location tracking performance by restricting the moving degree of hidden variables. Many extensive experiments show that the proposed location tracking method is so precise and robust to be a good choice for implementing the location estimation of a person or an object in the ubiquitous computing. We also validate the usefulness of the proposed location tracking method by implementing it for a real-time people monitoring system in a noisy and complicate workplace.

Location tracking system through GPS and Wi-Fi is available at no additional cost in an environment of IEEE 802.11-based wireless network. It is useful for many applications in outdoor environment. However, a previous systems used for general device to tag. It is unsuitable for power aware location tracking system because general devices is more expensive and non-optimized for tracking. The hand-off method of IEEE 802.11 standard is not enough considering power consumption. This thesis analyzes the previous location tracking systems and proposes power aware system. First, we designed and implemented tag to optimize location tracking. Next, we propose low-power hand-off method and low-power behavior model in implemented tag. The proposed hand-off method resolve power problem by using the location information and behavior model minimize power consumption of tag through power-saving mode and the concept of duty cycle. To evaluating proposed methods and system performance, we perform simulations and experiments in real environment. And then, we calculate tag's power consumption based on the actual measured current consumption of each operation. In a simulation result, the proposed behavior model and hand-off method reduced about 98%, 59% than the standard's hand-off and default behavior model.
In this paper, we analysed RSS characteristics by external factors and presented an efficient algorithm for real-time location tracking and its hardware system. The proposed algorithm enhanced the ranging accuracy using Kalman Filter based on the RSS DB. The location tracking system that consists of the tag, AP(Access Point), a data collector(Data Receiver) with IEEE 802.15.4(ZigBee) network environment, and location tracking application that reveal locations of each tag is implemented for the test environment. The location tracking system presented in this paper is implemented with MSP430 microprocessor manufactured by TI(Texas Instrument), CC2420 RF chipset and the location tracking application. With the results of the experiment, the proposed algorithm and the system can achieve the efficiency and the accuracy of location tracking with the average error of 19.12cm, and its standard deviation of 5.31cm in outdoor circumstance. Also, the experimental result shows that exact tracking of position in indoor circumstance cannot achieve because of vulnerable RSS with external circumstance.

Previous RFID technique, it is recognizable without the physical contact between the reader and the tag, causes the serious privacy infringement such as excessive information exposure and user's location information tracking due to the wireless characteristics. Especially the information security problem of read only tag is solved by physical method. In this paper, we propose a low-cost mutual authentication protocol which is adopted to read-only tag and secure to several attacks using XOR and Partial ID. The proposed protocol is secure against reply attacking, eavesdropping, spoofing attacking and location tracking.
