指標植物을 이용한 大氣汚染度 調査硏究 -대전시를 중심으로- (A Study on the Air Pollution Level in Tae Jon Area by Botanical Indicator)

  • Air pollution has been one of the severe problems in city area. Sulfur dioxide is the major pollutant among the air pollutants. And the lichen as a botanical indicator have been used to predict the air pollution level. This study was carried out to evaluate the air pollution level in Taejon area through the field survey which were checked lichen status and sulfur dioxide content in the atmosphere. The results were as follows 1. The average sulfur dioxide content in Taejon area was 0.031ppm. The comparison of measurement methods were regression equation, Y= 0.357$\times$+0.014 and correlation factor, r = 0.771. 2. The maximum point of the SO$_2$ level was site No. 2(Daehwa-Dong), 0.087 ppm and the minimum, site No. 8 (Doma 2-Dong), 0.009ppm. 3. Total amounts of sulfur dioxide yearly emitted from Taejon area by fuel consumption estimated 29829.6 tons. 4. The relationship between degree of lichen and sulfur dioxide contents were 0.000~0.020ppm : Zone No. 2 0.020~0.060ppm : Zone No. 1 over 0.060ppm : Zone No. 0

Production of Lyopilized Culture of Lactobacillus acidophilus with Preserving Cell Viability

  • Optimal lyophilization process was developed for manufacturing the dried product of Lactobacillus acidophilus with high cell viability. Three major factors, freezing rate, specific surface area of samples, and stabilizer type and their synergy were shown to play a crucial role in the development of an effective lyophilization process. Finally we found an optimal combination among three process parameters mentioned above; an exceptionally high cell survival percentage of 90% was achieved using the 8.28 cm-1 specific surface area of samples, slow freezing rate, and a stabilizer composition of 4% skim milk +1% glycerol +0.1% calcium chloride.

대전지역 저소득층의거주자 특성에 따른 주거 환경 평가 (The Evaluation of Residential Environment on the Characteristics of Low-Income Families, Taejon)

  • The objectives of this study were : 1) to investigate the socio-demographic and housing characteristics, 2) to evaluate the present conditions of residential environment, 3) and to analysis the differences of residential environmental evaluation according to the characteristics of low-income families. Questionnaire survey method were used in this study. questionnaire were administrated by 264 household of low-income families in Taejon area. Data were analyzed by SPSS PC computer package. The statistics were frequencies, percentage, t-test, F-test and Ducan's multiple range test. The major findings were as follows; low income families evaluated all of their residential environment at lower, especially the worst of all was the comfortable environment outdoor. there were significant differences in evaluation of residential environment according to the housing characteristics of low income families. The results of this study can be used as basic information for housing p;an and policy for low income families in Taejon area.

공단지역 및 청정지역 식물 잎권의 잎표면세균 및 내산성세균의 분포 (Distribution of Epiphytic Bacteria and Acid-Tolerant Bacteria on the Phyllosphere in the Industrial and Clean Areas)

  • 산성강하물의 영향을 받는 대전공단지역과 영향을 받지 않는 청정지역인 대전 계족산 자연휴양림에서 자라는 밤나무(Castanea crenata)의 잎표면에서 서식하는 총세균수, 생존세균수, 종속영양세균수, 내산성세균수를 1996년 8월부터 1997년 8월까지 5회에 걸쳐 조사하였다. 공단지역 잎표면 평균 총세균수, 생존세균수 및 종속영양세균수는 각각 $9.9{\times}10^5cell/cm^2$, $1.6{\times}10^6cell/cm^2$, $7.1{\times}10^3cfu/cm^2$로서 청정지역에 비하여 각각 1.5배, 2배, 2.6배 정도로 관찰되었다. MPN법으로 측정한 pH 5.6에서의 잎표면 내산성세균수는 공단지역 $3.3{\times}10^4$, 청정지역 $3.4{\times}10^4MPN/cm^2$로 거의 같았고, pH 4.0에서의 내산성세균수는 공단지역에서 $1.9{\times}10^{-1}MPN/cm^2$인 반면 청정지역세서는 전혀 검출되지 않았다. pH 3.0에서의 내산성 잎표면세균수는 공단지역과 청정지역의 잎권 어느 곳에서도 검출되지 않았다. 한편 계절별 잎포면세균수의 분포는 대체로 잎이 나기 시작하여 크기가 가장 작은 5월에 최대를, 그리고 낙엽이 지는 11월에 최소를 나타내었다. 이런 결과는 공단지역의 대기오염물질의 침적이 주변의 식물 잎표면 세균수를 감소시키지는 않으며, 특히 산성강하물의 영향으로 내산성세균수가 증가함을 보여주고 있다.

Landsat-5 TM과 수치지형데이타를 이용한 도시내 산림의 지형환경 분석 - 대전시를 중심으로 - (Analysis of Topographic Environment for Urban Forest Area in Taejon City Using Landsat - 5 TM and Digital Terrain Elevation Data)

  • 도시의 환경문제가 인구와 시설의 증가에 의해서 점점 더 심각해짐에 따라 도시내 산림을 도시에서 가장 중요한 부분으로 인식하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 대전지역에서 도시내 또는 도시외곽에 위치한 산림을 합리적으로 관리하고 이용하기 위한 기본적 분석 단계로서 산림지역의 지형환경을 Landsat - 5 TM데이타와 수치지형자료를 이용하여 분석하였다. Landsat - 5 TM의 영상자료로부터 산림지역을 추출하였고, 수치지형자료를 이용하여 표고, 경사도, 주경사향의 분포를 분석하였다. 영상자료로부터 추출한 산림지역에서 특히 보문산, 봉산, 갑하산, 식장산과 계족산의 5개 지역을 대상으로 지형환경 분석이 이루어졌다. 대전지역에서 산림지역이 차지하는 면적비율은 55.1%로 도심지역보다 약 5배 많은 며적이다. 전체 산림지역의 표고 분포는 200m 이하가 70.8%이고, 400m 이상은 4.8%이다. 5개 지역에서 계족산은 100~200m 지역의 전체의 45.7%, 보문산은 300m 이하 지역이 92.4%이다. 갑하산과 식장산에서 300m 이상되는 지역은 각각 20.4%와 46.6%이다. 도시내에 위치하고 있는 봉산을 제외하고 모든 지역에서 50% 이상이 경사 20$\circ $ 이상의 급경사지로 구성되어 있다. 특히 식장산에서는 30$\circ $ 이상의 절험지가 35.2%나 분포하고 있다. 식장산과 갑하산은 보문산, 계족산보다 고도, 경사도 변화가 심한 것으로 나타났다.

Policy Management for BGP Routing Convergence Using Inter-AS Relationship

  • The Internet routing instability, or the rapid fluctuation of network reachability information, is an important problem currently facing the Internet engineering community. High levels of network instability can lead to packet loss, increased network latency, and delayed routing convergence. At the extreme, high levels of routing instability can lead to the loss of internal connectivity in wide-area networks. In this paper, we investigate the variation of domain degree and domain count of the inter-domain network over time by using linear regression model in order to analyze the topology variation of inter-domain network. We Also propose an efficient policy management model to reduce the instability in the inter-domain routing system. The proposed model can be used to identify whether a routing policy is adequate to reduce convergence time that is required to return to a normal state when BGP routing instability happens. Experimental analysis shows that the proposed model can be used to set up routing policy in domains for the purpose of minimizing the effects and the propagation of BGP routing instability.

  • The purposes of this study were to investigate problems related to quality of life and to identify residents needs for the university educational program for the community residents. The data were analyzed by using $x^2$-test, F-test and multiple range test. Findings of this study provided some useful implications to develop educational programs for community people. These implications are as follows. In the aspect of home management, the need for education about time management was relatively high and the degree of time conflicts was varied to family size, educational level of house, housewife's employment status and outside work time. In the program area of economic life, education for enhancing ability to cope with unexpected events and impulsive consumption behavior, and education for money management technique and value clarification should be included. There were significant differences in the parents' role difficulties according to mother's age and income. Especially parents' role difficulties were children's social emotional development and educational activity. The major problems in management of clothing and textile products were the change of textile sensation, the poor quality of necessaries, and discoloration. This result suggests that education programs on management of clothing and textiles should be developed. In health and food management it showed that subjects were afraid of cancer, hypertension, cerebral vascular diseases in relation with food habits. Hence program of education for health and good food habits should be developed.
