  • In this paper, we propose a technique to analyze similarity between SQL queries and to assist integrating similar tables. First, the table information was extracted from the SQL queries through the query structure analyzer, and the similarity between the tables was measured using the Jacquard index technique. Then, similar table clusters are generated through hierarchical cluster analysis method and the co-occurence probability of the table used in the query is calculated. The possibility of integrating similar tables is classified by using the possibility of co-occurence of similarity table and table, and classifying them into an integrable cluster, a cluster requiring expert review, and a cluster with low integration possibility. This technique analyzes the SQL query in practice and analyse the possibility of table integration independent of the existing business, so that the existing schema can be effectively reconstructed without interruption of work or additional cost.

  • In this paper. we develop an efficient algorithm which vectorize the table input for mixed document recognition system. It is necessary to separate character and line for recognizing the character in the table. For recognizing table, we have to recognize the character which is blocked by table line and develop the efficient rectorization method for table line. For vectorizing table, we develop several methods. The first method is to extract table line part using 8-dircction chaincodes. The second method is to extract horizontal and vertical lines using histogram of lines. The third one is to extract diagonal lines of table by using the cross points of horizontal and verticallines. Finally we also develop the table vectorization method which finds the regularity characteristics of horizontal and vertical lines composing table, In the paper, we sugest a regularity method for efficient table vectorization.

  • Purpose: Although use of a tilt table is recommended in clinical practice, there are no published guidelines regarding pressure and inclination for tilt table use. The aim of the current study was to assess the changes of pressure on sacrum and buttock according to different inclination of the tilt table in healthy subjects. Methods: Thirty two healthy subjects participated in this study. Subjects were positioned supine on the tilt table and safety straps were secured across the chest, pelvic, and knee with sufficient tension to prevent the subjects from falling. Pressure and peak pressure of sacrum and buttock were measured using pressure mapping system with the tilt table standing at $0^{\circ}$, $15^{\circ}$, $30^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$, $60^{\circ}$, $75^{\circ}$, and $85^{\circ}$ inclination. Results: A significant decrease in the pressure of sacrum and buttock was achieved by increasing tilt table inclination (p<0.05): $0^{\circ}{\sim}15^{\circ}$ (8.16%), $15^{\circ}{\sim}30^{\circ}$ (8.02%), $30^{\circ}{\sim}45^{\circ}$ (11.61%), $45^{\circ}{\sim}60^{\circ}$ (16.18%), $60^{\circ}{\sim}75^{\circ}$ (16%), and $75^{\circ}{\sim}85^{\circ}$ (11.48%). A significant decrease in the peak pressure was achieved by increasing tilt table inclination (p<0.05): $30^{\circ}{\sim}45^{\circ}$ (9.91%), $45^{\circ}{\sim}60^{\circ}$ (19.24%), $60^{\circ}{\sim}75^{\circ}$ (19.93%), and $75^{\circ}{\sim}85^{\circ}$ (11.48%). No significant peak pressure change was observed in $0^{\circ}{\sim}15^{\circ}$, $15^{\circ}{\sim}30^{\circ}$ tilt table inclination (p>0.05). Conclusion: The results of this study showed that the pressure of sacrum and buttock were decreased according to increasing tilt table inclination in healthy subjects. Guidelines are needed in order to optimize patient safety and overall outcome for tilt table standing.

  • This paper describes a new IP address lookup algorithm using a binary search on multiple balanced trees stored in one memory. The proposed scheme has 3 different tables; a range table, a main table, and multiple sub-tables. The range table includes $2^8$ entries of 22 bits wide. Each of the main table and sub-table entries is composed of fields for a prefix, a prefix length, the number of sub-table entries, a sub-table pointer, and a forwarding RAM pointer. Binary searches are performed in the main table and the multiple sub-tables in sequence. Address lookups in our proposed scheme are achieved by memory access times of 11 in average, 1 in minimum, and 24 in maximum using 267 Kbytes of memory for 38.000 prefixes. Hence the forwarding table of the proposed scheme is stored into L2 cache, and the address lookup algorithm is implemented in software running on general purpose processor. Since the proposed scheme only depends on the number of prefixes not the length of prefixes, it is easily scaled to IPv6.

  • For the efficient operation and maintenance( 0 & M), irrigation facilities were graded on the basis of their indices related to the 0 & M condition and the characteristics of reservoirs managed by Farmland Improvement Association(FIA) were examined. The results obtained are summarized as follows : 1. Characteristics of reservoirs include effective storage capacity, irrigation area, basin area, height and length of bank. Each characteristic is scored by the principle component analysis method. Variables which compose one index are categorized on the basis of their unit and each variable is scored so that the score of each unit sums to 100 for each index. 2. The Optimum MAnagement System of Irrigation Facilities(OMASIF) for Pyoungtaek area was developed by connecting general data of the irrigation facilities to image data. The database system is divided into three tables; LookUp Table, Facility Table, and Image Table. Image Table is again divided into five sub-tables, Image Table, Construction Cost Table, Acreage Table, 0 & M Cost Table, and Specification Table. 3. The evaluating criteria for the 0 & M of irrigation facilities can be established using the OMASIF. Irrigation facilities evaluated as poor state by the criteria should be repaired.

  • In Current Standard Tables of Food Composition in Japan (Fifth Revised Edition), standard composition values of food used regularly in Japan are shown by values per 100g of their edible portion, with one value of standard composition per one foodstuff as a rule. In the Explanation (Chapter 1) and Reference Data (Chapter 4) of the original table, the most important matters are mentioned, including the table of the weight change rate by cooking, the table of the outline of the cookery, and the formula of the actual amount of intake nutrition. These are helpful for an understanding of the actual amount of intake nutrition. The formula for the amount of purchase in consideration of the amount of refuse is also shown. Information concerning foodstuffs and composition items in the table as well as important points in the reference column are concurrently written in English. As related studies, the composition tables by values per 100m1 or considered loss, the table or the formula for estimation of the amount of sucrose, and the list of the composition extant rate after cooking, among others, are also provided. Users should understand the original composition table, and then suggest how to utilize it. (J Community Nutrition 5(2) : 65∼71, 2003)

  • Since July 2007, the government has banned the use of the existing non-legal measurement units, and has forced us to use the unified legal measurement. Therefore, the existing clothing size unit also has been changed into centimeter dimensions from inches. However, consumers have been familiar to used to the traditional inches unit. So they have the confusion to directly survey the size table sign for clothing or to contact the employee when purchasing clothing. By the current size table sign the customers can compare the inches unit and centimeters unit, but they are difficult to see it. Therefore, there is necessary to improve the size table sign by the way that can be easy to be found and seen by consumers is given to the clothing corners. In this research, three improved size table signs were developed. And they were evaluated by the consumers in terms of preferences and awareness of them. Eventually, the best size table sign was selected. From this result, if the large-discount mart use the best improved size table sign on behalf of the current one, the problems of existing size table sign will overcome and improve customer satisfaction.

  • This paper describes the design and evaluation procedure of an ultra-precision rotary table for freeform generating machined tools. Design of the thrust and journal hydrostatic bearings and experimental evaluation of the table were performed. To get the compact size and less lost motion direct drive servomotor with ultra precision encoder. From the considered design, following performance were confirmed by experiment. The total stiffness of the prototype rotary table was 483.6 $N/{\mu}m$ and 97.6 $N/{\mu}m$ for axial and radial direction, respectively. Rotational accuracy of the table was investigated by capacitive sensor and reversal measurement technique, and 0.10 ${\mu}m$ radial direction and 0.05 ${\mu}m$ axial direction of the rotational accuracy were confirmed. The micro resolution of the table was also investigated with displacement of capacitive sensor, and $0.5/10000^{\circ}$ of micro resolution was confirmed. Index accuracy of the table was evaluated by the autocollimator and polygon mirror, and the $\pm0.39$ arcsec accuracy and $\pm0.16$ arcsec repeatability of the table were confirmed. Those are under the general requirements of ultra precision rotary tables for freeform generating machined tools.

  • < TABLE > tags in HTML documents are widely used for formatting layout of Web documents as well as for describing genuine tables with relational information. As a prerequisite for information extraction from the Web, this paper presents an efficient method for sophisticated table detection. The proposed method consists of two phases: preprocessing and attribute-value relations extraction. For the preprocessing where genuine or ungenuine tables are filtered out, appropriate rules are devised based on a careful examination of general characteristics of < TABLE > tags. The remaining is detected at the attribute-value relations extraction phase. Specifically, a value area is extracted and checked out whether there is a syntactic coherency Futhermore, the method looks for a semantic coherency between an attribute area and a value area of a table that may be inappropriate for the syntactic coherency checkup. Experimental results with 11,477 < TABLE > tags from 1,393 HTML documents show at the method has performed better compared with previous works, resulting in a precision of 97.54% and a recall of 99.22% in average.
