Television Home Shoppers' Addictive Buying Behavior (TV 홈쇼퍼의 중독구매(中毒購買)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究))

  • The purpose of this study was to examine factors affecting addictive buying behavior. Two hundred seventy-six female college students who have purchased fashion products through TV home shopping were surveyed. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlations, multiple regression were used. As the results, higher addictive buying scores were correlated to higher purchasing experience during childhood, family problem, parent's compulsive buying tendency, and friendship. Based on these results, fashion marketing strategies would be suggested. Multiple regression analysis revealed that parent's compulsive buying tendency and friendship were significantly to related to addictive buying. Based on these results, fashion marketing regarding television home shopping would be suggested.

Purchase Behaviors, Size Combination Suitability & Products Satisfaction for Women's Underwear Sets Sold on TV Home Shopping (TV 홈쇼핑 여성 속옷 세트의 구매행동과 치수 조합 및 품질만족도)

  • This study examined size combination suitability of the underwear sets in home shopping and discussed the degree of consumer satisfaction as well as purchase criteria and evaluation after purchase of women's underwear. The survey was conducted from 1st to 15th September 2010 on a total of 300 women aged between 20 to 50, living in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do region who had bought women's underwear through home shopping. The completed data, 245 out of 300, was used for the final analysis. The analysis conducted in the study with SPSS statistics package includes frequency analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, chi-square analysis, $t$-test, ANOVA and Duncan's Multiple Range test. Evaluation items on purchase criteria and evaluation after purchase were processed with factor analysis. The results of the present study showed that product differentiation strategies are required based on age in order to improve consumer satisfaction and repurchase intention in home shopping underwear. Moreover, most of underwear products sold in sets in home shopping are provided based on the brassiere size. As a result, women who do not fit into the home shopping underwear size combination may be less satisfied. When consumers choose their own brassier and briefs size or combinations of various brassier and briefs sizes, it would increase consumer satisfaction.

  • Purpose: We examine the impact of Customization of TV Home Shopping Mobile Applications on Service Quality and Customer Loyalty. Methods: We collect data by using survey and proposed relationships between latent variables using Structural Equations Modeling. Results: We find that Customization of TV Home Shopping Mobile Applications positively affect Service Quality and Customer Loyalty. In addition, service quality work as a mediate variable between Customization with Customer Loyalty. Conclusion: Our findings explain the significant relationships between each variables and hence it is necessary to consider Customization and Service Quality in order to achieve desired goal of enhancing business performance through mobile applications.

  • Direct marketing in the form of Internet Commerce and TV Home Shopping became the focus of concern for Korean companies. Despite the importance of research in these interactive systems, few studies have been performed on the consumer behavior in TV Home Shopping. This study explores what factors consumers perceive critical in these interactive systems, and analyzes the difference in consumer perception with respect to these critical factors.

Effects of determinants of purchasing accommodation products on purchase intention -social commerce and home shopping- (숙박상품 구매자의 구매결정요인이 구매의도에 미치는 영향 -소셜커머스와 홈쇼핑의 비교분석-)

  • This study attempted to find out whether there is a difference between social commerce and TV home shopping in the relationship between the purchasing decision factors and the purchasing intention of accommodation product buyers. A survey was conducted for 20 days from March 7 to March 26, 2022, and 205 copies were used for empirical analysis. As a result of the analysis, the purchasing determinants were divided into four factors: reliability, playability, convenience, and economy. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the purchase determinants influenced the purchase intention in the order of playability, reliability, economy, and convenience, while social commerce had the greatest influence on playfulness and home shopping. Social commerce is considered to be important in terms of persuasion based on the product information provided, and consideration of how lively and enjoyable home shopping creates broadcasting videos.

  • TV home shopping companies are not limited to TV channels and phone-ordering channels, but are making efforts to expand their channels through mobile phones. Beyond its interaction and ubiquity using the web, it is expanding its contact point with consumers through mobile live broadcasting. Interacting, ordering, doing their own broadcasts within mobile App, and interacting and enjoying them are likely to differ depending on consumers' personality, such as playfulness and impulsivity. In this study, the effects of Two-way communication, Synchronicity and Ubiquity, which are the characteristics of mobile home shopping, on consumers' flow, and the effect on consumers' flow on mobile home shopping will vary depending on individual preferences. Interacting, ordering, doing their own broadcasts within mobile devices, and interacting and enjoying them are likely to differ depending on consumers' personal preferences, such as play and impulsive tendencies. As a result of the study, Two-way communication was found to have not significant on flow, and Synchronicity was also found to have no significant effect on flow. It was found that ubiquity had a significant effect on flow. Among the individuality, people with high playfulness have a positive effect on flow, and people with high impulsivity also have a significant effect on flow. Flow has been shown to have a positive effect on the intention to using mobile home shopping.

Apparel Purchasing Behavior of Cable TV Home-Shopping Viewers (케이블TV 홈쇼핑 시청자의 의복 구매행동)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify characteristics and consumer attitude on purchasing apparel of Cable TV home-shopping viewer: A questionnaire was developed to measure watching attributes, consumers' attitude and actual purchasing condition of Cable TV home shopping, and demographic variables. The questionnaire was administered to 277 adult, and the data were analyzed by using frequency; crosstab, t-test, ANOVA. The results of this study were as follows: 1. main view time were 3~5 p.m. 11 p.m, 10~12 a.m. home shopping through Cable Tv. Women's main terms were afternoon, whereas men's main terms were night. Chiefly view program was about apparel and fashion items. The reason why they watched the home-shopping channel was to purchase more cheaper items. 2. Favor about Cable TV home-shopping was relatively affirmative, but purchasing intention through home-shopping was still negative. But affirmative response was gradually increasing a few years ago. 3. Purchasing experience through Cable TV home shopping was 61.0% and clothing purchaser within recently 6 months was 28.5% of total sample. Withspreading Cable TV widely; Cable TV home shopper was gradually increasing. Heavy purchasing items through Cable TV home-shopping were under-wear; muffler, shawl, because those items are standardized in size and style. When home shopping user made purchasing decision, the most significant factors were color; and size (fit), price in order of importance.

  • The purpose of this was to classify consumer groups according to the life styles and analyze buying intention and evaluation criteria of apparel product, opinion to 4p\`s aspect among consumer groups. And it was to clarify relationships between the experience of CATV home shopping and buying intention and evaluation criteria of apparel product, opinion to 4p\`s aspect. The subjects of this study were 270 women living in Chonbuk and Chonnam regardless their experience in CATV home shopping. For data analysis, frequency, percentage, mean, t-test, factor analysis were conducted. The results were as follows; First, the type of life style were classified into the following subdivisions: products confirmed type, price-quality regarded type, time regarded type, new product regarded type. Second, the significant differences among the classified life style groups were found in buying intention, evaluation criteria of apparel product, and opinion to 4p\`s aspect. Third, there were significant differences in buying intention, evaluation criteria of apparel product, and opinion to 4p\`s aspect according to TV home shopping experience.

  • So far the study of digital home has mainly been made up of the network technology and the sorority system, but the application to consider the discriminatory characteristics of the individual family members has been interested in comparison with the necessity. The system proposed in this study is to get the information of the internal users through the access-controlling system. The controller offers the discriminatory environment by activating the database of the internal users and controls the sub-system of the home-network. The suggested system can automatically offer the discriminatory environment among the family members by limiting TV programs or channels according to the users' age, by offering other internet environment according to the users, by putting restrictions on telephone numbers, or by restricting the settling right of the home-shopping companies.
