Emotional Factors in Calligraphic TV Drama Title with CM Super (캘리그래피를 활용한 CM Super된 TV 드라마 타이틀의 감성요소)

  • Recently, the emotional design has become one of the central issues. The interest to Calligraphy also has increased. This study is to examine the effect of calligraphic TV title to viewers through questionnaires. As a result of the questionnaire analysis, calligraphic title makes a favorable impression on viewers. On the other hand, viewers have an antipathy to a drama program with a calligraphic title. The appropriate use of calligraphic title is requested. The viewers prefer that CM Super TV drama title is located to the right side in TV screen. They also prefer the animated moving title to colored background title. This study contributes to the further research about the correlation between TV commercial zap-rate and calligraphic title.

  • In the modern times, video media area is dramatically developing and growing. The motion graphic that is one of video presentation technique as an effective communication way between sender and receiver is beginning to make its appearance. The motion graphic provides the clearance of visual information to deliver it more easily and accurately and improves the effect of communication to increase the effect of image and information delivery. In this research, the writer wants to examine the production method of motion graphic to improve convenience and efficiency of communication to the better direction for production process by researching and analyzing the title design and its structure having short and significant information delivery and strong visual presentation function.

  • In the field of video design, motion graphics tends to be realized to deliver a certain message properly incorporating basic motion graphics components such as space, form of expression, and time, and has continued to be used as a powerful communication tool. Many cases proved that title sequences were produced as a result of combination of a variety of quick images and effects with appropriately chosen sounds to meet the demands of audience. This study indicated that motion graphics began to be widely used as a more powerful video communication tool for title sequences and also applied for M-NET, DMB, CABLE TV, IPTV, and others.

  • 정보검색 기술의 발달과 더불어 검색에 대한 사용자의 요구사항이 다양해지고 있다. 특히, 스마트TV와 같은 장치에서 동영상 콘텐츠를 검색하는데 있어서 콘텐츠의 타이틀과 같은 정형 메타데이터를 이용한 검색뿐만 아니라, 콘텐츠 주제와 같은 비정형 메타데이터를 이용한 검색도 요구되고 있다. 이러한 검색 요구사항을 수용하기 위해서는 주제와 같은 비정형 메타데이터가 구축되어 있어야만 가능하다. 콘텐츠의 주제는 사람의 이해와 분석을 통해서 수작업으로 구축 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 수작업만으로 구축 가능한 콘텐츠의 주제를 기계학습을 기반으로 자동화 할 수 있는 기법을 제안하고, 제안한 기법의 실험을 통하여 타당성을 검증한다.

Visual Attention on Subtitles of CATV Entertainment Program : Focused on tvN (케이블방송 예능프로그램 자막의 시각적 주의 : tvN <꽃보다 할배>를 중심으로)

  • This study has attempted to explore the audience's visual attention about the subtitles types of CATV entertainment program. To achieve this, this research has measured the dwell time and average fixation data through the eye-tracking test and analysed the reason of particular visual attention by in-depth interview. According to the eye-tracking research findings, four types of subtitles(character metaphor, character metonymy, event metaphor, event metonymy) were measured the highest dwell time and average fixation time. Also, according to in-depth interview, visual attention was clearly turned up that event metonymy constructs the conflicts between characters and overstates the trip place romantically. This results means that staffs of intensify the reality and visual pleasure through event metonymic subtitles.

  • In this paper, we simulated disaster broadcast service using terrestrial UHD additional data. We looked at nine functions(warning alarm, location-based information, multilingual, re-viewing the title of breaking news, evacuation knack video, CCTV, clip video, wake up, automatic channel switching) by referring to ATSC 3.0 standards. Analyzing the advantages and problems of the proposed disaster broadcast. Expert interviews were conducted after a demonstration and explanation of terrestrial UHD disaster broadcast. They said that the problems with the technology were difficulty in using, obstruction of viewing, content creation problems, and problems with advertisers. In addition to the lack of simulation-based research, this research has provided an insight into the technology by showing it in a visible way. This helped shape the advantages and problems of technology.

  • After the scientific development of human history, numerous images have been developed and expanded in digital media as a communication tools. Image digital media make communication closer between sender and receptor. The image digital media which has been developed with the change of technology and media transformation have shortened visual information transportation and the time as well by combining the sense of visual and audio. Motion graphic field has been emerged as the type of image digital media development. The development of motion graphic make possible for the expressive effect and dynamic image technique which is impossible by the existing media type. Especially, it is applied to various field such as the title of movie, TV program, and advertise or music video etc. These image expression techniques are stimulating acceptor's emotion to take a role of emotion communication function also. This study aims to find the characteristics motion graphic of which how influence as an effective communication tool as important role to the receptors, and the examine the effect and application of motion graphic to the receptors as a emotion communication tool by case study.
