추낙답(秋落畓) 토양(土壤)에서 생육(生育)한 수도(水滔)에 대(對)한 규회석(珪灰石)의 효과 (The Effect of Wollastonite on Rice Plant Grown on an Akiochi Soil)

  • 1. 추낙답토양(秋落畓土壤)에 생육(生育)한 수도(水稻)는 엽(葉)이 아래로 늘어지나 규산물질(珪酸物質)(규산가리(珪酸加里), 규산질비료(珪酸質肥料) 및 규회석(珪灰石))의 시용(施用)으로 수도(水稻)의 엽(葉)은 현저해 직립(直立)되었다. 2. 정조중(精租重)은 규산물질(珪酸物質)의 시용(施用)으로 증가(增加)하며 규회석(珪灰石)의 비효는 규산질비료(珪酸質肥料)보다 못하지 않았다. 3. 규회석(珪灰石)의 비효는 기비(基肥)로 시용(施用)하는 것이 좋으며 질소(窒素)의 증시효과는 규회석(珪灰石)의 증시(增施)에 의(依)하여 현저하다. 4. 수도(水稻)의 규산함량(珪酸含量)은 규산물질(珪酸物質)의 시용(施用)으로 증가(增加)하며 규산물질중(珪酸物質中)에서도 규회석(珪灰石)의 시용(施用)이 수도(水稻)의 규산함량(珪酸含量)을 가장 많이 증가(增加)시켰다. 수도(水稻)의 규산함량(珪酸含量)은 규회석(珪灰石)을 기비(基肥)로 시용(施用)하는 것이 증가(增加)하며 또 규회석(珪灰石)의 시용량(施用量)의 증가(增加)에 따라 증가(增加)하였다. 한편 수도(水稻)의 철(鐵) 및 질소함량(窒素含量)은 규산물질(珪酸物質)의 시용(施用)으로 감소(減少)되었다. 5. 규산물질(珪酸物質)의 시용(施用)은 엽도열병(葉稻熱病), 수수도열병(穗首稻熱病) 및 호마엽고병(胡麻葉枯病)의 발병(發病)을 저하(低下)시키며 규산물질중(珪酸物質中)에서도 규회석(珪灰石)의 효과가 가장 좋았다. 6. 엽도열병(葉稻熱病)의 이병율(罹病率)은 질소(窒素)의 증시(增施)에 비례(比例)하여 증가(增加)하나 규회석(珪灰石)의 시용(施用)으로 현저히 경감(輕減)되며 이 현상(現象)은 만식재배시(晩植栽培時)에 더 현저하다. 7. 호마엽고병(胡麻葉枯病)의 이병율(罹病率)도 규회석(珪灰石)의 시용량(施用量)이 증가(增加)함에 따라 현저히 경감(輕減)하였다.

석회의 질소원이 버어리종 담배의 수량과 품질에 미치는 영향 II. 잎담배의 화학성분에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Liming and Nitrogen Sources on the Yield and Quality of Burley Tobacco II. Effects of Chemical Constituents of tobacco leaves)

  • 버어리종 담배의 화학성분에 미치는 석회시용양(토양 pH)과 질소원에 따른 효과를 알아보기 위하여 석회시용양은 석회무시용, pH 5.5 교정량, pH6.5 교정량의 3수준으로, 질소원은 연초용복합비료(3.9%의 $NH_4$, -N와 6.1 %의 $NO_3-N$ 함유), $Na-NO_3,\;(NH_2)_2CO,\;(NH_4)_2SO_4$ 의 4종을 두어 포장에서 실험한바, 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 생육기간중의 토양 pH는 석회시용량에 비례하여 높아졌으며, 질소원별로는 칠레초석구가 높았고 유안구가 낮았다. 그러나 토양중 Ca 농도는 석회시용량에 비례하여 높아졌으나, 질소원에 따른 차이는 크지 않았다. 2. 토양중 ${NO_3}^{-}$ 농도는 석회다량구가 높았고, 질소원별로는 칠레초석구가 높았다. 그러나 K와 $P_2-O_{5}$ 농도는 석회시용량이나 질소량에 따라 일관된 경향이 나타나지 않았다. 3. 이식후 75일의 엽중 초산능질소함량은 칠레 초석구가, 45일의 칼슘함량은 석회다량구가 높았다. 그러나 엽중 인산과 가리함양은 석회시용량이나 질소원에 따른 차이 없었다. 4. 석회시용량이나 질소원에 따른 전알칼로이드와 전질소함량 차이는 없었으나, 석회시용량증가에 따라 칠레초석구의 전알칼로이드함량은 증가하였다. 5. 유안구가 건엽의 가리함량은 높았고 칼슘함양은 낮았다. 그러나 석회시용량에 따른 건엽의 인산과 마그네슘함량 차이는 크지 않았다.

우리나라 시설원예(施設園藝) 재배지(栽培地) 토양(土壤) 화학적특성(化學的特性) (Chemical Properties of the Horticultural Soils in the Plastic Film Houses in Korea)

  • 우리나라 시설재배지 토양화학성분 함량을 파악하기 위하여 과채류(果菜類) 350점, 엽채류(葉菜類) 119점, 화분류(花奔類) 44점 계 513점의 토양시료를 전국에서 채취하여 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 시설재배지 표토의 토양화학성분 함량의 평균함량은 pH 6.0, 유기물 35g/kg, 유효인산 1.092mg/kg, 전기 전도도 2.94dS/m이고, 치환성칼리, 석회, 고토함략은 각각 1.27, 6.0, 2.Scmol+/kg이며, 질산태질소 함량은 155.1mg/kg이었다. 작물별로는 엽채류(葉菜類) > 과채류(果菜類) > 화분류(花奔類)재배지 순으로 토양화학성분 함량이 많았다. 심토의 토양화학성분 함량은 pH 6.0, 유기물 27g/kg, 유효인산 761mg/kg, 염농도는 1.83dS/m이고. 치환성칼리, 석회, 고토함량은 각각 0.93. 5.3. 1.7cmol+/kg이며, 질산태질소 함량은 93.4mg/kg으로 pH를 제외하고 대부분의 성분들이 표토보다 낮았다. 토양의 화학성이 작물생육에 적정한 범위보다 낮은토양의 분포비율은 pH 46.4% 유효인산 12.7, 치환성칼리 23.4, 치환성석회 29.8, 치환성고토 27.9%, 유기물은 20.7%이었고, 적정범위보다 많은 토양은 pH 26.8% 유효인산 79.9, 치환성칼리 70.6, 치환성석회 52.4, 치환성고토 53.2, 유기물은 54.8%이었다. 토양화학성분들과 전기전도도와의 상관관계에서 상관계수는 질산태질소> 치환성고토> 치환성칼리> 치환성석회 순으로 감소하였다. 시설 재배지 토양화학성분 함량에서 년차의 경과에 따른 변동은 pH,치환성석회, 치환성고토함량은 변동폭이 크지 않았으나, 유기물, 유효인산, 치환성칼리함량은 점차 높아지는 경향이었다.

Evaluation of Soil Loss with Surface Covering Methods Using Strip Tillage Seeding Device

  • Most fields in highland areas are covered with rye or hairy vetch for conservation during a fallow. However, using cover crops needs an effort to sow, and this makes top soil more vulnerable to loss due to surface disturbances. The aims of this study were to develop an automatic seeding-regulator device using a low-price, extensive-use GPS sensors and a DC motors and to evaluate a working efficiency of it after adaptation to partial tillage machine for reducing seeding effort. The amount of runoff water and soil loss was evaluated with partial tillage and simultaneous-seeding after harvesting soybean, in 17% slope lysimeters. In results, the seeding amount with the machine speed was stable between $0.5{\sim}0.8m\;s^{-1}$ of working sections. The automatic control device of seeding-rate could be enough to solve the slip problems of power selecting supply system or five four-wheel drive device. In partial tillage and simultaneous seeding, runoff water was 11.6% ($1.8m^3ha^{-1}$) of the scatter-seeding control ($15.5m^3ha^{-1}$) and soil loss was 13.2% ($7kg\;ha^{-1}$) of the scatter-seeding control ($53kg\;ha^{-1}$). These results suggest that partial tillage and simultaneous-seeding methods are very effective in decreasing work effort and soil loss of sloped land.

다덕광산 주변 토양에서의 금속 및 시안의 분포와 산성침출수 생성 (Distiribution of Metals and Cyanide in Soils and Acid leachate Occurrence around the Daduck mine)

  • 경북 봉화군에 소재한 폐광산인 다덕광산 광미장 및 인근 농경지를 대상으로 금속성분 및 시안의 분포특성과 광미장을 통과하여 방류하는 산성침출수의 생성원인을 파악하였다. 토양오염 공정 시험법에 의한 분석자료에 의하면 광미장 주변의 논 및 밭에서 As이 농경지 토양오염대책 기준인 15mg/kg을 초과하여 광미의 유입에 의해 토양이 오염되는 것으로 나타났다. 광미중에는 As, Cd, Cu, Pb, Zn 및 5 등이 매우 높게 함유된 것으로 나타났고 특히 산화가 진행된 광미장 지표면 부근의 광미에는 이러한 성분들이 용탈되어 산성침출수가 농수로 방류되고 있다. 따라서 토양오염 및 농수로의 오염의 확산 방지를 위해서는 광산주변에 산재하고 있는 광미 및 광미장에 대한환경오염방지 대책이 필요하다고 판단된다.

경남지방에서 도라지 재배지역별 토양이화학적 특성과 사포닌 함량 (Soil Physico-Chemistry and Saponins Content of Platycodon grandiflorum Radix Cultured from Different Sites in Gyeongnam Province)

  • This study was carried out in order to survey the soil physico-chemical, morphology and content of saponins of 5 year-old Platycodon grandiflorum radix from different areas in Gyeongnam. Soil physical properties was showed 1.01-1.29 of bulk density of soil and soil hardness was increased with increasing soil depth, especially below the 30 cm, however it was maintained or small increased below the 40 cm. T-N and OM contents of top soil were highest at Geochang as 0.27% and 56.9 g/kg, respectively, compared to other areas. The root length was longer at Kimhea and Geochang as 33.8 and 33.7 cm, respectively, and fresh weight was heavy at Geochang as 208.5 g. The contents of saponin of P. grandiflorum radix was higher in fine root compare to main root. By region, content of saponins of P. grandiflorum radix were higher at Hapcheon than other area. Mg content was highly negatively correlated at p < 0.01 with platycodin D3, deapioplatycodin D, platycodin D, and deapioplatycodin D ($-0.499^{**}$, $-0.433^{**}$, $-0.421^{**}$, $-0.511^{**}$ respectively). These results suggest that no-fertilized Mg effected on the improvement of saponin contents in P. grandiflorum.

중부한국의 자연생 소나무의 연 신장성장율에 영향을 미치는 토양요인들에 대한 다요인 분석 (An Analysis of the Relationship of Soil Factors to the Height Growth of Pinus densiflora within the Young Natural Stands in Central Korea)

  • To study on the annual height growth of Pinus densiflora within natural pine stands in central Korea, twenty two pure closed Pinus densiflora stands were selected subjectively in the west-central region of Korea. In each stand twenty trees were chosen randomly. For each tree, abotu ten to fifteen measurements of internodal lengths were made from leader top to trunk base. A total of one hundred thirty four soil samples was collected. Each soil sample was bulked with three subsamples. The ranges of the growth measurements per stand, per tree and per observation were 14.9-35.4cm, 9.0cm-54.4cm and 2.4cm-69.0cm respectively. The total mean value was 23.5cm. The Student-Newman-Keul's tests for the multiple comparison among the mean values of the height growth per stand were very highly significant. The resutls of the analysis of variance of the height growth data for the selected fifteen stands among the twenty two stands indicate that sampling efficiency might be increased to 744% if measurement of the growth were made on fifteen trees per stand from twenty stands instead of twenty trees per stand from fifteen stands. The annual height growths of Pinus densiflora and Pinus koraiensis for the period from 1960 to 1968 were 21.74$\pm$5.29cm (10) and 20.56$\pm$5.59cm (10) respectively. The total means of easily-soluble phosphorus, total nitrogen, loss on ignition and pH for the soil samples were 2.8 ppm, 0.09%, 5.4% and 4.7 respectively. The ranges of those amounts were 18.7-1.7ppm, 0.17-0.05%, 11.6%-3.1%, 3.9-5.1 respectively. The relationship of the annual height growth of P. densiflora to soil was studied in terms of standard partial multiple regression. Among soil properties such as non-capillary pore space, capillary pore space, maximum field capacity, loss on ignition, soil reaction, total nitrogen and easily-soluble phosphoros investigated, the easily soluble phosphorus in one analysis and loss on ignition and soil reaction in the other analysis seem to have significant positive influence on the annual height growth.

Building frame - pile foundation - soil interaction analysis: a parametric study

  • The effect of soil-structure interaction on a single-storey, two-bay space frame resting on a pile group embedded in the cohesive soil (clay) with flexible cap is examined in this paper. For this purpose, a more rational approach is resorted to using the finite element analysis with realistic assumptions. Initially, a 3-D FEA is carried out independently for the frame on the premise of fixed column bases in which members of the superstructure are discretized using the 20-node isoparametric continuum elements. Later, a model is worked out separately for the pile foundation, by using the beam elements, plate elements and spring elements to model the pile, pile cap and soil, respectively. The stiffness obtained for the foundation is used in the interaction analysis of the frame to quantify the effect of soil-structure interaction on the response of the superstructure. In the parametric study using the substructure approach (uncoupled analysis), the effects of pile spacing, pile configuration, and pile diameter of the pile group on the response of superstructure are evaluated. The responses of the superstructure considered include the displacement at top of the frame and moments in the columns. The effect of soil-structure interaction is found to be quite significant for the type of foundation considered in the study. Fair agreement is observed between the results obtained herein using the simplified models for the pile foundation and those existing in the literature based on a complete three dimensional analysis of the building frame - pile foundation - soil system.

Long-term Effects of Chemical Fertilizer and Compost Applications on Yield of Red Pepper and Soil Chemical Properties

  • A field experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of long-term (21-year) fertilizer and compost treatments on the yield of red pepper and chemical properties in top-dong, Suwon. Six treatments were chosen for this work: No fertilization (No fert.), NPK fertilizers (NPK), NPK and compost (NPK+Compost), NP and compost (NP+Compost), NK and compost (NK+Compost), PK and compost (PK+Compost). The yield of red pepper for 21 years indicated the significant differences among the No fertilization, the PK+Compost, and other treatments. The relative yield index was 13% and 59% respectively, for the No fertilization and the PK+Compost if the average yield of red pepper for the NPK regards $20,048kg\;ha^{-1}$ as the yield index with 100%. Soil organic matter at the compost applied treatments significantly increased compared with the No fert. and the NPK. The average increase rates of soil organic matter by applying the compost ranged from 0.69 to $0.73g\;kg^{-1}\;yr^{-1}$. Available phosphate content in soil appeared the significant increase all treatments excluding the No fert. It is estimated that the available phosphate in soil was increased by $7.0mg\;kg^{-1}\;yr^{-1}$ by applying compost and $14.2mg\;kg^{-1}\;yr^{-1}$ by applying P fertilizer. Application of K fertilizer or the compost alone, the NPK, the NP+Compost, continuously caused soil K depletion whereas K fertilization plus the compost maintained at a constant level of exchangeable K. The results indicated that the addition of compost to NPK fertilizer is recommended for the maximum stable yield for red pepper and enhancement of organic matter though it is also needed for adjusting of P and K fertilization.

Soil properties of cultivation sites for mountain-cultivated ginseng at local level

  • Background: Identifying suitable site for growing mountain-cultivated ginseng is a concern for ginseng producers. This study was conducted to evaluate the soil properties of cultivation sites for mountain-cultivated ginseng in Hamyang-gun, which is one of the most well-known areas for mountain-cultivated ginseng in Korea. Methods: The sampling plots from 30 sites were randomly selected on or near the center of the ginseng growing sites in July and August 2009. Soil samples for the soil properties analysis were collected from the top 20 cm at five randomly selected points. Results: Mountain-cultivated ginseng was grown in soils that varied greatly in soil properties on coniferous, mixed, and deciduous broad-leaved stand sites of elevations between > 200mand < 1,000 m. The soil bulk density was higher in Pinus densiflora than in Larix leptolepis stand sites and higher in the < 700-m sites than in > 700-m sites. Soil pH was unaffected by the type of stand sites (pH 4.35-4.55), whereas the high-elevation sites of > 700mwere strongly acidified, with pH 4.19. The organic carbon and total nitrogen content were lower in the P. densiflora stand sites than in the deciduous broad-leaved stand sites. Available phosphorus was low in all of the stand sites. The exchangeable cationwas generally higher in the mixed and low-elevation sites than in the P. densiflora and high-elevation sites, respectively. Conclusion: These results indicate that mountain-cultivated ginseng in Korea is able to grow in very acidic, nutrient-depleted forest soils.
