본 논문은 앞으로 전개될 초고속 통신망이 가지고 있어야 할 서비스 관리 구조에 대해 논 한다. 서비스 관리 구조라 함은 통신망의 고객이 통신망 서비스를 사용할 수 있도록 해주는 통신망 소프트웨어 구조를 칭한다. 현재 서비스 관리는 IN, TMN에서 각각 정의하여 표준화 진행 중이거나 연구 중에 있고, DAVIC에서도 통신망(DAVIC에서는 Delivery System 이라고 함)에서 다루어야 할 서비스 관리의 요구 사항을 작성하였다. 한편 TINA-C에서는 이러한 서비스 관리를 보다 체계적으로 정리하고 있으나 아직 많은 부분의 연구가 필요하다. 한국 통신에서는 초고속 정보통신망(ATM-Highway)을 위한 서비스 관리 구조를 TINA-C의 결과를 기반으로 하여 좀더 체계적으로 정리하여 규격화하고 있다.

For efficiently providing distributed services, distributed computing environments are specified the requirements of various services and distributed object platforms applied an object-oriented technology by TINA Consortium and OMG CORBA. Because applications are becoming large and distributing, their servicing and managing interfaces among objects are being complicated. In order to solve these defects, it is necessary to suggest a new object grouping model and specify object service/management requirements can be introduced under the object groups.

PCS를 포함한 차세대 이동통신은 ATM/B-ISDN을 core network으로 하여 다양한 서비스를 제공하는 방향으로 발전할 것으로 예상된다. 이러한 유.무선 통합환경에서 PCS mobility를 효율적으로 제공하기 위해서 TINA와 같은 계층적 연결관리 구조와 이 구조에 적합한 라우팅 기법이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 ATM/B-ISDNTINA통신망에서 기존의 라우팅 기법에 비해 장점을 가지면서, TINA의 계층적 연결관리 구조를 기바능로 하는 병렬.분산 라우팅 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 병렬.분산 라우팅 기법은 라우팅 알고리즘이 서브네트워트 단위로 병렬적, 계층적으로 실행되어 사용자가 원하는 QoS연결을 제한된 시간내에 빠르게 설정할 수 있으므로, PCS mobility지원을 위한 빈번한 경로 재설정 요구에 유연하게 대처 할수 있다. 또한, 연결관리 체계가 계층적으로 이루어져 있어 TMN/TNA를 통한 체계적인 통신망 관리에도 효율적이다.

Increased network reliability is required as the size of communication network becomes larger and the bandwidth requirement is increasing. And preparing of backup path is required to protect the network from serious network failures in high speed network. In this paper, we construct multiple logical networks on a physical ATM network according to the ATM bearer service category(CBR, rt-VBR, nrt-VBR, ABR, UBR) defined by ATM Forum to support the required QoS(Quality of Service) and to manage the network more efficiently. We use backup path restoration algorithm rather than dynamic restoration to achieve rapid restoration when active path fails and we use fault management function in TINA. We propose a restoration scheme that is suitable for high-speed network.
