Flavor constituents of green tea flower produced in Korea were analyzed by gas chromatography and mass spectrometry. 56 compounds in sample were separated and indentified as 22 hydrocarbons, 14 alcohols, 6 aldehydes, 5 esters, and 9 others. Higher concentrated substances were heneicosyl formate, ${\alpha}$-phenyl ethyl alcohol, and acetophenone. Germacrene D as a sesquiterpene were also identified.

A family of some capability indices { $C_{p}$(.alpha.,.beta.); .alpha..geq.0, .beta..geq.0}, containing the indices $C_{p}$, $C_{{pk}}$, $C_{{pm}}$, and $C_{{pmk}}$, has been defined by Vannman(1993) for the case of two-sided specification interval. By varying the parameters of the family various capability indices with suitable properties are obtained. We derive tha asymptotic distribution of the family { $C_{p}$(.alpha.,.beta.); .alpha..geq.0,.beta..geq.0} under general proper conditions. It is also shown that the bootstrap approximation to the distribution of the estimator $C_{p}$(.alpha., .beta.) is vaild for almost all sample sequences. These asymptotic distributions would be used in constructing some bootstrap confidence intervals.tervals.

This study proposes a new approach to design of the robust control application of a mobile manipulator with dual-arm. The mobil manipulator robot system consists of 12 DOF manipulators and a mobile robot. Kinematics of the robotics has been analyzed and simulated to verify reliability. A position-based torque control technique is applied to the robot by adding an outer loop to interact with the environment. Experimental studies of torque control applications of robot arm and interaction with a user operator are conducted. Experimental results has been proved that the robot arm performed regulated to follow the desired reference.

The statistics of work related Low Back Pains(LBPs) in Korea and outside the countires have erviewed. Despite improved working enviroment with increased automation in industry, the LBPs hve been gradually increased and the workers compensation of such injuries has increased drama- tically. An epidemiological study indicated tha tthe LBPs is te major cause of injury, lost time and medical costs in many industrial workplace especially, a high occurrence rate of LBPs among construction and manufacturing workers. The objective of this study is to investigate problems involved with LBPs in Korea and outside the country for identifying its possible causal factors and characteristics. This study will thus contribute as a basic reference to the industries and ergonomic practitioners for preventing and managing LBPs.

This study is designed to analyze the production, employment, value added and income impacts tha, in the event of designation and development of Haeundae as 'Convention, Movie, Marine Leisure Special Zone', its marine sector would have on the local economy. The realization of marine leisure special zone of Haeundae in Busan is expected to lead to a direct and indirect investment of approx. \13.6 billion, resulting in \68.0 billion in production impact, 850 jobs in employment impact, \28.0 billion in value added impact and \14.5 billion in income impact. This is expected to give a boost to a stagnant local economy, offering opportunities for the revival of Busan's tourist industry.

The state of carrier-free yttrium-90 has been studied by filtration method with membrane filters. The studies include the adsorption ratio of carrier-free yttrium-90 on membrane filters by the change of PH, concentration of yttrium-90, and the pore size of member filters. The adsorption followed to Freundlich adsorption isotherm. The adsorption mechanism was proposed by the adsorption of transient state as an ionic form of $Y^{3+}$, and the experimental results were explained satisfactorily by the proposal. The adsorbed state of yttrium was present in the forms of yttrium such as $Y^{3+},\;Y(OH)^{3+},\;Y(OH)^{2+},\;Y(OH)^+_3,\;and\;Y(OH)_3$,and the existing ratios of the forms of yttrium were sharply changed by PH. It seems to be valid tha the carrier-free yttrium-90 exists mostly in $Y^{3+}$ state.

We studied on the separation of $\alpha$- and $\beta$-chain globins, the conditions of paper electrophoresis and mobility of globins in paper electrophoresis to determine their chain anomaly. Acidic-acetone mothod of Wilson and Smith was found to be more effecient for separating $\alpha$- and $\beta$chain globions than trichloroacetic acid method of Hayashi. The conditions of paper electrophoresis were current of 20v/cm and 0.6mA/cm for three hours at room temperature. In paper electroporesis, the mobility of $\alpha$- -chain globin towards the cathode was greater than that of $\beta$-chain globin. The results showed tha tchain anomaly of $\alpha$- and $\beta$-chain globins can be determined by the method of paper electrophoresis.

In the user-network interface for the parcticing ISDN, an effective phase aligned time compression multiplexing transmission system is designed and analyzed in the 2 wire passive BUS. In TCM, tha average SNR due to crosstalk from adjacent channelis 9.72(dB), and in regarding the phase aligned process, frames are designed to have maximum propagation time of 6(us) so that the connection distance is extended by 0.8(Km). Therefore, the proposed transmission system is suitable for the connection between end-subscriber and network.

3 phase induction motor applied in the method of connecting it directly across the line needs large current when it starts. At that time, leakage magnetic pathes of interior of the motor are severely saturated and leakage reactances are decreased because of saturation. Consequently, increased current and raised powerfactor yield increase of starting torque. The author, noticing those phenomena, derived experimentally the raion of decreasing leakage reactance from the fact that when voltage applied to motor is increased under locked condition the magnitude of current and phase angle are varied, and determined tha equations of starting current and starting torque, considering the decrease of leakage reactance by the large starting current. The author calculated the characteristics of Current-Time and Speed-Time with the determined equation at specific load conditions, and compared the values obtained from above calculations with those from circle diagram's method and the practically recorded values at same load conditions. Therefore, the authos got a confidience that the results of the derived theory coincide with the practically measured values more well than circle diagram's results and circle diagram's equation should be modified in order to analize the starting status of a induction motor.
