Treatment of Refractory Lateral Epicondylitis with Platelet-Rich Plasma (불응성 주관절 외상과염에 대한 혈소판 풍부 혈장 주입 치료의 임상적 결과)

  • Purpose: To evaluate clinical results of a single percutaneous injection of platelet-rich plasma in patients with refractory lateral epicondylitis. Materials and Methods: Between Jan and Dec 2009, fifteen patients (5 male, 10 female) received a diagnosis of lateral epicondylitis of the elbow and were evaluated in this study. Their average age was 43.5 years. All patients were initially given a variety of non-surgical treatments for more than 1year. All patients were considering surgery. These patients were given a single percutaneous injection of 3cc of platelet-rich plasma. To assess pain, we used a visual analogue scale (VAS) at rest and during work & the Patient-Rated Tennis Elbow Evaluation (PRTEE) score. We compared the score before treatment with scores 4 and 12 weeks after treatment. Results: Average VAS scores at rest improved from 4.6 before treatment to 2.5 at week 4, and 1.8 at week 12. The average VAS score while working also improved from 7.8 before treatment to 6.2 at week 4, and 4.25 at week 12. The average PRTEE score improved from 60.13 before treatment to 46.12 at week 4 and 24.6 at week 12. Conclusion: Treatment using a single percutaneous injection of platelet-rich plasma in patients with refractory lateral epicondylitis appears to be an effective treatment modality. Platelet-rich plasma should be considered before surgical intervention.

  • Objective: The purpose of this research was to assess the agreement between job physical risk factor analysis by ergonomists using ergonomic methods and physical examinations made by occupational physicians on the presence of musculoskeletal disorders of the upper extremities. Background: Ergonomics is the systematic application of principles concerned with the design of devices and working conditions for enhancing human capabilities and optimizing working and living conditions. Proper ergonomic design is necessary to prevent injuries and physical and emotional stress. The major types of ergonomic injuries and incidents are cumulative trauma disorders (CTDs), acute strains, sprains, and system failures. Minimization of use of excessive force and awkward postures can help to prevent such injuries Method: Initial data were collected as part of a larger study by the University of Utah Ergonomics and Safety program field data collection teams and medical data collection teams from the Rocky Mountain Center for Occupational and Environmental Health (RMCOEH). Subjects included 173 male and female workers, 83 at Beehive Clothing (a clothing plant), 74 at Autoliv (a plant making air bags for vehicles), and 16 at Deseret Meat (a meat-processing plant). Posture and effort levels were analyzed using a software program developed at the University of Utah (Utah Ergonomic Analysis Tool). The Ergonomic Epicondylitis Model (EEM) was developed to assess the risk of epicondylitis from observable job physical factors. The model considers five job risk factors: (1) intensity of exertion, (2) forearm rotation, (3) wrist posture, (4) elbow compression, and (5) speed of work. Qualitative ratings of these physical factors were determined during video analysis. Personal variables were also investigated to study their relationship with epicondylitis. Logistic regression models were used to determine the association between risk factors and symptoms of epicondyle pain. Results: Results of this study indicate that gender, smoking status, and BMI do have an effect on the risk of epicondylitis but there is not a statistically significant relationship between EEM and epicondylitis. Conclusion: This research studied the relationship between an Ergonomic Epicondylitis Model (EEM) and the occurrence of epicondylitis. The model was not predictive for epicondylitis. However, it is clear that epicondylitis was associated with some individual risk factors such as smoking status, gender, and BMI. Based on the results, future research may discover risk factors that seem to increase the risk of epicondylitis. Application: Although this research used a combination of questionnaire, ergonomic job analysis, and medical job analysis to specifically verify risk factors related to epicondylitis, there are limitations. This research did not have a very large sample size because only 173 subjects were available for this study. Also, it was conducted in only 3 facilities, a plant making air bags for vehicles, a meat-processing plant, and a clothing plant in Utah. If working conditions in other kinds of facilities are considered, results may improve. Therefore, future research should perform analysis with additional subjects in different kinds of facilities. Repetition and duration of a task were not considered as risk factors in this research. These two factors could be associated with epicondylitis so it could be important to include these factors in future research. Psychosocial data and workplace conditions (e.g., low temperature) were also noted during data collection, and could be used to further study the prevalence of epicondylitis. Univariate analysis methods could be used for each variable of EEM. This research was performed using multivariate analysis. Therefore, it was difficult to recognize the different effect of each variable. Basically, the difference between univariate and multivariate analysis is that univariate analysis deals with one predictor variable at a time, whereas multivariate analysis deals with multiple predictor variables combined in a predetermined manner. The univariate analysis could show how each variable is associated with epicondyle pain. This may allow more appropriate weighting factors to be determined and therefore improve the performance of the EEM.

Effects of Shoe Insole Height on Static and Dynamic Balance among Healthy Young Men (중창의 높이가 건강한 젊은 남성들의 정적 및 동적 균형에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to identify whether static and dynamic balance in young men were influenced by the different height of insoles in their shoes. Methods : Eighteen healthy young men (mean $20.61{\pm}1.38years$) were recruited for this study. The subjects' static and dynamic balance were assessed while wearing three different height' insoles (0cm, 2cm, 3cm) in their tennis shoes. Anterioposterior (AP) and mediolateral (ML) sway velocity was measured for 20 seconds using a force plate (Good balance system, Finland) under four conditions including normal standing with eyes open and with eyes closed, and tandem standing with eyes open and with eyes closed. The Functional Reach Test (FRT) and Timed Up & Go (TUG) were also performed for each subject under each condition. Results : 1) ML and AP sway velocities in young men were significantly different according to the height of the insole in normal standing with eyes open and eyes closed. 2) ML and AP sway velocities in young men were not different according to the height of the insole in tandem standing with eyes open. 3) ML sway velocities in young men were significantly different according to the height of the insole in tandem standing with eyes closed, whereas AP sway velocities did not differ by height of the insole in tandem standing with eyes closed. 4) FRT scores in young men were significantly different according to the height of the insole. 5) TUG scores in young men were not significantly different according to the height of the insole. Conclusions : This study's results indicate that the static and dynamic balance in young men can be influenced by shoe insole height.

  • Obesity is an excessive increased state of total body fat, and diabetes is a disease lack or defect of insulin which controls blood sugar. The reason of obesity and diabetes are history, lack of exercise, overeating, stress and so forth. The principle of dietary modification in the obesity and diabetes are controling total calorie control, and taking orderly meals, and restricting high calorie food. General exercise guidance will recommend to take precedence over the medical diagnosis, case history test before the exercise begins, and the beginning of exercise. It start with light excercise, and gradually enhance intensity The fundamental and effective cure of obesity and diabetes is aerobic exercise (as jogging, swimming, playing tennis, aerobic dancing). It is reasonable for exercise intensity to be 60~80$\%$ HRmax(50~70$\%$ $Vo_2$ max) and for the duration to be 15~60minutes a day and frequency to be 3~6 times a week. Especially the exercise intensity may be changeable according to the, pattern of diabetes. The snack that contains carbohydrate during exercise will discontinue the exercise when insulin activity is reached on high peak, and it is a proper way taking 15~20g's carbohydrate contained food against possibility of the low blood sugar occurance after exercise, At last, it is much effective the exercise therapy is combined with the diet therapy for best diabetes treatment.

  • This research shows how autonomous character agents work in 3D sports game and its application to advertising. It is a kind of interdisciplinary study between game and advertising. In other words, advertising can be used a beneficiary model in game industry. For the purpose of analyzing the role of agents, 3D table-tennis game and advertising tools are developed. The role of agents is booming up and focusing on the game by their voices and texts. In game, several famous brands are showed up as a mean of advertising. This study analyzed the role of agents and advertising from the game user's position. For validity and reliability of the research, questionnaires were analyzed. As a results, several facts are found. Firstly, the agents worked positively as a game boomer. More than half of the respondents answered the agents are useful for the game. Secondly, the advertising tools showed up on the game are helpful to understand the brand. In other words, the game is contributed to build up the brand image. These kinds of attempts may be significant in that the agents are performed as a parter of functional and woman-oriented game. And advertising brands when placed in the game could play the role of the game item or quest. The proposed method can provide the basic references for developing 3D game as an interdisciplinary study.

  • Perception refers to the process of acquiring all the information about the environment through various sensory organs such as the visual, auditory, tactile, and olfactory senses and integrating and interpreting the information transmitted to the brain. The ability to use these perceptions efficiently is called perceptual skill, and perceptual skill is an important factor for improving performance in the field of sports. As a result, many researchers have developed various perceptual training programs to maximize these perceptual skills while they have also progressed on attempting to verify their effects. The perceptual skill training introduced in this study is a training method that focuses on visual perception and is a training method that is applied in the United States and Europe. to improve sports performance. As a result of carrying out the perceptual skills training based on the kicker's important clue (the kicker's hip - the angle of the body and foot before kicking) to the goalkeeper in the situation of a soccer penalty kick improved the ability of predicting the direction of the ball while even in tennis, carrying out the perceptual skills training based on the server's important clue (position, ball, racket) improved the accuracy of the ability to predict in the direction of serve. Recently, there have been numerous research studies that were carried out on such perceptual skills training, but the number of studies conducted are insufficient, especially in Korea where research studies on perceptual training seem to be in a relatively neglected state. In addition, extensive studies need to be carried out to investigate whether the improvement of perceptual skills in the laboratory situation can be transitioned to an actual performance situation. Therefore, in order to elevate sports performance, researchers need to examine the perceptual training program's extent of necessity as well as the research direction regarding its effects.

  • 최근 테니스의 저변인구가 크게 증가함에 따라 테니스 라켓의 제작기술도 상당한 수준에 이르렀고 설계제작의 자동화에 의해서 양질의 제품이 시판되고 있다. 그러나 라켓에 볼이 임팩트될때 생기는 진동으로 야기되는 테니스 엘보우 등, 해결해야 할 문제들이 아직도 남아 있다. 이와같이 테니스 라켓의 정적인 강도 뿐만아니라 동적인 특성도 중요한 관심의 대상이 되어감에 따라 볼 컨트롤을 용이하게 한다거나, 안정타점영역(Sweet Spot)의 확장과 그립부의 진동등에 의해서 발생하는 엘보우 현상을 방지하기 위해 여러가지 연구가 수행되어 왔다. 특히, 다차원 스펙트럼해석 및 모우드 해석법에의해 그립부에 미치는 진동원의 동정과 라켓의 동적거동에 대해서 연구되었고, 라켓의 재질변경과 그립부의 구조변경에 의한 안정타점영역에 영향을 미치는 모우드 파라미터(Modal Parameter)의 추정에 관한 연구도 수행되었다. 이러한 연구들은 결국 안정타점영역을 확장시키거나 테니스 엘보우를 방지하기 위한 것으로서 이러한 목적을 달성하기위해 테니스 라켓의 진동 모우드에 관계되는 파라미터들을 찾아서 그 모우드 파라미터의 변화에 따르느 진동 모우드의 거동에 대해서 연구할 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 실험적인 모우드 해석법을 실제 테니스 라켓에 적용하여 모우드 파라미터들을 구한 다음 그 파라미터의 변화에 따르는 안정타점영역의 변화를 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해서 예측하였다. 또한 안정타점영역을 넓히고 라켓의 동특성을 개선시킬 수 있는 모우드 파라미터를 찾아서 테니스 라켓의 설계, 제작 단계에 정보를 제공하는 CAD(Computer Aided Design)에 좋은 자료를 얻고자 한다. 있으나 파도에 의한 영향이 가장 크므로 본 논문에서는 파도에 의한 영향만을 고려하였다. 파도는 쌍동선에 외란으로 작용하며 측정할 수 없는 양이므로 PID, LQ 제어에서는 제어모델에 포함되지 않지만 LQG 제어에서는 제어모델에 포함된다. LQG 제어의 경우 제어모델에 파도를 백색잡음으로 가정하고 제어기를 구성한 것 (LQG1)과 2차의 쉐이핑필터(shaping filter)를 사용하여 구성한 것(LQG2)으로 나누었다.져 한다.) 식도 이물에 의한, 또는 식도경술에 의한 합병증이 초래한 경우는 식도점막열상 1례 (1.8 %), 식도 천공 1례 (1.8 %) 였으며, 기도이물에 의한, 또는 기관지경술에 의한 합병증이 초래한 경우는 무기폐 2례 (11.1 %), 폐렴 3례 (16.7 %)로 나타났다.5예에서 소실되었다. 5 ) 청각심리검사 (Psychoacoustic evaluation)에서 폴립은 술전에 Grade 1∼2의 사성이 있었던 11예중 술후 10예에서 Grade 0로 되었으며 Grade 1∼2의 사성이 있었던 3예의 결절에서도 모두 Grade 0로 정상화되었다.>치를 측정한 결과 투여전과 차이가 없었다. 7) 이상의 결과로 볼때 Cis-platinum 사용으로 인한 이중독증은 신장기능이 정상일때는 충분한 hydration으로써 예방이 가능하며 동시에 금기로 알려져왔던 감음성난청이 있는 두경부악성종양환자에서도 세심한 주의하에 적절히 사용한다면 좋은 결과를 얻을 수 있을 것으로 사려된다.은 결과를 얻었기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. 1) 이관폐쇄술후 18시간에 최초로 삼출액이 확인되었으며 그 이후는 전실험군에서 삼출성중이염이 유발되다. 2

누적외상병에 관한 연구

  • 반복적인 일의 수행으로 인한 병인 누적외상병에 관해 살펴보고자 한다. 누적외 상병(Cumulative Trauma Disorders)이란 비교적 생소한 질환으로 손이나 어떤 신체 부위를 반복적으로 오래 사용하였을 때 오는 병이다. 이 질환은 200년전 이탈리아 의사인 Benardino Ramazinni에 의해 분류되었으나 최근까지 큰 관심을 끌지 못했 다. 이 병은 Tennis Elbow(테니스 팔꿈치) 또는 Triger Finger(방아쇠 손가락)등 으로 더 잘 알려져 왔다. 그리고 의학계에서는 Ganglions(수종)으로 알려져 왔다. 그러나 80년대의 탁상컴퓨터의 보급으로 많은 사무실에서 반복적인 작업을 연속적 으로 하게 되어 많은 사무원들이 누적외상병(CTD)으로 고통에 시달리게 되고, 심한 경우에는 수술까지 하게된다. 제안자 역시 이 병으로 손목수술을 받은 바 있는 데 이 병은 잠복기가 몇년씩 되는 직업병이다. 이병의 특성상 암과 같이 조기에 발견 하기 어렵고, 이것을 느꼈을 때는 대부분 너무 늦어 수술이 불가피한 경우가 많다. 본 연구에서는 누적외상병의 실체와 현재까지의 외국에서 수행된 연구결과를 소개하고, 현재 한국에서의 이병의 실태를 파악하기 위해 표본대상을 선정하여 설 문조사와 실측조사를 함께 수행하고자 한다. 표본대상으로 육체노동으로 반복작업 을 하는 (Blue-Color) 집단, 사무실에서 반복작업을 하는 (White-Color) 집단, 그리 고 가정에서 반복작업을 하게 되는 주부집단등으로 나누어 실태조사를 하고자 한다. 설문조사의 통계처리를 바탕으로 한국에서의 누적외상병에 관한 실태조사와 의식구 조까지를 진단해 보고자 한다. 그런 다음 총체적이고 최신의 이론과 연구에 바탕을 둔 해결책과 대안을 제시해 보고자 한다.콘에 대해 일반화시키기는 어려우나 이후에 행해질 Icon-based User Interface 분야의 많은 연구들의 기초가 될 것이다. 더불어 아이콘과 관련된 많은 요인들(문화적 영향, 아이콘 색깔, 크기, 아이콘의 위치등이 인식에 미치는 영향)에 대해서도 연구가 행해져야 할 것이다. 확인하고 각각의 기능을 분명히 했다.가 수월하게 하였고 메모리를 동적으로 관리할 수 있게 하였다. 또한 기존의 smpl에 디버깅용 함수 및 설비(facility) 제어용 함수를 추가하여 시뮬레이션 프로그램 작성을 용이하게 하였다. 예를 들면 who_server(), who_queue(), pop_Q(), push_Q(), pop_server(), push_server(), we(), wf(), printfct() 같은 함수들이다. 또한 동시에 발생되는 사건들의 순서를 조종하기 위해, 동시에 발생할 수 있는 각각의 사건에 우선순위를 두어 이 우선 순위에 의하여 사건 리스트(event list)에서 자동적으로 사건들의 순서가 결정되도록 확장하였으며, 설비 제어방식에 있어서도 FIFO, LIFO, 우선 순위 방식등을 선택할 수 있도록 확장하였다. Utilizing an Office Building of Public Institution for Activating the Communities of Innovation City - Focused on the Facility Type and Scale (혁신도시 지역커뮤니티 활성화를 위한 공공기관 사옥 활용방안 - 도입시설 유형 및 규모산정을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to prepare the introduction of the community facilities in public corporation buildings as the effort to community activation in the innovation city. The type and development condition of community facilities, and the cases of the private and public corporation buildings are studied. Moreover, the type and scale of facilities which can be established in the public corporation building that will move to the innovation city. The result can be summarized as follows; First, the community facilities can be classified into leisure, public administration, culture, athletics, and welfare, and the facilities are suggested at each hierarchy of living area. Secondly, the result of the case study shows that the public corporation establishes and operates various facilities include welfare, culture, and athletic facilities while the private part usually installs the cultural one. Thirdly, cultural(library, museum, performing place), athletic(soccer field, tennis court, swimming pool), welfare(day nursery, children's library) facilities are selected as the applicable ones to the public corporation building which is going to move to the innovation city. And finally, the basic unit of each facility is derived based on the investigation of legal standard, present condition, and literature reviews, etc., and applied to estimate the scale of the community facility in the public corporation building.

A Study on the Compensation Methods of Object Recognition Errors for Using Intelligent Recognition Model in Sports Games (스포츠 경기에서 지능인식모델을 이용하기 위한 대상체 인식오류 보상방법에 관한 연구)

  • This paper improves the possibility of recognizing fast-moving objects through the YOLO (You Only Look Once) deep learning recognition model in an application environment for object recognition in images. The purpose was to study the method of collecting semantic data through processing. In the recognition model, the moving object recognition error was identified as unrecognized because of the difference between the frame rate of the camera and the moving speed of the object and a misrecognition due to the existence of a similar object in an environment adjacent to the object. To minimize the recognition errors by compensating for errors, such as unrecognized and misrecognized objects through the proposed data collection method, and applying vision processing technology for the causes of errors that may occur in images acquired for sports (tennis games) that can represent real similar environments. The effectiveness of effective secondary data collection was improved by research on methods and processing structures. Therefore, by applying the data collection method proposed in this study, ordinary people can collect and manage data to improve their health and athletic performance in the sports and health industry through the simple shooting of a smart-phone camera.
