궤도회로기반 시스템에서 통신기반 시스템으로의 개량사업에 대한 장점 (The Advantage of renovation from Track Circuit Based Train Control to Communication Based Train Control)

  • Nowadays, the technology development of communication and system engineering should impact on the Train Control System(TCS). The one of main developments in TCS is the Communication Based Train Control(CBTC), which does not depend on the track circuit. Currently, there are the project to modernize TCS as CBTC system from the track circuit system around the world. In Korea, there are the new CBTC system revenue projects such as Busan-Gimhae LRT, Sin-Bundang Line, and so on. There is also Government project called Maglev Line in Daejeon, which is applied CBTC system. Through the examples of world TCS renovation, it is expected to modernize the track circuit TCS system as CBTC system in Korea. Therefore, we would express the advantage of developing from the traditional TCS system to CBTC TCS system.

한국형 고속전철용 신호시스템의 실험실 시험을 위한 통합 신호시스템 (Integrated Railway Signaling Systems for Laboratory Testing of Next-generation High-speed Train)

  • Railway signaling systems consist of several vital computerized equipment such as CTC(Centralized Traffic Control), EIS(Electronic Interlocking System), ATC(Automatic Train Control) and so on. Currently, the project for development of railway signaling systems for the next-generation high-speed train is progressed according to the G7 project and railway signaling related several companies and research institute are joined this project consortium. The railway signaling systems, being developed in this project, called as a kTCS(Korean Train Control System), is composed of kTCS-CTC, kTCS-IXL, kTCS-ATC and etc. kTCS signaling systems have to be operated at the laboratory testing level as integrated signaling systems by interface between each railway signaling systems before railway field installation and revenue service. To solve this matter, communication protocols between each signaling equipment are designed and message codes for each defined protocols have defined. And also several equipment has developed for the railway integrated signaling systems for laboratory testing. We has plentifully tested and verified the designed protocols and the characteristics of integrated railway signaling systems with our developed each kTCS signaling equipment and communication protocols. In this paper, the integrated kTCS system including communication protocols is presented.

무선통신기반 열차제어시스템 상호운영성 연구 (Investigation of Radio Communications-based Train Control System with Interoperability)

  • 연구는 무선통신기반 열차제어시스템의 상호운영성(interoperability)을 확보하기 위하여 열차제어와 관련된 위험원 분석, 열차제어시스템의 기능요구사항 설정 및 차상과 지상ATP(Automatic Train Protection)장치의 기능배치를 포함하고 있다. 개방형 무선통신기술을 활용하고, 지상과 차상에서 수행되는 열차제어시스템의 기능배치를 표준화화여 상호운영성을 확보할 수 있으며, 이를 통하여 철도망의 통합운영체계를 구축할 수 있다. 상호운영성을 지원하는 열차제어시스템의 기능을 지상과 차상에 배치하기 위해서는 위험원 분석과 시스템 요구사항 정의를 필요로 한다. 열차제어시스템의 위험원으로 열차안전간격제어와 열차제한속도초과를 설정하여 위험원 요인을 확인하였다. 또한 위험원 요인이 열차제어시스템에 미치는 영향을 확인하고 열차제어시스템의 하부장치의 기능요구사항과 ATP의 지상기능과 차상기능 배치를 정의하였다.

  • A train control system(TCS) becomes a large scale and complex as other computer based control systems. So, it is necessary to manage rigorously system requirements specification of the train control system at the early phase. This paper describes Use Cases and activity diagrams of the TCS functions requirements of TCS. Basic functions of the train control system suggested refer to IEC62290-1. And the basic functions includes train operation without a driver.

고정폐색 열차제어시스템 속도제어코드 설계에 관한 연구 (Study on the Speed Control Code Design for Fixed Block TCS)

  • 경부고속철도는 운영환경(차량,구배,곡선,시설물 등)에 따라 궤도회로를 여러 개의폐색으로 분할하여 운행하는 고정폐색방식의 열차제어시스템으로 운행된다. 고정폐색방식 열차제어시스템은 선행열차의 점유폐색을 기준으로 진입/진출폐색속도, 목표거리, 감속도와 같은 운행정보를 차상열차제어장치로 전송하여 연속적으로 열차를 제어하는 방식으로, 경부고속철도 열차제어시스템은 열차가 해당 폐색의 진입/진출속도를 초과할 경우, 비상제동명령을 내려 열차의 안전한 운행을 보장한다. 본 논문에서는 안전한 운행을 위해 폐색에 할당되는 속도제어코드의 생성원리를 분석하여, 최고운행속도와 운행차량특성에 따른 속도제어코드를 도출하고, 도출된 속도제어코드에 따른 운행시격 분석을 통해 열차 운행효율을 분석하였다. 이와 같은 연구는 기존 고속철도의 증속 및 신규 고속철도 열차제어시스템 설계 자료로 활용될 수 있다.

열차제어시스템의 안전계획 수립에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Safety Plan for a Train Control System)

  • In this paper we present a safety plan to be applied to the development of the TCS(Train Control System). The safety plan that can be applied to the life cycle of a system, from the conceptual design to the dismantlement, shows the whole process of the paper work in detail through the establishment of a goal, analysis and assessment, the verification. In this paper we study about the making a plan, the preliminary hazard analysis, the hazard identification and analysis to guarantee the safety of the TCS. The process far the verification of the system safety is divided into several steps based on the target system and the approaching method. The guarantee of the system safety and the improvement of the system reliability is fellowed by the recommendation of the international standards.

  • 논문은 유도 루프식 열차제어시스템에 대하여 준 정량적 안전무결성 등급(Safety Integrity Level : SIL)할당 방법을 적용하여 안전무결성 등급을 할당한 결과이다. 유도 루프식 열차제어시스템은 ATS장치, 지상ATP장치, 차상ATP장치, 지상ATO장치, 차상ATO 지상장치 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어로 구성되어 있으며, 안전무결성 등급 할당은 각 서브시스템에 대한 안전무결성 등급을 의미한다. 준 정량적 방법의 세 원칙에 근거하여, 열차제어시스템을 구성하고 있는 서브시스템에 대한 안전무결성 등급을 할당하였다.

  • A TCS(Train Control System) is the core facility to ensure the safety and efficiency of train operations, it is difficult to have interoperability between the TCS suppliers. To ensure the interoperability between TCSs, there is a need for definition, validation and standardization on the system configuration, the functions of subsystems, the interface between subsystems an the system protocol. In this paper, we analyzed the completeness of the KRTCS(Korean Radio based Train Control System) specification, derived supplements what you need to apply the KRTCS specification to new urban lines.
