  • Thermo-mechanical behavior and mechanical properties of intelligent polymer matrix composite with SMA fiber are experimentally studied. It is found that increments of compressive thermal strain is observed as the pre-strain and TiNi volume fraction increase. The smartness of the SMA is given due to the shape memory effect of the TiNi fiber which generates compressive residual stress in the matrix material when heated after being prestrained. In the paper, alloy is based on the general purpose commercial code ANSYS. And for the purpose of easy and fast user's analysis, it is developed the Graphical User Interface by using Tcl/Tk language.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a structural. analysis system of LNG pump tower structure. The system affords to build optimized finite element model and procedure of the pump tower structure. The pump tower structure is one of the most important components of LNG (liquefied natural gas) carriers. The pump tower structure is subject to sloshing load of LNG induced by ship motion depending on filling ratio. Three types of loading components, which are thermal, inertia and self-gravity are considered in the analysis. All these design and analysis procedures are embedded in to the analysis system successfully.

  • 현대 산업의 기업활동에 있어서 조직의 확대와 세분화,제품의 다양화 및 전문화에 따라, 생산활동을 위한 부서간의 정보 공유는 물론 협력업체, 부품공급 업체 상호간의 원활한 정보교환이 필수적인 요구 조건이 되고 있다. 그러나 이러한 기업환경의 변경에도 불구하고 이들 정보들이 서로 다른 형식과 구조, 이 기종의 컴퓨터 환견과 각기 다른 데이터 저장방식 또는 운용소프트웨어,네트웍 구조 등의 문제로 인하여, 문서교환에 의해 상호간의 정보를 공유하는 것이 현재의 실정이다. 문서교환에 의존하는 현재의 정보교환 방식은 과다한 서류의 중복작성 및 보관, 데이터의 부정확, 개발 납기의 지연과 같은 문제점을 갖게 된다.이러한 문제점 해결을 위해 제품개발에서 생산, 영업활동 전반에 걸친 정보 자동화 및 시스템들 상호간의 제품정보의 호환성 문제가 주요한 관심사가 되도 있다. 본 연구는 국제표준인 STEP 응용규약의 하나인 AP203(Application Protocol)을 이용하여 제품설계 정보 시스템을 구축하고자 한다.

3D Convolutional Neural Networks based Fall Detection with Thermal Camera (열화상 카메라를 이용한 3D 컨볼루션 신경망 기반 낙상 인식)

  • This paper presents a vision-based fall detection system to automatically monitor and detect people's fall accidents, particularly those of elderly people or patients. For video analysis, the system should be able to extract both spatial and temporal features so that the model captures appearance and motion information simultaneously. Our approach is based on 3-dimensional convolutional neural networks, which can learn spatiotemporal features. In addition, we adopts a thermal camera in order to handle several issues regarding usability, day and night surveillance and privacy concerns. We design a pan-tilt camera with two actuators to extend the range of view. Performance is evaluated on our thermal dataset: TCL Fall Detection Dataset. The proposed model achieves 90.2% average clip accuracy which is better than other approaches.

  • 스크립트 언어는 모듈의 결합이나 조정 등의 여러 목적으로 쓰이고 있는 언어이다. 스크립트 언어는 사용의 편리함과 높은 생산성으로 인해 널리 사용되고 있다. 그러나 현재 너무나 많은 스크립트 언어가 개발$\cdot$제시되고 있어 프로그래머가 스크립트 언어를 선택해야 할 때 어떤 언어를 선택해야 할지 판단하기 힘든 실정이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 프로그래밍 편의성 관점에서의 비교 기준을 제시하고 대표적인 스크립트 언어(VB script, Ruby, Perl, Python, Tcl, Lua, Groovy)를 이 기준에 따라 비교하였다. 비교 결과 각 비교 분야에 강점을 보이는 언어를 발견하였다. 본 논문의 결과는 스크립트 언어를 선택하는데 도움이 될 것이다.

Temperature Field Measurement of Ventilation Flow in a Vehicle Interior (TLC와 컬러화상처리를 이용한 자동차 실내 환기유동의 온도장 측정)

  • The variations of the temperature field in a passenger compartment were measured by using a HSI true color image processing system and TLC(Thermochromic Liquid Crystal) solution. This temperature measurement technique was proved to be useful for analyzing the ventilation flow. The flow field in the passenger compartment was visualized using a particle streak method with pulsed laser light sheet. The temperature field and flow field in the passenger copartment were affected significantly by the ventilation mode. The panel-vent mode heating had shorter elapse time to reach a uniform temperature than the foot-vent mode under the same ventilation condition and nonuniformity inside the passenger compartment could be minimized effectively by using the bilevel heating mode. The temperature increase rate in the rear passenger compartment was iower than the front compartment, especially in the vicinity of the rear seat occupants' knee level.

  • The market, development and trend of Lithium ion Batteries in China are introduce briefly. Early, Chinese manufactories were busy to expand and many new battery factories have been built up. Now, the relatively large companies pay more attentions on comprehensive quality improvement, therefore the production processing and facilities have been also modified in some extent. The recent technology progresses focus on High capacity (energy density), High rate, High average voltage, High safety, High temperature properties, Long cycle life, Low temperature properties, Low self discharge, Low cost, Super-large, Super-small, Super-thin, Consistency, Customization, and Environment friendly processing, simply $H_5L_4S_3C_2E_1$. Lithium ion polymer batteries which all batteries packaged with soft lamination film are named as in China have a quick growth and emphasized here because of their advantages ins $H_5L_4S_3C_2E_1$ for which it is quite difficult to be realized at the same time. Some of research works such as listed above are introduced. The other contends related to application trend of Lithium ion batteries and projects carrying out are also included.

  • We propose the robust PBFLMS in noises, which is the enhanced acoustic echo canceller using ACPBF-LMS(Alternative Constrained Partitioned Block Frequency domain Least Mean Square) algorithm. The defect of the block structure filtering is the deterioration of convergence efficiency from noise and interference. To improve the performance of convergence efficiency, noise effect should be reduced. The new method of reducing noise effect is proposed, which apply the estimated background noise to adaptive filter step size. By experiments, the proposed acoustic echo canceller has TCL of 50dB, and always provides faster convergence speed and lower complexity than the full-tap NLMS. We also carried out an implementation of PBFLMS using ARM9EJ-S.

  • This paper concerns about how and why design frameworks for optimization should consider various software development environments such as MATLAB, VB, VBscript, Python, Tcl, PHP, Perl, and JAVA. The frameworks can be utilized by many engineers who have a basic concept about the optimization theory and/or basic knowledge about the computer programming languages. The framework will integrate a number of remote CAE tools, automatically execute them for design optimization, and have the capabilities of post-processing of data such as objective functions, state variables and design variables using a third-party spreadsheet program like Excel. The prototype framework developed in this study will be applied to various examples of optimization problems and show the validity of the proposed method of a framework implemenation.

Study of the Long-Term Behavior Characteristics of Roadbed on Concrete Track of High-speed Railway (고속철도 콘크리트 궤도상 토공노반의 장기거동 특성 연구)

  • This study examined the long-term behavior of a roadbed using high-speed railway concrete track and roadbed measurement data and evaluated the long-term performance of the track and roadbed. Recently, high-speed railway track type has been adopted as a concrete slab. On the other hand, the concrete track is vulnerable to roadbed settlement. In the case of gravel tracks, it is easy to restore the original state by maintenance even if the roadbed settles. On the other hand, in the case of the concrete track, if excessive settlement of the roadbed occurs, cracks are generated continuously on the slabs and sleepers, resulting in greatly reduced usability. For this reason, it is difficult to restore the original state only by partial maintenance. In this paper, a long-term performance evaluation was carried out on a concrete track during operation by monitoring the measurement data of sensors buried from the beginning of construction for approximately 3 years after the high-speed railway opened. Performance evaluation methods include a performance evaluation of track/roadbed when the train passes, long-term track and roadbed performance evaluation, analysis of the track/roadbed effect on long-term settlement and analysis of the factors influencing long-term settlement. The trail response of KTX-Sancheon was greatest in the track/roadbed performance evaluation by train. The results of the long-term track and roadbed performance evaluation were measured within the standard values. The track and roadbed performance impact assessment with long-term settlement was strongly related to TCL settlement. The influences of the water content and groundwater level were verified by analyzing the external factors of long-term settlement. Through such a method, the stability of a track/roadbed can be secured.
