Characteristics Type of Vascular Plants in Jeokjabong, Bogil Island(Jeonnam) (보길도(전남) 적자봉 일대의 관속식물상 유형별 특성)

  • The vascular plants in Jeokjabong, Bogil Island were listed 350 taxa composed of 89 families, 233 genera, 309 species, 1 subspecies, 36 varieties and 4 forms. Divided into woody plants were 142 taxa (40.6%) and herbaceous plants were 208 taxa (59.4%). Based on the list of rare and endangered species by Korea Forest Service and Korea National Arboretum, 3 taxa were recorded; Celtis choseniana, Asarum maculatum, Rubus sorbifolius, and endemic plants, 10 taxa were recorded; Asarum maculatum, Cephalotaxus koreana, Carpinus coreana, Celtis choseniana, Lespedeza maritima, Indigofera koreana, Dendropanax morbifera, Ligustrum quihoui var. latifolium, Weigela subsessilis, Carex okamotoi, and plant species subject to permission for taking abroad, 4 taxa were recorded; Celtis choseniana, Asarum maculatum, Vaccinium oldhami, Carex okamotoi. Based on the list of floristic regional indicator plants by Korean Ministry of Environment were total 64 taxa (18.3% of all 350 taxa of vascular plants); Ligustrum quihoui var. latifolium in class IV, 19 taxa (Stauntonia hexaphylla, Cinnamomum japonicum, Zanthoxylum ailanthoides, Daphniphyllum macropodum, Centella asiatica, Verbena officinalis, Mitchella undulata, etc.) in class III, 5 taxa (Potentilla dickinsii, Ostericum melanotilingia, Sanicula rubriflora, Caryopteris incana, Teucrium veronicoides) in class II and 39 taxa (Gleichenia dichotoma, Cyrtomium fortunei, Aphananthe aspera, Rubus hirsutus, Meliosma myriantha, Hedera rhombea, Ainsliaea apiculata, etc.) in class I. Based on the list of naturalized plants, 5 families, 17 genera, 20 taxa (Phytolacca americana, Lepidium virginicum, Robinia pseudo-acacia, Verbesina alternifolia, Lolium perenne, etc.) and naturalization rate was 5.7% of all 350 taxa of vascular plants. Hereafter natural ecosystem into disturbance on naturalized plants and legal protection species and rare and endangered species distribute in the Bogil Island, precision investigation after management counterplan of the monitoring a point of view be required.

A Floristic Study of the Economic Plants in Mt. Gangcheon(Sunchang-gun Jeollabuk- do) (강천산(전북.순창)의 자원식물상 연구)

  • The flora and the useful economic plants of Mt. Gangcheon was investigated from March to November, 2005. Vascular plants of this area consisted of total 379 taxa; 6 forms, 45 varieties, 328 species, 253 genera, 97 families. It corresponds to 9.31% of totally 4,071 taxa distributed in Korea. The useful plants of this area were 315 taxa. It corresponds to 83.1% of collected plants in this area. Among the useful plants, there were 161 taxa of edible source, 121 taxa of pastural source, 147 taxa of medicinal source, 82 taxa of ornamental source, 11 taxa of timber source, 14 taxa of industrial source. Korean endemic plants were composed of 16 taxa - 14 families, 16 genera, 12 species, 3 varieties, 1 forma. It corresponded to 4.2% of collected materials. The floristic specialized species of $III{\sim}V$ grades were 9 taxa, it correspond to 2.3% of collected materials. The naturalized plants were 15 taxa, it corresponded to 6.7% of 225 taxa distributed in Korea.

Distribution of Vascular Plants in Mt. Ilsan(Hwacheon-gun, Gangwon-do) (일산(강원.화천)의 관속식물 분포)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the distribution of vascular plants and their usefulness in Mt. Ilsan (Hwacheon-gun, Gangwon-do). The vascular plants were summarized as 496 taxa; 91 families, 295 genera, 422 species, 1 subspecies, 58 varieties, and 15 forma. Among the investigated 496 taxa, 17 Korean endemic, nine rare, and one endangered plants were included. Based on the list of the species of specially designated plants by the Ministry of Environment, 66 taxa including Hanabusaya asiatica and Aconitum koreanum were recorded in the investigated area. The naturalized plants were identified as 27 taxa and the percent of naturalized plant species(PN) was 5.4% of all 496 taxa vascular plants. Usage of 496 taxa were consists of 201 taxa(40.5%) of edible plants, 168 taxa(33.9%) of medicinal plants, 69 taxa(13.9%) of pasture plants, 61 taxa(12.3%) of ornamental plants, 17 taxa(3.4%) of timber plants, 16 taxa(3.2%) of fiber plants and 4 taxa(0.8%) of industrial plants.

Vascular Plants of Hwapocheon Wetland Protected area in Gimhae (김해 화포천 습지보호지역의 관속식물상)

  • The Purpose of this study were to present the basic data for conservation and management of wetland ecosystem by surveying the characteristics of vascular plants distributed in Hwapocheon wetland protected area. The results are as follows. The numbers of vascular plants were summrized as 339 taxa including 81 familices, 221 genera, 315 species, 9 subspecies and 12 varieties and 2 forms. The rare plants were 7 taxa including Aristolochia contorta, Hydrocharis dubia and so on. The floristic target species were 32 taxa including 17 taxa of grade I, 7 taxa of grade II, 4 taxa of grade III, 2 taxa of grade IV and 2 taxa of grade V. The invasive alien plants were 66 Rumex crispus, Oenothera biennis, Veronica arvensis and so on. The ecosystem disturbing species were 11 taxa including Humulus scandens, Ambrosia artemisiifolia, Ambrosia trifida, Lactuca seriola, Symphyotrichum pilosum and so on. The hydrophytes were 29 taxa including 16 taxa of emergent plants, 3 taxa of submerged plants, 4 taxon of free-floating plant 6 taxa of floation-leaved plants.

The Folk Plants in Northern Region of Chungcheongbuk-do

  • This study was carried out in order to catalogue the folk plants of 7 counties and cities of northern region of Chungcheongbuk-do from March to October, 2011. Based on the 626 survey sheets collected from 67 residents at 17 places of 7 counties and were subsequently analysed. The identified folk plants in the northern region of Chungcheongbuk-do consisted of a total 348 taxa; 98 families, 250 genera, 298 species, 5 subspecies, 38 varieties, and 7 forms. The use by its usage were: 223 taxa; edible, 123 taxa; medicinal, 4 taxa; dye, 2 taxa; aroma, 6 taxa; spice, 32 taxa; ornamental, 11 taxa; oil, 4 taxa; starch, 22 taxa; and others, respectively, so the edible use is the highest. The most useful part was the leaf, followed by fruit and root. The consistency comparison between the scientific and the local name were the highest in the 50's and the lowest in 80's.

Practical Plan and Vascular Plants Around Construct-Reserved Site of Ecological Forest in Baekdudaegan (백두대간 생태숲 조성예정지의 관속식물상과 활용방안)

  • This study was carried out to survey the vascular plants of the construct-reserved site of ecological forest in Kohang-ri, Sangri-myeon, Yecheon-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Korea. The results are as follows. The vascular plants in this site were recorded as 392 taxa; 85 families, 254 genera, 341 species, 45 varieties and 6 forma. The Korean endemic plants were 5 taxa; Salix hallaisanensis, Clematis trichotoma, Chrysosplenium barbatum, Philadelphus schrenckii and Weigela subsessilis. The rare plants designated by Korea Forest Service were 2 taxa; Iris ensata var. spontanea and Aristolochia contorta. The naturalized plants were 25 taxa; Bromus tectorum, Dactylis glomerata, Panicum dichotomiflorum, Bilderdykia dumetora and so forth. In the results of analysis by floristic region, the specific plants were summarized as 31 taxa; Matteuccia struthiopteris, Oxalis obtriangulata, Betula davurica, Cimicifuga heracleifolia and so forth. The plants with approval for delivering oversea were 4 taxa; Salix hallaisanensis, Aristolochia controrta, Clematis trichotoma and Chrysosplenium barbatum. The plant resources were 186 taxa of ornamental plant, 241 taxa of edible plant, 274 taxa of medicinal plant and 202 taxa of others.

  • This study was carried out to investigated the flora of Naknam-Jeongmaek, Korea. The survey sites were Gilmajae, Mt. Muryang, Mt. Yeohang, Mt. Muhak, Mt. Cheonju and Mt. Sineo. The flora were summarized, numbering 666 taxa including 112 families, 357 genera, 574 species, 4 subspecies, 73 varieties and 15 forms. The threatened species was Aconitum austrokoreense. The rare plants were 12 taxa including Asarum maculatum, Wikstroemia ganpi, Viola albida, Tricyrtis macropoda and so forth. The Korean endemic plants were 19 taxa including Salix koriyanagi, Thalictrum actaefolium var. brevistylum, Weigela subsessilis, Hosta minor and so forth. The specific plants by floristic region were 81 taxa including 38 taxa of grade I, 19 taxa of grade II, 16 taxa of grade III, 7 taxa of grade IV and 1 taxa of grade V. The naturalized plants were 32 taxa including Rumex crispus, Physalis angulata, Erechtites hieracifolia, Taraxacum officinale and so forth. The invasive alien plants were Ambrosia artemisiifolia and Aster pilosus.

Studies on Specific Plants and Rare Plants around Chunji and Sochunji in Mt. Baekdu (백두산 천지와 소천지주변의 희귀식물과 특정식물종 연구)

  • The flora of vascular plants around Chunji and Sochunji in Mt. Baekdu was listed 120 taxa; 31 families, 81 genera, 97 species, 1 subspecies, 21 varieties and 1 form. About endangered wild plants, 2 taxa (Paeonia obovata, Rhododendron aureum) are in class II. 12 taxa were listed as rare and endangered plants; Disporum ovale, Lilium davuricum, Saxifraga punctata, Rosa marretii, Cnidium tachiroei, Bupleurum euphorbioides, Halenia corniculata, Gentiana jamesii, Pedicularis verticillata, etc. 10 taxa were listed as Korean endemic plants; Lilium amabile, Aconitum pseudolaeve var. erectum, Oxytropis anertii for. alba, Valeriana officinalis var. latifolia, Cardamine resedifolia var. morii, Homopteryx nakaiana, Saussurea alpicola, Ligularia jamesii, etc. Specific plants by floral region were total 47 taxa; 3 taxa (Paeonia obovata, Rhododendron aureum, Pedicularis verticillata) in class V, 15 taxa (Lycopodium annotinum, Alnus maximowiczii, Saxifraga punctata, Petasites saxatile, etc.) in class IV, 5 taxa (Spiraea salicifolia, Sanguisorba hakusanensis, Acer ukurunduense, Campanula glomerata var. dahurica, Cacalia adenostyloides) in class III, 18 taxa (Lycopodium chinense, Disporum ovale, Ceologlossum viride var. bracteatum, Betula ermani, Aruncus dioicus var. kamtschaticus, Filipendula multijuga, Geranium eriostemon, Cnidium tachiroei, Ligularia stenocephala, etc.) in class II, 6 taxa (Pinus koraiensis, Cimicifuga simplex, Sanguisorba tenuifolia var. alba, Senecio nemorensis, Cacalia hastata subsp. orientalis, Cirsium pendulum) in class I. Peculiar flora around Chunji is thought to be made by the environmental factors such as wind, temperature and rainfall that influence the plants' growth.

Vascular Plants of Major Wetlands in Gyeongju National Park - Focused on Tohamsan wetland, Amgok wetland and Namsan wetland - (경주국립공원 내 주요습지의 관속식물상 - 토함산습지, 암곡습지, 남산습지를 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to present the fundamental data for conservation and management of wetland ecosystem by surveying and analysing the vascular plants distributed in major wetlands, Gyeongju National Park. The study sites were Tohamsan wetland, Amgok wetland and Namsan wetland. The numbers of vascular plants were summarized as 200 taxa including 70 families, 145 genera, 171 species, 2 subspecies, 23 varieties and 4 forms. The threatened species designated by Ministry of Environment was Utricularia yakusimensis, and the rare plants were 7 taxa including Utricularia yakusimensis, Drosera rotundifolia, Mosla japonica, Utricularia bifida, Pogonia japonica, Utricularia racemosa and Iris ensata var. spontanea. The Korean endemic plants were Lespedeza maritima and Weigela subsessilis. The specific plants by floristic region were 12 taxa including 3 taxa of grade V, 1 taxa of grade IV, 1 taxa of grade III, 2 taxa of grade II and 5 taxa of grade I. The plants with approval for delivering oversea were 9 taxa including Glycine soja, Saussurea pulchella, Habenaria linearifolia and so forth. The naturalized platns were 5 taxa including Rumex obtusifolius, Ambrosia artemisiifolia, Bidens frondosa, Erigeron annuus and Erigeron strigosus, the invasive alien plant was Ambrosia artemisiifolia.

Flora of Surrounding North gate, Underground Forest, and Sochunji in Mt. Baekdu (백두산의 북측산문, 지하산림, 소천지 주변에 대한 식물상)

  • This study was to establish the floristic composition of vascular plants of North gate Underground forest Sochunji in Mt. Baekdu. This study was conducted during the period of 27 June ~ 2 July 2007. Vascular plants of Mt. Baekdu were composed of 56 families, 141 genera, 172 species, 34 varieties and 1 formae, totaling 207 taxa; North gate area was 136 taxa, Underground forest area was 71 taxa, Sochunji area was 63 taxa. Among the investigated vascular plants, Korea endemic plants were 4 species, rare and endangered plants were 11 species, naturalized plants were 2 species. The special plants by floristic region were 71 taxa; V rank species in 9 taxa, 8 taxa as IV rank species, 18 taxa as III rank species, 23 taxa as II rank species, and 13 taxa as I rank species.
