Improving Accuracy of Soil Property Measurements by NIR Spectroscopy

  • Traditional wet chemical methods for testing of soil properties require extensive time and labor, and cause the discharge of pollutants, making them undesirable for routine soil analyses. This research was conducted to improve the accuracy of soil properties in soil fertility assessments. A total of 140 finely ground soil samples were used to obtain accurate calibrations and validation for estimating soil moisture, OM, and T-N. Finely ground soil samples satisfied the improved accuracy for routine NIR measuring of the field soils. The results indicated that NIR spectroscopy could be used as a routine method for quantitatively determining OM, moisture, and T-N of field soil, although this technique requires many combinations of sample pretreatments and data manipulations to obtain optimal predictions.

  • Nonlinear parabolized stability equations for compressible flow in general curvilinear coordinate system are derived to deal with a broad range of transition prediction problems on complex geometry. A highly accurate finite difference PSE code has been developed using an implicit marching procedure. Blasius flow is tested. The results of the present computation show good agreement with DNS data. Nonlinear interaction can make the T-S fundamental wave more unstable and the onset of its amplitude decay is shifted downstream relative to linear case. For nonlinear calculations, rather small difference in initial amplitude can produce large change during nonlinear region. Compressible secondary instability at Mach number 1.6 is also simulated and showed that 1.1% initial amplitude for primary mode is enough to trigger the secondary growth.

  • 현재 사물인터넷 시장이 커져감에 따라 사물인터넷 보안위협도 증가하고 있다. 시중의 가정이나, 회사 등에서 사용하는 사물인터넷 플랫폼은 사용자 개개인에 대해 각 장치의 제어권한을 설정할 수 없다. 이로 인해 보안사고, 자원낭비 등 여러 문제가 발생할 가능성이 높다. 본 논문에서는 관리자가 사용자 개개인에게 각 장치의 제어 권한을 설정하고, 인증을 거친 사용자가 장치를 쉽게 제어할 수 있는 사물인터넷 플랫폼에서 활용할 수 있는 권한 인증 모델을 제시한다.

Fabrication and Test of the 3.8 ㎸ Resistive SFCL Based on YBCO Films (3.8 ㎸급 7직렬 저항형 고온초전도한류기의 제작 및 시험)

  • We fabricated and tested a resistive superconducting fault current limiters (SFCL) operated at 3.8 ㎸ based on YBCO thin films. The SFCL was composed of 7 components connected in series. Each component was designed to be capable of current limiting at 600 V, and has a SiC shunt resistor ( $R_{s}$) of 40 Ω in Parallel. Short circuit tests were carried out fur 0 and 90 degree faults lasting fur 5 cycles. The test results showed that the 7 components were quenched simultaneously under the safe quenches and evenly shared the applied voltage. The SFCL successfully suppressed the fault currents below 94 $A_{peak}$ within the quarter cycle after fault.t.t.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the standard size system of Saenghwal Hanbok for design development and popularization. As a sample, 20's and 40's female data among the 1997's National Somatometry Survey data were used because two groups have different somatic characteristics and design tastes with each other. The results are as follows; From t-test of 35 somatometric items in 20's and 40's female data, we knew that the differentiated size system proper to each age is needed. We also knew that the 38 Saenghwal Hanbok brands don't have consistent size system from investigation of size list and size application. From consideration on the number of size for production and coverage rate, we suggested regression formula by bust circumference and stature, and suggested advanced standard size system which are proper to each 20' and 40' female group.

  • This paper treats the estimation of human impedance and their application to human-robot collaboration work. Initially, we perform an experiment at which the human becomes a slave and the robot behaves like a master having F/T sensor on its end. The human impedance expressed in terms of mass, damping, and stiffness properties are estimated based on the force data measured by F/T sensor and the commanded position data of the robot. To show the effectiveness of the estimated human impedance, we perform the second experiment at which the roles of the human and the robot are reversed. It is shown that the robot using the estimated human impedance follows the trajectory commanded by human very smoothly.

  • In this paper, floor impact noise reduction in a steel structure is studied. A mock-up is built by using 6t steel plate, and two identical cabins are made where 25t panel is used to construct wall and ceiling inside the steel structure. Various floating floor systems are tested for which normalized impact noise is measured according to ISO 140-7. In addition, floor SBN(Structure-borne Noise) and floor damping are measured to study the effect of floating floor. structure. It is shown that VL(Visco-elastic Layer) is more effective when hard plates are added above the VL.

  • One of the factors influences on microstructure of semi-solid product is forging pressure. Generally, the more forging pressure makes the more fine microstructure in semi-solid compression test. The microstructure and mechanical properties were investigated according to the forging pressure. The applied pressure is 110MPa, 140MPa and 170MPa, respectively. Heat treatment conditions also influence to the microstructure and mechanical properties of semi-solid product. T6 heat treatment was performed and the evaluation of microstructure and mechanical properties was investigated according to the aging time in T6 heat treatment.

  • X-선 회절 분석 및 적외선 투과율 측정은 실온에서 수행되었다. 또한 $Y_{1-x}$Nd$_{x}$Ba$_{2}$Cu$_{3}$O$_{7-y}$고온초전도체의 자기 임계전류밀도와 저항은 각각 30K와 80-140K 범위의 온도에서 조사되었다. 시료들은 고상 반응법에 의해서 제조되었다. 시료들의 결정구조는 X-선 회절무늬로 부터 모두 직방정계임이 판명되었다. 한편 x의 양이 증가함에 따라서 전이온도 T$_{c}$는 88K 근처의 값을 가지며 x의 양이 증가함에 따라 약간 감소하였다. 적외선 투과율 측정에서 날카로운 peak들은 472.23-618.87$cm^{-1}$ / 범위에 있었다. 이것은 특이할 정도로의 low-lying plasmalike edge와 낮은 에너지의 전자적인 여기가 존재함을 나타내는 것이다. 자기임계 전류밀도는 $10^{2}$~$10^{3}$A/$cm^{2}$ 범위에 있었다.있었다.
