  • The major components of IoT(Internet of Things) environment are IoT devices rather than the conventional desktop computers. One of the intrinsic characteristics of IoT devices is diversity in view of data type and data access method. In addition, IoT devices usually deal with real-time data. In order to use such IoT data for internal business or cloud services, an IoT platform capable of easy domain management and consistent data access interface is required. This paper proposes a Linux FUSE-based virtual file system connecting IoT devices on POSIX file system view. It is possible to manage IoT domain with the native Linux utilities such as mkdir, mknod, ls and find in the file system. Also, the file system makes it possible to access or control IoT devices through POSIX interface such as open(), read(), write() or close() without any separate APIs or utilities. A test result shows that the management performance of the file system is lower than that of linux file system negligibly.

  • The middleware in the IoT system is software that acts as a messenger to connect and exchange data between humans and objects, objects and objects. IoT middleware exists in various forms in all areas, including hardware, protocol, and communication of different kinds, which are different in form and purpose. However, IoT middleware exists in various forms across different areas, including hardware, protocol, and communication of different types and purposes. Therefore, even if the system is designed differently for each role, it is necessary to strengthen the security in common. In this paper, we analyze the structure of IoT middleware using Service Oriented Architecture(SOA) approach and design system security requirements based on it. It was defined: Target Of Evaluation(TOE) existing system development method and the object is evaluated by Common Criteria(CC) for verification based otherwise. The proposed middleware system will be correlated with the security problem definition and the security purpose, which will be the basis for implementing the security enhanced IoT system.

  • Due to the nature IoT Device (or Sensor) of the IoT System it may be susceptible (or attached) to our daily lives, so easy to direct physical access to IoT Device, which caused physical security is very weak. In this study, we implemented "Zero-Day Attack" on the ARMv7 Thumb Architecture as a direct target local system.

  • A loop duct system is often found in a VAV-HVAC(variable air volume heating, ventilating and air conditioning) design. It is known that the simple T-method is not be applicable to the loop duct system and cannot be used to calculate the flow rate and the pressure drop at each duct section of the loop duct system. In this paper, the extended T-method has been developed and it is found to be applicable to the loop duct system to which the simple T-method cannot be applied. The validity of the extended T-method has been verified by using to solve for a simple, ideal loop duct system for which there exists analytical solution. In addition, the extended T-method is employed to compute the loop duct system of a real building with an area of 380$m^2$. The results show that the computed flow rate at the exit differs from the designed flow rate by a range of -13.6~43.5 %. Consequently, three design factors must be adjusted in order that the flow rate may be balanced. These include the duct sizes, in terms of their lengths and diameters, the sub-duct locations and the positioning of damper which is found upstream of the exit duct.

  • The Internet of Things (IoT) is a form of the emerging 4th industry in the 5G era. IoT is expected to develop naturally in our daily life in the 5G era in which high-speed communication will be completed. Along with the rise of IoT, concerns about security and malicious attacks are also increasing. This paper examines DoS attacks, which are one of the representative security threats of IoT and proposes a local detection and blocking system that are suitable for response to such attacks. First, systems of the LoRaWAN type, which are most actively researched in the IoT system field and DoS attacks that can occur in such systems were examined. Then, the inverse order tree algorithm using regional characteristics was designed as a cluster analysis form. Finally, a system capable of defending denial-of-service attacks in the 5G IoT system using local detection and blocking with the Euclidean distance was designed.

  • The number of IoT devices is explosively increasing due to the development of embedded equipment and computer networks. As a result, cyber threats to IoT are increasing, and currently, malicious codes are being distributed and infected to IoT devices and exploited for DDoS. Currently, IoT devices that are the target of such an attack have various installation environments and have limited resources. In addition, IoT devices have a characteristic that once set up, the owner does not care about management. Because of this, IoT devices are becoming a blind spot for management that is easily infected with malicious codes. Because of these difficulties, the threat of malicious codes always exists in IoT devices, and when they are infected, responses are not properly made. In this paper, we will design an malware detection system for IoT in consideration of the characteristics of the IoT environment and present detection rules suitable for use in the system. Using this system, it will be possible to construct an IoT malware detection system inexpensively and efficiently without changing the structure of IoT devices that are already installed and exposed to cyber threats.

  • Recently, IoT technology is rapidly developing with the keyword "Anytime, Anywhere, Convenient". In addition, security problems in IoT systems are exploding and the damage is increasing as well. In this paper, we propose a method to develop IoT system safely by using internationally recognized CC evaluation in ICT by identifying the standardization and security technology development status defining IoT system security requirements. For this purpose, IoT system and service security aspects are analyzed. Based on this, it is possible to design the security functional requirements and to demonstrate the rationale of the security objective through the correspondence relation, and it is possible to design the protection profile for the IoT system. This is a sufficient basis for the development methodology to be presented in this paper because it is used as a means of referring to the set of security requirements of administrators, developers, and users.

  • A lot of research has been conducted on a system that collects and observes patients' health information in real time using Internet of Things (IoT) technology, and cares for and supports patients based on this. However, most studies have focused on underlying diseases such as diabetes or cardiovascular disease, and research on IoT systems to cope with respiratory infectious diseases such as COVID-19 is still insufficient. In a COVID-19 situation, the purpose of using an IoT respirator may vary depending on the user. In this paper, we design a system that can adequately cope with respiratory infectious diseases such as COVID-19 by applying IoT technology to respiratory protection. We categorize IoT respirator wearers into patients, medical staff, and self-quarantine persons, and define the purpose and use case of the IoT respirator system according to each classification. The proposed IoT respirator system was designed to achieve each purpose. We developed a prototype system consisting of a smart sensor, a communication module, and a non-motorized hooded respirator to show that the proposed IoT respirator system works.

  • This paper deals with a stochastic stabilization of observer-based output-feedback control Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy system with Markovian input delay. The finite Markovian process is adopted to model the input delay of the overall control system. It is assumed that the zero and hold devices are used for control input. The continuous-time T-S fuzzy system with the Markovian input delay is discretized for easy handling delay, accordingly, the discretized T-S fuzzy system is represented by a discrete-time T-S fuzzy system with jumping parameters. The stochastic stabilizability of the jump T-S fuzzy system is derived and formulated in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The usefulness of the proposed algorithm is also certificated by simulation of 2 degree of freedom helicopter model.

  • This paper shows that the solutions to nonlinear perturbed functional differential system $$y^{\prime}=f(t,y)+{\int}^t_{t_0}g(s,y(s),Ty(s))ds+h(t,y(t))$$ have the asymptotic property by imposing conditions on the perturbed part ${\int}^t_{t_0}g(s,y(s),Ty(s))ds,h(t,y(t))$ and on the fundamental matrix of the unperturbed system y' = f(t, y).
