HLA/RTI를 이용한 워게임 시뮬레이터와 통신 효과 시뮬레이터의 연동 시뮬레이션 연구 (Research of Interopaeration Simulation between War Game Simulator and Communication Effect Simulator using HLA/RTI)

  • Wargame simulators are widely used in the field of defence modeling and simulation. Because of increasing importance of communication effects on the warfare, the war game simulator is also required to reflect communication effects. One way to satisfy the requirement is the interoperation simulation between war game simulator and communication effect simulators. This paper shows the application of interoperation simulation between war game and communication effect simulators using HLA(High-Level Architecture)/RTI(RunTime Infrastructure). The war game simulator mainly deal with the engagement of troops and the troops communicate each other at the mission execution level. In the other hand, The communication effect simulator perform communication actions between the troops in the engineering level. Using the interoperation simulation, we can reflect the communication effects on the war game simulation. We show various applications of the interoperation simulation with the point of the war game and communication effect simulator. with a case study, we explain the interoperation simulation improves the reality and fidelity of the war game simulator and how the interoperation simulation can be applied to developing doctrines and real communication system.

Education System to Learn the Skills of Management Decision-Making by Using Business Simulator with Speech Recognition Technology

  • In this paper, we propose an educational system that involves a business game simulator and related curriculum. To develop these two elements, we examined the decision-making process related to business management and identified some significant skills thereby. In addition, we created an original simulator, named BizLator (http://bizlator.com), to help students develop these skills efficiently. Next, we developed a curriculum suitable for the simulator. We confirmed the effectiveness of the simulator and curriculum in a business-game-based class at Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo. On the basis of this, we compared our education system with a conventional system. This allowed us to identify advantages of and issues with our proposed system. Furthermore, we proposed a speech recognition support system named BizVoice in order to provide the teachers with more meaningful feedback, such as level of students' understanding. Concretely, BizVocie fetches students' speech of discussion during the game and converts the voice data to text data with speech recognition technology. Finally, teachers can grasp students' parameters of understanding, and thereby, the students also can take more effective class using BizLator. We also confirmed the effectiveness of the system in the class of Aoyama Gakuin Universiry.

  • This paper represents the construction of a PLC simulator for the level control of water and the speed control of the water cask. The level and speed processes are automatically operated by the PLC. The simulator system consists of PLC, program loader and control penal. The digital input and output units make the valves of the water cask the On or Off state. The analog input and output units control the level of water and the speed of the water cask. A LD program is used in the control language of PLC.

A Study on the Effective Downscaling Methodology for Design of a Micro Smart Grid Simulator

  • In this paper, a methodology was proposed to reduce the electrical level and spatial size of the smart grid with distributed generations (DGs) to a scale in which the electrical phenomena and control strategies for disturbances on the smart grid could be safely and freely experimented and observed. Based on the design methodology, a micro smart grid simulator with a substation transformer capacity of 190VA, voltage level of 19V, maximum breaking current of 20A and size of $2{\times}2m^2$ was designed by reducing the substation transformer capacity of 45MVA, voltage level of 23kV and area of $2{\times}2km^2$ of the smart grid to over one thousandth, and also reducing the maximum breaking current of 12kA of the smart grid to 1/600. It was verified that the proposed design methodology and designed micro smart grid simulator were very effective by identifying how all of the fault currents are limited to within the maximum breaking current of 20A, and by confirming that the maximum error between the fault currents obtained from the fault analysis method and the simulation method is within 1.8% through the EMTP-RV simulation results to the micro smart grid simulator model.

Experimental Evaluation of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System Software Based on the TMO Model

  • Over the past few decades, a considerable number of studies have been conducted on the technologies to build an UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) control system. Today, focus in research has moved from a standalone control system towards a network-centric control system for multiple UAV systems. Enabling the design of such complex systems in easily understandable forms that are amenable to rigorous analysis is a highly desirable goal. In this paper, we discuss our experimental evaluation of the Time-triggered Message-triggered Object (TMO) structuring scheme in the design of the UAV control system. The TMO scheme enables high-level structuring together with design-time guaranteeing of accurate timings of various critical control actions with significantly smaller efforts than those required when using lower-level structuring schemes based on direct programming of threads, UDP invocations, etc. Our system was validated by use of environment simulator developed based on an open source flight simulator named FlightGear. The TMO-structured UAV control software running on a small computing platform was easily connected to a simulator of the surroundings of the control system, i.e., the rest of the UAV and the flight environment. Positive experiences in both the TMO-structured design and the validation are discussed along with potentials for future expansion in this paper.

헬리콥터 시뮬레이터용 6자유도 전기식 운동구현장치의 개발 (Development of the 6-DOF Electrical Motion Platform System for Helicopter Simulator)

  • 민간항공안전국 등급 2를 만족하는 헬리콥터 시뮬레이터에 사용되는 6자유도 운동구현장치 개발에 관해 기술하였다. 운동판과 제어 구동장치의 기구학적 및 구조적 해석을 통해 설계 제작된 운동구현장치의 시험 평가로부터 규정에 만족하는 결과를 보였고 이로부터 실제 헬리콥터 시뮬레이터로의 적용 타당성을 확보하였다. 또한 동품의 개발 결과로 인해 그간 유압 구동체계를 사용한 운동구현장치의 단점을 전기식 구동장치 적용을 통해 새롭게 개선함과 동시에 국내 최초로 10 톤급의 적재하중 능력을 보유한 6자유도 운동구현장치를 보급하게 되는 계기를 마련하였다.

  • 본 연구는 새로이 개발된 3.3KV 4MW급의 3레벨 NPC구조의 전압형 대용량 인버터에 대한 것으로 Web 기반의 인버터 정보 관리 시스템(Inverter Information Management System)과 가상 운전 시뮬레이터가 부가된 것이다. 사용된 전동기 제어 알고리즘은 속도 센서 없이 동작 가능한 DTC(Direct Torque Control)기법으로 빠른 응답특성을 갖고 있다. IIMS는 운전상태 모니터링 및 Data 관리기능을 가지고 있으며 가상 운전시뮬레이터는 주 전원을 공급하지 않은 상태에서 시스템의 특성 검증 및 Tuning이 가능하다. 현재 이 제품은 신뢰성 검증을 위해 현장 시험 중에 있다.

  • 새로운 위성항법시스템들이 등장하면서 GNSS 위성항법수신기, 보강시스템, 통합항법시스템 분야 등 새로운 위성항법에 대응하기 위한 연구 개발이 많이 필요하게 되었다. 위성 항법 신호 생성과 전송 그리고 수신기 신호처리에 관련된 시뮬레이터의 개발은 새로운 위성항법에 대한 기술을 파악하고 핵심기술을 연구 개발할 수 있는 좋은 방법이다. 본 연구에서는 현재 구체적인 신호 규격이 결정되어 공개되어 있는 GPS와 Galileo 위성항법시스템의 시뮬레이터를 IF(intermediate frequency) 신호레벨에서 개발하였다.

A Study on the Regulation of Civil Flight Simulator

  • In Korea, the regulation is MOLIT Notice 2018-290, Guidance for Approval of Synthetic Flight Trainer as Flight Simulator and Flight Training Device. The FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) categorizes FSTD (Flight Simulation Training Device) into FFS (Full Flight Simulator) and FTD (Flight Training Device), according to its level. Additional categories for regulation are airplane and helicopter, depending on the type of aircraft. In this study, the objective tests for the handling quality of the FAA and Korean regulations were compared and analyzed. In QPS (Qualification Performance Standard), related test titles, flight conditions, and tolerance limits were analyzed for the handling quality. Based on this study, recommendations on amendments to the regulation was presented.

육군 훈련교육에서 시뮬레이터 시스템의 지각된 교육효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on Percepted Education Effectiveness of Simulator System in the Army Training Education)

  • The main objective of this study is to show how to measure the education effectiveness of simulator system in the army. We investigate the education effectiveness through the measuring model that consists of three dimensions such as understanding, experience, and learning. The results of empirical analysis demonstrate that the education effectiveness depends on three dimensions. The result also suggests that the higher the degree of each dimension is, the higher the education effectiveness. However, there is no education effectiveness difference between the traditional training and the simulator training because of the elementary level of simulator function.
