  • Ship Standard Network was submitted as a common subject of e-navigation by 81th IMO MSC 2005. This agenda was given an official status with strategy planning of e-navigation for Ship Standard Network after approval of WG program of 81th MSC 2006. Nowadays approximately 400 heterogeneous navigation and communication equipments are working on ships at sea. Standardization of ship network is to support exchanging various data efficiently. Among them, 4S network is defined as a wireless communication network between ship to ship and ship to shore which provides unceasing communication channel ship to shore. It has been expected to trigger various services and applications based on 4S network. However, no technologies and products has been appeared at fields yet. but now there's not specific technologies and developing products. In this paper, We developed a 4S multiple media switching server and a ship-land information exchange system to overcome the heterogeneity and provide efficient communication environments.. The performance of the implemented system was verified by TTA(Telecommunications Technology Association) V&V(Verification and Validation).

  • In the diagnostic process for automobile, Neuro-Fuzzy technique was compared with the conventional diagnostic method for the verification of performance, and proto-type system was developed. For the utilities of the system, 1/3 octave filter(band-pass filter) and A/D converter were used for data acquisition and then data were analyzed using octave band processing and pattern recognition using hamming network algorithm. In order to raise the reliability of the diagnostic results by considering many operating variables and condition of automobile to be diagnosed, fuzzy inference technique was applied in combining several information. The validation of this diagnostic system was examined through computer simulation and experiment, and it showed an acceptable performance for diagnostic process.

  • The switching system software is large scale, real-time multi-task system which requires high reliability. The reliability assessment of large-scale software is very important for the success of software development project. For this raeson, the software quality measurement is much more important. In this paper, we have learned about the software reliability, metho of the analysis of failure data and estimation of software quality. To estimate the software reliability, using the failure data found during of the system test. We apply the two software reliability growth models, named Goel-Okumoto(G-O) and S-shaped model, to estimate the software reliability. Also, we compared with the results and we reviewed fully not only development cycle but validation and verification of the test data, for each software versions. This paper presents a software reliability model that suitale the software development project and the activeity of quality control for the switching system.

  • KAERI has recently developed the nuclear design code MASTER for the application to reactor physics analyses for pressurized water reactors. Its neutronics model solves the space-time dependent neutron diffusion equations with the advanced nodal methods. The major calculation categories of MASTER consist of microscopic depletion, steady-state and transient solution, xenon dynamics, adjoint solution and pin power and burnup reconstruction. The MASTER validation analyses, which are in progress aiming to submit the Uncertainty Topical Report to KINS in the first half of 1996, include global reactivity calculations and detailed pin-by-pin power distributions as well as in-core detector reaction rate calculations. The objective of this paper is to give an overall description of the CASMO/MASTER code system whose verification results are in details presented in the separate papers.

  • The potential value of the Application Specific Integrated Circuits(ASIC's) in safety systems of Nuclear Power Plants(NPP's) is being increasingly recognized because they are essentially hardwired circuitry on a chip, the reliability of the system can be proved more easily than that of software based systems which is difficult in point of software V&V(Verification and Validation). There are two types of ASIC, one is a full customized type, the other is a half customized type. PLD(Programmable Logic Device) used in this paper is a half customized ASIC which is a device consisting of blocks of logic connected with programmable interconnections that are customized in the package by end users. This paper describes the RPS(Reactor Protection System) composed of ASICs which provides emergency shutdown of the reactor to protect the core and the pressure boundary of RCS(Reactor Coolant System) in NPP's. The RPS is largely composed of five logic blocks, each of them was implemented in one PLD, as the followings. A). Bistable Logic B). Matrix Logic C).Initiation Logic D). MMI(Man Machine Interface) Logic E). Test Logic.

  • A scale model of power tiller-trailer system with the same kinematic characteristics was constructed one eighth of the actual size to validate the effectiveness of mathematical model of motion. The parameters for the scale model of power tiller-trailer system were measured by a series of laboratory experiments. Validation tests for the: scale model was conducted under several ground and operating conditions. The tests were performed on artificial ground surfaces with several kind, of slope and obstacle. The travel path of the scale model was photographed successively in three directions. The travel paths obtained from both the film analysis and the simulation model appeared to be consistent with each other. It was concluded that the simulation model could be used to predict the motion of actual power tiller-trailer system if the parameters for actual power tiller and trailer are provided.

  • 본 논문에서는 Safety-critical 소프트웨어를 위한 V'||'&'||'V 지침서(guideline) 개발 방법론을 제시한다. 즉, 기존의 산업계 표준인 IEEE Std-1012, IEEE Std-1059에서 논의되고 있는 개념을 근간으로 "독립성(independence)", "소프트웨어 안전성 분석(software safety analysis)", "COTS 평가(evaluation) 기준", "다른 보증(assurance) 조직들간의 관련성(relationship)" 등의 필수 안전 항목들을 추가하여 원전 안전성 시스템(NPP safety system)을 위한 V'||'&'||'V 지침서 개발 방법론을 제시하였다 제시된 방법론에는 V'||'&'||'V 지침서의 범위(scope), 승인기준(acceptance criteria) 부분인 지침서 프레임(guideline framework), V'||'&'||'V activities 및 methods 부분인 타스크(task) entrance 및 exit 기준(criteria), 리뷰 및 감사(review and audit), 테스팅 그리고 V'||'&'||'V material의 QA 레코드(records) 및 형상관리, 소프트웨어 검증 및 확인 계획서(Software Verification and Validation Plan : SVVP) 생성 등의 내용을 기술하고, Safety-critical 소프트웨어 V'||'&'||'V 방법론도 함께 제시하였다.

  • 계량데이터 관리 시스템은 수용가에서 검침된 계량데이터를 수집하고 관리하는 시스템이다. 이 시스템에는 검침된 데이터의 오검침과 유효성을 판단하는 검증과 누락된 검침값이나 오검침으로 판단된 구간값을 추정하는 VEE 알고리즘이 있다. 그러나 기존의 VEE 알고리즘은 현장 데이터의 특성을 반영하지 않고 검증하고 추정하기 때문에 그만큼 신뢰성과 정확도가 낮아지는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 검증 신뢰성과 추정 정확도를 향상시킬 수 있는 차세대 VEE 알고리즘을 제안한다.

AMS 그래픽 시뮬레이션을 위한 애니메이터 개발에 관한 연구

  • 본 논문에서는 자동화 제조시스템(Automated Manufacturing System, AMS)의 시뮬레이션 분석을 위한 그래픽 애니메이션 S/W(or 애니메이터)의 개발 방법을 제시하고 있다. AMS의 설계 및 분석을 위한 많은 방법들 중에서 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션이 가장 적합한 방법으로 여겨지고 있으며, 그래픽 애니메이션은 시뮬레이션 모델의 검증(verification)과 타당성 평가(validation), FA 기술자와의 의사전달, 시뮬레이션 결과의 발표자료 등으로 시뮬레이션 수행과정에서 필수적인 도구로 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서 제시된 애니메이터는 대상 AMS의 3차원 layout을 생성하는 기능과 시뮬레이션 프로그램에 의해 생성된 "trace file"을 입력으로 하여 시뮬레이션 진행 과정을 "playback type"으로 애니메이션 하는 기능을 가지고 있다. 본 논문의 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 애니메이션 특성에 따라 AMS 구성 설비들과 작업물을 분류하였고, 2) 애니메이터 시스템의 구조(architecture)를 제시하였고, 3) C++과 GL을 이용하여 애니메이터를 구현하였고, 4) 자동창고 시뮬레이션에 개발된 애니메이터를 적용하여 보았다.개발된 애니메이터를 적용하여 보았다.

  • Sidewall curl is the curvature that results from non-uniform through-thickness strain present in the sheet stamping process which involves material flow over a die radius. In order to understand and control curl for tight fit-up tolerances, an analytical model that can provide a reliable measure for the amount of curl would be very helpful. In this study, a model is developed based on the moment-curvature relationship during bending-under-tension operations. For the verification of analytical model, sidewall curl is experimentally measured after deformation of a strip using a bending-under-tension test system. The results show a consistent relationship between the theoretically predicted value and the experimentally obtained one, especially in regions of high curl.
