Process failures can occur at any time during operation, so a continuous effort of fault detection, diagsis, and correction is required. Expert system paridigm has been regarded as a promising approach to real time process supervisory control especially to fault diagnosis. The most important aspects of fault diagnostic expert systems(FDES) are the problem-solving inference strategy and knowledge organizations. The necessity of FDES, the nature of diagnostic knowledge, the representation of knowledge, and the inference mechanism of FDES, et al. are described, which are announced by previous researchers. And the existing FDES are categorized and critically reviewed in this work.

The energy concept has been applied to the reported experimental results of six different structural steel connections to investigate the characteristics of system-dependent energy curve and energy absorption efficiency. For this the concept o( static and kinematic energy absorption efficiency has been defined. The present paper closes with the implication of the necessity of further investigation to extend the energy concept to reach the engineering practice.

Speech DB is basically required factor when we are study for phonetics, speech recognition and speech synthesis and so on. The quantity and quality of speech DB decide the efficiency of system that we develop. therefore. speech DB has an extremely important factor, Recently, development of the various telephone service technique such as voice portal. it is actual condition where the necessity of collection of telephone speech DB. The existing IVR application telephone speech DB collection system used C/C++ language or the exclusive development tool. Thus it is the actual condition where the recycle of each application service for resources is difficult and have a problem of many labors and time necessity. But. VoiceXML is a language having tag form ipredicated in XML. which has easy and simple grammar system. Therefore, if we make a few efforts we could draw up easily. it has a merit reducing labors and time, Also, VoiceXML has many advantages of various telephone speech DB gathering because of changing contents of DB. In this paper, we introduce telephone speech DB gathering system which is the mast important factor for development of speech information processing technique.

Purpose : The purpose of this study is to investigate the actual condition and recognition about social service activity(SSA) of nurses. Methods : This is a descriptive study. The data were collected by a structured questionare from July 15 to 31, 2002. The questionares were sent to 711 nurses of 38 hospitals, and 664 cases were returned. The answer rate is 93.4%. The data were analyzed by SPSS 11.0. Results : 1. 71.0% nurses had a SSA experience during university, but only 14.2% nurses are participated in SSA now. 2. In the case of having an experience, 56.0% nurses participated in SSA under 1 year, 69.5% nurses didn't support the service costs. 3. In the case of not having experience, the main reason why they didn't participate in is to lack of opportunity. 4. 91.1% nurses recognize the necessity of SSA and 99.5% nurses agree with the necessity of operation system. 82.9% nurses approve the cooperation system among the regions. 87.2% nurses have an intension to participate in SSA when the cooperation system is set up. Conclusion : It need to set up the social service operating system among the regions, and encourage nurse to participate in the SSA.

This study examines the background and necessity of the product certification (KS) and the system authentication (ISO 9000), and their characteristic so as to compare and analyze the possibility of interaction of product certification and system authentication. It tries to suggest an efficient operation system as an integrated management system and analyzes the certification case of K, a manufacturer of kitchen utensils. We believe that the study will help companies minimize their expenses and efforts to establish, operate, and maintain the corporate standard system. In addition, to effectively achieve our goal, we have also made a study of both literature and case and suggested technical guidance to get integrated management system certification. By these methods, we analyzed the effects and problems that come with the introduction and application of the integrated system of product certification and system authentication in order to set up a system to fit to the mechanism of Korean companies. Moreover, we have suggested the model of integrated operation and the benefits that come after acquiring certification.

Recently, as the renewable distributed energy resources has increased, the variability within the electrical power distribution system has increased, so that there is a growing concern about the stable electrical power distribution system. For efficient management of future electrical power distribution system, it is necessary to improve the electrical power distribution system operation using new visualization technology. In this paper, we describe the current status of GIS introduction and related technology trends in the field of electrical power distribution, and analyze the necessity of GIS system for electrical power distribution system operation and problems to be solved when introducing GIS technology.

The strengthened regulations for atmospheric emissions from ships like MARPOL Annex VI have caused a necessity of new, alternative power system in ships for the low pollutant emissions and the high energy efficiency. This paper attempts to investigate the configuration of SOFC/GT hybrid power system for LNG tanker taking into account the safety and to analyze the influence of design parameters on the system performance. The simulation results provide the basic data for the design and efficiency improvement of SOFC/GT hybrid system and indicate the guidelines for the safe system operation.

By successful establishment of Supply Chain Management System they should make the supply chains speedy and combine production information system with the outcome system and thus they reinforce the competition of the production system of local enterprises in accordance with the rapid decision making. Supply chain coordination improves if all supplier of chain take actions that together increase total supply chain profits. To design of Modularity by the grouping supplier, the proposed method is to develop the most appropriate production system models through the reflection of JIT system in the Supply Chain Management which is necessity of the times and its importance. The objects of this study is to develop the most appropriate production system Model and optimal profit model in the process line and to provide the enterprises with the models which are based on the Supply Chain Management.
