  • In this paper, a method for implementing software for the control system with dual structure in processor module is proposed and implemented to enhance its reliability. In this implementation the multi-tasking function which is provided by a real-time operating system is applied. The overall softwre is divided into five tasks and is performed in each of the dual processor module, independently. By this, the processor module with dual structure can achieve a control objective and fault diagnostics effectively. An experimental result shows that the backup processor module can be substituted for the primary processor module immediately when it happens to fail, because data relating the failure information are exchanged continuously done via shared memories.

  • The context-awareness has become the one of core technologies and the indispensable function. for application services in ubiquitous computing environment. In this research, we incorporated the capability of context-awareness in a music recommendation system. Our proposed system consists of such components as Intention Module, Mood Module and Recommendation Module. Among these modules, the Intention Module infers whether a user wants to listen to the music or not from the environmental context information. We built the Intention Module using data mining techniques such as decision tree, support vector machine and case-based reasoning. The results showed that the case-based reasoning model outperformed the other models and its accuracy was 84.1%.

  • A general procedure for motion capture and mimic system has been delineated. Utilizing sensors operated in the magnetic fields, complicated and optimized movements are easily digitized to analyze and reproduce. The system consists of a motion capture module, a motion visualization module, a motion plan module, a motion mimic module, and a GUI module. Design concepts of the system are modular, open, and user friendly to ensure the overall system performance. This procedure is being implemented on a virtual cyber cube. and an inverted pendulum. With modifications, this procedure can applied for complicated motion controls.

  • It is necessary to measure the solar cell parameter fur understanding characteristic of solar cell and applying to many other fields. Since photovoltaic system consists of solar cell module, which are connected each other in series and parallel, it is not proper to apply a solar cell parameter to photovoltaic system. Therefore, to estimate the solar tell module and to solve the problem of the established algorithm is on demand. In this paper the authors have improved the accuracy of solar cell module Parameter estimation by compensating series and Parallel resistance, and developed a new parameter estimation algorithm, which can be applied to photovoltaic system without high cost measuring equipment. And the validity of proposed algorithm is verified by the simulation and experimentation.

전자수치지도를 이용한 배차지원시스템 개발 및 활용 (Development and Application of a Vehicle Routing Supporting System using Digital Map)

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop a vehicle routing supporting system with various restrictions using a digital map. The position data and the distance data are obtained from the digital map. The system is composed of input module, execution module, output module. In the input module, we can select options, which correspond to various restrictions and criteria for the vehicle routing problem to be solved. The execution module solves the selected problem in a relatively short time and suggest a good heuristic solution to the dispatcher, and also allows the dispatcher to easily modify the solution. The vehicle routes are displayed on the digital map. The application and the effectiveness of the system were shown through two case studies.

수상태양광발전시스템의 출력 특성 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of the Output Characteristics of the Floating Photovoltaic System)

  • In this paper, the effects of environmental variables on the output of the floating photovoltaic water systems, which were installed at the Hapcheon dam in South Korea, were investigated, and the correlations between them were analyzed. The system output was linearly proportional to the solar radiation or irradiance. The output was large in spring and autumn because of high irradiance, but low in the summer when the solar module temperature was high. The influence of the module temperature on the system output was limited in the summer, during which the module temperature change affected the system output more than the change of the irradiance did. In addition, in winter and summer, the module temperature tended to decrease with increasing windspeed, but windspeed did not affect module temperature significantly in the spring and autumn. On the other hand, in winter and spring, the irradiance decreased as the windspeed increased because of movement (or circulation) of the photovoltaic modules.

  • 디지털 위성방송 시스템은 송신국, 자원 및 가입자 관리 시스템, 수신기로 구성된다. 자원 및 가입자 관리 시스템은 자원 관리 모듈, 사용자 인터페이스 모듈, 송신국 인터페이스 모듈, 수신기인터페이스 모듈, 가입자 판매 모듈, 감시 및 제어 모듈로 구성이 된다. 본 논문에서는 클라이언트/서버를 기반으로 한 디지털 위성 방송 시스템에서 효율적 인 자원 및 가업자 관리를 위한 새로운 RRMC 알고리즘을 제안하고 이를 통한 시스템의 실시간적인 감시 및 제어 기능 구현에 관하여 기술하였으며 또한 자원 및 가입자 관리 시스템과 다른 장비와의 통신 절차에 대해서도 함께 기술하였다.

열전모듈을 이용한 에어컨의 방열부 냉각특성에 대한 연구 (Cooling Characteristics at Hot Side of the Thermoelectric Module for an Air Conditioner)

  • A small air conditioner using thermoelectric module has been designed and built. Three types of cooling methods, such as air cooling, closed-loop water cooling, and evaporative cooling, for hot side of thermoelectric module have been investigated. Among three types of cooling method, the evaporative cooling method is seen to be the most effective to achieve the steady state operation of a thermoelectric air conditioner The system performance with evaporative cooling method are also studied in detail for several oprating parameters, such as input power to the thermoelectric module, water or air flow rate at the hot side, and air flow rate at the cold side. The results obtained indicate that the cooling capacity of a system is increased with an increase in the input power to the thermoelectric module while the system COP is decreased. It is also found that the optimal air flow rate as well as water flow rate at the hot side is needed for the best system performance at a liven operating condition. Both the system COP and cooling capacity are increased as the air flow rate at cold side is increased.

조이스틱 및 음성인식 겸용 이동기제어시스템 개발 (Development of Joystick & Speech Recognition Moving Machine Control System)

  • 본 논문은 실시간 음성인식명령으로 구동되는 지능형 이동기제어시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 이동기제어시스템은 메인모듈, 음성인식모듈, 모터구동모듈, 센서모듈로 구성된다. 80C196KC로 구현된 메인모듈에서 퍼지논리가 적용된 지능형 제어시스템을 제안한다. 사용자의 몸무게 및 여러 가지 주변 환경요인들에 의한 비선형성을 개선하기 위해서 피드백제어가 가능한 모터구동모듈과 센서모듈이 구현된다. 또한 제안된 시스템에서 이동로봇의 제어를 위한 9개의 단어를 사용하여 동작을 테스트하였고, 제어입력으로 음성명령과 조이스틱 사용 시 이동로봇의 성능을 평가하였다.

  • This paper describes interactive computer procedures for design the forming sequences in cold forging. This system is implemented on the personal computer and its environment is a commercial AutoCAD system. The programming language. AutoLISP, was used for the configuration of the system. Since the process of metal forming can be considered as a transformation of geometry, treatment of the geometry of the part is a key in process planning. To recognize the part section geometry, the section entity representation, the section coordinate-redius representation and the section primitive geometru were adopted. This system includes six major modules such as input module, forging design module, forming sequence design module, die design module, FEM verification module and output module which are used independently or in all. The sequence drawing wigh all dimensions, which includes the dimensional tolerances and the proper sequence of operations, can generate under the environment of AutoCAD. The acceptable forming sequences can be verified further, using the FE simulation.
