HOG-PCA기반 pRBFNNs 패턴분류기를 이용한 보행자 검출 시스템의 설계 및 구현 (Design & Implementation of Pedestrian Detection System Using HOG-PCA Based pRBFNNs Pattern Classifier)

  • In this study, we introduce the pedestrian detection system by using the feature of HOG-PCA and RBFNNs pattern classifier. HOG(Histogram of Oriented Gradient) feature is extracted from input image to identify and recognize a object. And a dimension is reduced for improving performance as well as processing speed by using PCA which is a typical dimensional reduction algorithm. So, the feature of HOG-PCA through the dimensional reduction by using PCA leads to the improvement of the detection rate. FCM clustering algorithm is used instead of gaussian function to apply the characteristic of input data as well and connection weight is used by polynomial expression such as constant, linear, quadratic and modified quadratic. Finally, INRIA person database known as one of the benchmark dataset used for pedestrian detection is applied for the performance evaluation of the proposed classifier. The experimental result of the proposed classifier are compared with those studied by Dalal.

Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis at Inner Forearms of the Human Body using Bioelectrical Impedance Measurement System

  • The bioelectrical impedance (BI) at the inner forearms was measured using bioelectrical impedance measurement system (BIMS), which employs the multi-frequency and the two-electrode method. Experiments were performed as follows. First, while applying a constant alternating current of 800A to the inner region of the forearms, BI (Z) was measured at nineteen frequencies ranging from 5 to 500 kHz. The prediction marker (PM) was calculated for right and left forearm. The resistance (R) and the reactance (Xc) were simultaneously measured during impedance measurement. Second, a Cole-Cole plot (relationship between reactance and resistance) was obtained for left and right forearm, indicating the different characteristic frequencies (fc). Third, the phase angle was obtained, indicating strong dependence on the applied frequency.

  • 현재 점차적으로 보급되어지고 있는 자동렌즈메타를 국산화하기 위해 저자들은 수 년 전부터 자동렌즈메타를 연구해왔으며, 소형이면서 값이 저렴한 "PC를 이용한 자동렌즈메타"를 개발하였다. 자동렌즈메타에서 가장 중요한 광소자의 원리와 렌즈의 굴절력을 측정하는 광학적 원리를 소개하였고, LED 광원세트와 광소자회로 제작에 대해 설명하였으며, 제작한 자동렌즈메타를 이용하여 렌즈의 굴절력에 따른 PSD의 변위를 측정하였고, 그 결과 자동렌즈메타의 굴절력상수가 약 30Diopter/mm 임을 알았다.

  • To improve the acoustic performance of sound absorbing materials, the thickness of the material should be increased or the sound absorbing material having an irregular surface shape should be used. In this study, the acoustic characteristics and methods to improve the acoustic performance of a sound absorbing system equipped with double layered polyester sound absorbing materials were investigated. The numerical model was set up and the results obtained from the model were compared with the actual measurement data. And, strategies to improve the acoustic performance of sound absorbing systems with double layered sound absorbing materials made of polyester with different configuration were shown. So, this study is expected to be usefully used at sites that require high acoustic absorption performance with minimal installation thickness to reduce sounds reflection in narrow spaces such as interior of subway tunnels or in noise barriers installed adjacent to rails.

  • This paper presented a new experimental gain tuning technique for a Multi-Axis Servo System. First, the investigation for proportional gain of velocity control loop by using a Dynamic Signal Analyzer (DSA) was performed. Using the FUNCTION characteristic of DSA based on the Bode plot, the Bode plot of open loop transfer function was obtained. In turn, the integral gain of a servo controller can be found out by using the Integration time constant extracted from the Bode plot of open loop transfer function. In the meanwhile, the positional gain of the servo controller has been obtained by using the Bode plot of the closed loop transfer function. We have also proposed the technique to find out an optimal parameter of a notch filter, which has a great influence on vibration reduction, by using the damping factor extracted from the Bode plot of closed loop transfer function.

119구급대원의 저혈당 환자에 대한 병원 전 응급처치현황과 개선방안 (Prehospital Treatments of the Patient with Hypoglycemia by 119 Emergency Medical Technicians - Analysis of the Current Data and Survey -)

  • This study was intended to analyze the clinical characteristic of the patient with hypoglycemia and the status of prehospital treatments by 119 emergency medical technicians well as the cause of inappropriate emergency treatment by 119 emergency medical technicians in a bid to seek the measures for improvement, thereby enhancing the emergency medical services before medical treatment at hospital. Examination of the daily work log on 430 patients suffering with hypoglycemia who were sent to the university hospital in Gyunggi-Province by 119 emergency medical technicians, beginning on Jan 1, 2004 till Dec 31. 2008 was carried out and the survey of 206 119 emergency medical technicians working at the region of Gyunggid-Province was conducted from Sep 19 through Oct 6, 2009. Evaluation of the frequency and percentage and ANOVA analysis using SPSS WIN 14.0 program was carried out. In view of the examination of daily emergency work log and questionnaire, prehospital treatment for the patients with hypoglycemia needs to be further improved in general, and to provide the emergency treatment in accurate and timely manner, improvement of the system such as assignment of licensed rescue members and development of protocol that will replace the medical consultant system, mandatory emergency treatment, constant and efficient training and maintenance of emergency rescue records shall be implemented, and furthermore, social recognition to 119 emergency medical technicians shall be improved to encourage them to perform more positive way and manner.

지역난방 아파트에 대한 난방에너지 실측 및 시뮬레이션 (Measurement and Simulation of Heating Energy for Apartments with District Heating)

  • Heating energy was measured in an apartment housing unit with a district heating system, varying the kind of hot water distributors. Ondol coils passing through a living room raised the temperature of the room where the heating was turned off. Including this characteristic of Ondol heating into the modeling, we performed simulations and showed a verification by comparison with the results of measurements. As a result, a main flow control method, which changes hot water flow rate supplied to a housing unit according to the thermal load, can reduce the supplied flow rate and lower the return temperature, compared with a constant flow method. That can result in decreased heat loss in utility-pipe conduits even though the heating energy supplied is almost the same. An outdoor reset control that raises the temperature of the supplied hot water if the outdoor temperature falls has the effect of a quicker response in heating than the reduced flow rate and return temperature.

  • 본 논문에서는 밀리미터파 대역의 전파천문 관측용 수신시스템의 안정된 동작을 확보하기 위한 국부발진시스템을 제안하였다. 제안된 국부발진시스템은 $26.5\~40GHz$를 발진하는 YIG 발진기를 VCO로 하여 개발하였다. 이러한 국부발진 시스템은 YIG VCO, 고조파 믹서, 및 아이솔레이터 등을 포함한 발진부, triplexer, limiter, 및 RF 판별 기능 등을 포함하는 RF 프로세싱 부분과 YIG PLL을 위한 모듈과 제어기를 포함한 PLL 시스템으로 구성하여 설계, 개발하였다. 본 연구에서는 개발된 국부 발진시스템의 안정성을 확인하기위해서 온도변화에 따른 출력 주파수와 전력 안정도를 측정하였다. 이러한 실험결과로부터 개발된 국부발진시스템은 일정한 온도에서는 매우 안정된 출력 주파수와 전력특성이 확보됨을 확인하였다.

온도 변화를 고려한 압축 벤토나이트 완충재의 함수특성곡선 모델 평가 (An Evaluation of Soil-Water Characteristic Curve Model for Compacted Bentonite Considering Temperature Variation)

  • 심층 처분 방식은 고준위폐기물을 처분하기 위한 가장 적합한 대안으로 고려되어지고 있다. 고준위폐기물은 공학적방벽시스템에 의해 지하 500~1,000m 깊이의 암반층에 처분된다. 공학적방벽시스템의 구성 요소로는 처분용기, 완충재, 뒷채움재 및 갭채움재가 있다. 이 중 벤토나이트 완충재는 지하수 유입으로부터 처분용기를 보호하고, 방사성 핵종 유출을 저지하는 역할을 하기에 심층 처분시스템에 있어 매우 중요하다고 할 수 있다. 초기에는 처분용기로부터 발생하는 고온의 열량으로 인해 완충재의 포화도는 감소하지만, 그 후 주변 암반으로부터 유입되는 지하수로 인해 완충재의 포화도는 증가한다. 이렇듯 완충재의 불포화 거동 특성은 공학적방벽의 전체 안전성을 좌우할 수 있는 중요한 입력자료이다. 국내의 경우 경주에서 생산되는 벤토나이트가 완충재의 주요 후보물질로 고려될 수 있는데 국내 벤토나이트 완충재의 온도를 고려한 불포화 거동 특성에 대한 연구는 매우 미진한 상황이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 국내 압축 벤토나이트 완충재의 온도 증가에 따라 함수비가 일정한 조건에서의 함수특성곡선을 도출하였으며, 시험 값과 온도가 고려된 수정 van-Genuchten 모델 값과의 상대오차는 약 2%를 나타냈다.

원형관속을 유동하는 점탄성 유체의 입구 영역 열전달 특성에 관한 연구 (The heat transfer characteristics of viscoelastic non-newtonian fluids in the entrance region of circular tube flows)

  • 본 연구에서는 해석적으로 열적 입구 길이를 규명하는데 필요한 와류 열확산 계수를 실험 결과를 이용하여 결정하고, 시험관 입구의 형상 변화가 열전달 특성에 미치는 영향을 실험적으로 결정하며, 열적 입구 길이 영역에서 국소 열전달 계수를 표시할 수 있는 실험식을 제시하고, 유체의 전단율에 따른 점성 계수의 실험 결과와 점탄성 유체의 특성시간을 이용한 새로운 무차원 수인 Weissenberg수를 결정하여 퇴화 현상을 분석하고저 한다.
