열부하 및 회생 제동 특성을 고려한 경형 친환경차의 제동시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Development of Brake System of Light Eco-Friendly Car Considering Heat Load and Regenerative Braking Characteristic)

  • Recently, there is a big issue of downsizing on brake system according to fuel efficiency and regenerative braking cooperation control. Especially, small cars have improved in a variety ways such as electric vehicle and smart car compared to previous small cars. So, small brake system is strongly required in the car industry. A new small brake system for light compact vehicles was proposed in this paper. For this system, the solid type disc and caliper were newly developed. And the important design factors were considered to reduce brake size. First, we calculated the temperature rise of disc through heat capacity formula and CAE analysis. Second, we analyzed the housing and carrier stiffness of caliper to select the reasonable condition. Finally, the superiorities of the developed brake system were verified by heat capacity, consumption liquid level, braking feeling, judder, wear test and regenerative braking cooperation control analysis. A developed brake system is expected to be useful for brake system of light compact platform.

Interference-Limited Dynamic Resource Management for an Integrated Satellite/Terrestrial System

  • An integrated multi-beam satellite and multi-cell terrestrial system is an attractive means for highly efficient communication due to the fact that the two components (satellite and terrestrial) make the most of each other's resources. In this paper, a terrestrial component reuses a satellite's resources under the control of the satellite's network management system. This allows the resource allocation for the satellite and terrestrial components to be coordinated to optimize spectral efficiency and increase overall system capacity. In such a system, the satellite resources reused in the terrestrial component may bring about severe interference, which is one of the main factors affecting system capacity. Under this consideration, the objective of this paper is to achieve an optimized resource allocation in both components in such a way as to minimize any resulting inter-component interference. The objective of the proposed scheme is to mitigate this inter-component interference by optimizing the total transmission power - the result of which can lead to an increase in capacity. The simulation results in this paper illustrate that the proposed scheme affords a more energy-efficient system to be implemented, compared to a conventional power management scheme, by allocating the bandwidth uniformly regardless of the amount of interference or traffic demand.

시험선로 결빙방지를 위한 융설시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on Snow Melting System for the Anti-freezing Testing Road)

  • The snow melting system by electric heating wires which is adopted in this study is a part of road facilities to keep surface temperature of the road higher than freezing point of water for melting the snow accumulated on it. The system is designed to increase traffic safety and capacity. The electric heating wires are buried under paved road at a certain depth and operated automatically and manually. Design theory, amount of heating, and installation standard vary according to economic situation, weather condition, and installation place where the system applies. It is tried to figure out that the appropriate range of required heat capacity and installation depth and intervals for solving snowdrifts and freezing problems with the minimum electric power consumption. The most important factors to design the system are calculation of heating capacity depending on weather condition and depth and interval of the electric heating wires depending on air condition respectively. The study were performed under the range of the air temperatures($-2^{\circ}C,\;-5^{\circ}C,\;-8^{\circ}C$), the intervals of the electric heating wires(70mm, 100mm, 125mm), and the installation depths(50mm, 70mm, 100mm). The ready made commercial program package was used to verify the experimental results.

비선형 정적해석을 통한 횡저항 시스템의 보유성능 평가 및 설계방안 연구 (Design of Lateral Load Resisting System using Nonlinear Static Analysis)

  • 횡저항 시스템의 설계는 구조 엔지니어의 경험과 노하우에 의존하는 경향이 크다. 또한 건물의 보유성능을 평가하여 설계과정에 적절히 반영할 수 있는 방법이 제시되어있지 않다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 구조물이 실제 보유하고 있는 유효보유성능(available full capacity, $R_{ac}$)과 설계기준에서 제시하고 있는 요구보유성능(minimum required capacity, $R_{code}$)에 의해 건물의 횡저항 시스템을 합리적으로 설계하는 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 제안 방법은 기존 구조 설계과정에 비선형 해석에 의한 횡저항 성능 평가가 추가된 것으로, 우선 기본 설계를 마친 후, 푸쉬오버(pushover)해석을 통해 구조물의 실제 횡저항 성능을 평가한다. 비선형 평가단계에서는 푸쉬오버(pushover) 해석을 수행하고 이선형화를 통해 항복밑면전단력$(V_Y)$을 결정한다. 그리고 설계풍밑면전단력$(V_{wind})$이 설계지진밑면전단력$(V_D)$보다 큰 경우 항복밑면전단력보다 설계풍밑면전단력이 작은 값임을 확인한 후에, 구조물이 보유한 $R_{ac}$를 산정한다. 설계지진밑면전단력이 큰 경우에는 바로 유효보유성능을 산정하고 이 유효 보유성능$(R_{ac})$이 요구보유성능$(R_{code})$에 근접하도록 피드백 과정을 통하여 부재를 재설계한다. 본 논문에서는 간단한 2차원 철골 가새가 설치된 철근콘크리트 구조를 이용하여 두 가지 경우에 대하여 제안한 합리적인 횡저항 시스템의 설계를 적용하였다. 그 결과 기본설계와 비선형 정적해석의 피드백 과정의 반복을 통하여 요구보유 성능에 근접한 유효보유성능을 갖는 횡저항 시스템을 설계하는 것이 가능하였다.

  • Long term capacity expansion planning has to be carried out to satisfy pre-defined system reliability criterion. For purpose of assessing system reliability, probabilistic simulation technique has been widely adopted. However, the way how to approximate generator outage, especially maintenance outage, in probabilistic simulation scheme can significantly influence on reliability assessment. Therefore, in this paper, 3 different maintenance approximation methods are applied to investigate the quantitative impact of maintenance approximation method on long term capacity expansion planning.

냉각된 복사천장패널의 열전달 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Heat Transfer Characteristics of the Radiant Chilled Ceiling Panel for Space Cooling)

  • There is a chilled ceiling panel which carries out the air conditioning by radiation and convection between the room and cold ceiling panel surface. In order to verify heat transfer characteristics between them in cooling system with radiant chilled ceiling panel, analytical and experimental studies were performed for various design and operating parameters such as tube space and diameter, inlet water temperature, mass flow rate, cooling load, and so on. In this study, we found that the tube space and inlet water temperature were more important elements than the tube diameter and water flow rate for the performance of radiant chilled ceiling panel. The cooling capacity of the radiant chilled ceiling panel had the maximum value of $65W/m^{2}$ because the highest cooling capacity was limited by the condensation on the panel surface. The results of comparison between numerical analysis and experiment showed a resonable agreement qualitatively, especially for low cooling capacity.

On the Capacities of Spectrum-Sharing Systems with Transmit Diversity

  • Motivated by recent works on spectrum-sharing systems, this paper investigates the effects of transmit diversity on the peak interference power limited cognitive radio(CR) networks. In particular, we derive the ergodic and outage capacities of a spectrum-sharing system with multiple transmit-antennas. To derive the capacities, peak interference power constraint is imposed to protect the primary receiver. In a CR transmitter and receiver pair with multiple antennas at the transmitter side, the allowable transmit power is distributed over the transmit-antennas to achieve transmit diversity at the receiver. We investigate the effect of this power distribution when a peak interference power constraint is imposed to protect the primary receiver. We show that the transmit diversity does not improve the ergodic capacity compared to the single-antenna system. On the other hand, the transmit diversity significantly improves the outage capacity. For example, two transmit-antennas improve the outage capacity 10 times compared to the single-antenna with a 0 dB interference constraint.

경제성 분석을 통한 산업용 수용가의 ESS 설치 용량 산정 (Calculation of ESS Capacity of Industrial Customer through Economic Analysis)

  • In this paper, ESS capacity installed in industrial customer is calculated using economic analysis. To do this, electric charge for industrial customer is analyzed and power management system(PMS) of ESS is selected. Reduction of kW cost and kWh cost are set to 'benefit' according to operation of ESS. Also, installation cost and maintenance cost of ESS are set to 'cost'. Proper ESS capacity is determined as a result of benefit-to-cost(B/C) analysis according to the variation of ESS installation cost. In case study, B/C is analyzed for the specific industrial customer and minimum capacity of ESS to make a profit are proposed for the customer.

오스템퍼링 처리한 구상흑연주철의 기계적 성질 및 감쇠능에 미치는 Cu의 영향 (Effect of Cu on the mechanical Properties and damping capacity of austempered ductile cast iron)

  • This study was investigated to know the effect of Cu addition on austempered ductile cast iron at various temperatures and times. Test results showed that the volume fraction of retained austenite and the carbon contents of retained austenite showed the greatest value at $400^{\circ}C$. Also, in case of specimens having more Cu contents, the volume fraction of retained austenite and the carbon contents of retained austenite showed the lower value. After austempering treatment, tensile strength and Impact value increased, but elongation decreased. With increasing austempering treatment temperature, tensile strength, elongation, and impact value decreased. In case of specimen having more Cu contents, tensile strength showed the higher value, but elongation showed the lower value. Damping capacity was decreased by austempering treatment and was not affected on austempering temperature and time. In case of specimen having more Cu contents, damping capacity showed the higher value.

A New Required Reserve Capacity Determining Scheme with Regard to Real time Load Imbalance

  • Determination of the required reserve capacity has an important function in operation of power system and it is calculated based on the largest loss of supply. However, conventional method cannot be applied in future power system, because potential grid-connected distributed generator and abnormal temperature cause the large load imbalance. Therefore this paper address new framework for determining the optimal required reserve capacity taking into account the real time load imbalance. At first, we introduce the way of operating reserve resources which are the secondary, tertiary, Direct Load Control (DLC) and Load shedding reserves to make up the load imbalance. Then, the formulated problem can be solved by the Probabilistic Dynamic Programming (PDP) method. In case study, we divide two cases for comparing the cost function between the conventional method and the proposed method.
