Implementation of the Integrated E-Catalog System for the efficiency of the B2B e -business (B2B e-business를 위한 차세대 통합 전자 카탈로그 시스템 개발)

  • Product catalog information is the most important factor to make customers purchase the product for various B2B or B2C businesses provided on the Internet. As catalog information differs from company by company, it cannot provide common criteria standard to customers to make decisions. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a platform independent system, which integrates incompatible data from each company' catalogs and manages its database. This paper describes the integrated E-catalog system made up DB module, catalog management module, and interface module. This system allows customers to view standardized product catalog information from different companies with real -time updates, and also provides extensibility, flexibility, and interoperability for the effective E-Business management.

  • POSCO has been developed a general purpose dynamic simulator of the hot strip steel mill. The simulator is a tool for developing the process control system in an industrial system solution business, by making the most use of control and simulation techniques fostered in steelmaking business. This simulator has, not only a powerful numerical analysis function, but an easy-to-use graphic user interface which readily enables to simulate dynamic system. This paper presents the features of the simulator and steel rolling process simulator as its application.

  • The main goal of this study is to propose a model of simplicity and interactivity effect on usability in the blog services. As web-based applications become increasingly complicated, the need for simplicity in user interface design has grown for better usability. Also, interactivity has been known to influence on usability. Previous studies argued that usability is a key factor for system success. Usability is concerned with attributes of an application that makes it understandable, learnable, easy to use, and attractive. For the complicated technology, perceived control, related to direct manipulation of an object, is important. In this regard, we posit that simplicity, interactivity, and perceived control makes important antecedents to usability. Finally, we tested that the effect of usability on user s loyalty with the blog services along with trust and satisfaction. Future studies will empirically examine the proposed model, emphasizing the importance of simplicity and interactivity for the user interface design.

  • This study proposes a Web Decision Support System (DSS) as a new approach to resolving conflicts arising at the interface of production and marketing which have traditionally been in conflict with each other. Many researchers studied on the types and resolution mechanisms of conflicts among various organizations and organizational units. However, as global and distributed operations of firms based on the Internet become a commonplace business landscape, these conflict resolution mechanisms are found very difficult to be directly applied. From this perspective, the Web DSS proposed in this study can be claimed to be appropriate for the Internet-based distributed business operations. The current related literature on the production-marketing interface shows that the possible use of the Web DSS approaches has little been studied in spite of the decent amount of research conducted on the coordination of decision making between the two functions. This paper develops the architecture of the Web DSS and demonstrates its effectiveness based on the implementation results.

  • This study intends to develop a computer software for an efficient swineherd production and management. Current softwares are concerned on the sow management and ignore the actual farm environment. This study focuses on the farm environment in developing the software and covers the production management financial management, marketing management, and business planning for swineherd farm. The FSR(Farming Systems Research) analysis and interview survey aye applied to collect the data for the system planning, farmer's demand and analysis on the system, system design and program development. The systems are designed to meet the needs for the progressive swineherd farmers. Visual FoxPro 5.1 is used to develop the system. The developed system includes pig farm financial records keeping and management, pig farm production management program, pig farm marketing management program, and pig farm business diagnosis and planning program to meet the scope of the study. The weekly maintenance records and financial records are adopted for the input interface since most of farmers use their computer less than 5 hours a week. Pulldown Menu systems are adopted and designed for easy use by structuring to meet the pig farm and system demands. The manu system allocates the input-output screen based on the sectors, scopes, users, frequencies, importances, and the usages of the information. The GUI(Graphic User Interface) method is used to develop input-output screens for easy use. Backward Chaining mechanism fo the Expert System is used in the diagnosis of the pig farm management and the Systems Simulators Approach is used in the pig farm management planning.

  • The objective of this paper is to introduce to development of resource planning system of footwear manufacturing. The system development is to be done separately by module and each of which makes interface possible. And the final goal of the system development is to combine those modules to be ERP system covering all works from order to make, shipment, accounting. First, in this case study, introduce analysis of existing business flow and design of standard business process for development of systems. Second, describe in and out of the standard business process for shoes production and information management. Third, basic structure and design of the total system flow, configuration of completed 6 sub-systems of developing total 13 sub-system are presented. Fourth, function of software modules and principal algorithm and basic data structuring techniques o the 6 sub-systems are explained. Finally, hereafter implementation and development plans are presented.

  • With the development of computer technology, augmented reality (Augmented Reality, AR) technology in the future, one of the main directions of development of human interface technology is emerging. On augmented reality based on the design and implementation of a digital business card system. In this paper, a Smartphone is simply information through recognizable digital business card contains information about the system. Digital business card system is compared to the way existing hardware in a way visually-based high precision. In addition, registered as a 3D computer vision of augmented reality technology skills and real-world situations convergence technology for research. Future research, 3D electronic map for Smartphone apps as of the application user interface on the side for research is needed.

  • E-Biz. system must provide convenient and easy interface, efficient functions, and provides information and contents satisfying customers. To do this, many kinds of studies are being advanced actively about E-Biz. system using intelligent agent technology and efficient E-Biz. strategy. Also E-Biz. system score a lot of information and contents to get a efficient business activities and relationships between a company arid customers. To effectively adopt individual customer's preference and actively adapt change of business situation, we may consider individual user characteristics and emotion. This paper suggests E-Biz. system using intelligent agent technology based on user characteristics and emotion. This system can provide convenient user interface and improve customer royalty. In the results, it is found that proposed system is more efficient than existing systems about customer's preference.

  • Software design patterns are reusable solutions to recurring problems that occur during software development. As programmers gain experience, they recognize the similarity of new problems to problems they have solved before. With even more experience, they recognize that solutions for similar problems follow recurring patterns. In this paper, as one of these reusable design-patterns, the Intermediator pattern for the efficient communication between business component is designed and implemented. Existent business components were way that follow Facade pattern. But Facade pattern is almost like the existing Interface pattern in that the communication of all the object outside the set is done by only one representative object, and this causes the traffic system to be overloaded. Therefore, the Intermediator pattern supplements the traffic overloads by improving the inefficient system of business components' communication through multi-interface, and make all communication behavior between objects done by Intermediator object which controls all actual behavior by way of Intermediator method implementation. Consequently, the Intermediator pattern is designed and implemented in this paper can bring down the level of coupling and raise the cohesion among objects, and refer to many of other object flexibly through several interfaces.
