  • In this paper, we suggest the method for constructing parameterized human body model which has any required body sizes from 3D scan data. Because of well developed 3D scan technology, we can get more detailed human body model data which allow to generate precise human model. In this field, there are a lot of research is performed with 3D scan data. But previous researches have some limitations to make human body model. They need too much time to perform hole-filling process or calculate parameterization of model. Even more they missed out verification process. To solve these problems, we used several methods. We first choose proper 125 3D scan data from 5th Korean body size survey of Size Korea according to age, height and weight. We also did post process, feature point setting, RBF interpolation and align, to parameterize human model. Then principal component analysis is adapted to the result of post processed data to obtain dominant shape parameters. These steps allow to reduce process time without loss of accuracy. Finally, we compare these results and statistical data of Size Korea to verify our parameterized human model.

  • The synthesis and catalytic application of a new class of a new class of planar chiral ferrocenes, 1,2-ferrocenediylazaphosphinines (1 and 2) are described. They are powerful ligands for the copper(I)-catalyzed asymmetric cyclopropanation of a range of alkenes with diazo esters to exhibit an exceptionally high degree of diastereoselectivity(~100% de) in favor of trans isomers, regardless the structure of the olefins and the diazo compounds. Comparative studies between 1 and 2 reveal that the former works better in terms of diastereocontrol. In contrast, however, enantioselectivity is low with both 1 and 2 as a whole although, in certain cases with a proper combination of the olefin and the diazo ester, high optical yields (up to 100% ee) can be achieved. Other reaction parameters such as the reaction temperature and the structure of the ligand do exhibit some influence, although infinitestimal, on both chemical and optical yields.

  • A novel, simple and totally recyclable method has been developed for the synthesis of nontoxic, biocompatible and biodegradable bio-composite films from soy protein and silk protein. Bio films are defined as flexible films prepared from biological materials such as protein. These materials have potential application in medical and food as a packaging material. Their use depends on various parameters such as mechanical (strength and modulus), thermal, among others. In this study, prepare and characterization of bio films made from Soy Protein Isolate (SPI) (matrix) and Silk Fiber (SF) (reinforcement) through solution casting method by the addition of plasticizer and crosslinking agent. The obtained SPI and SPI/SF composites were subsequently subjected to evaluate their mechanical and thermal properties by using Universal Testing Machine and Thermal Gravimetric Analyzer respectively. The tensile testing showed significant improvements in strength with increasing amount of SF content and the % elongation at break of the composites of the SPI/SF was lower than that of the matrix. Though the interfacial bonding was moderate, the improvement in tensile strength and modulus was attributed to the higher tensile properties of the silk fiber.

  • In the present work, we report a novel microstructure of scalenohedral calcite synthesized without any additives by a simple and ecofriendly carbonation process carried out in a liquid-gas system as well as the effects of experimental conditions on the crystal growth of the scalenohedral calcite phase. Various process parameters, pH, temperature, $Ca(OH)_2$ concentration, $CO_2$ flow rates, and the total volume concentration, were investigated to enhance the sensitivity of the process. The highest average length of the scalenohedral calcite was obtained at pH 6.0, temperature of $45^{\circ}C$, $Ca(OH)_2$ concentration of 0.2M, $CO_2$ flow rate of 80mL/min, and total volume of 1L. The synthesized calcite was characterized by XRD, SEM, and FTIR to identify the phases and surface morphology.

  • Luenberger observer (LO)-based sensorless multi-loop control of a converter requires an iterative trial-and-error design process, considering that many parameters should be determined, and loop gains are indirectly related to the closed-loop characteristics. Robust H∞ control adopts a compact sensorless controller. The algebraic Riccati equation (ARE)-based and linear matrix inequality (LMI)-based H∞ approaches need an exhaustive procedure, particularly for a low-order controller. Therefore, in this study, a novel robust H∞ synthesis approach is proposed to design a low-order sensorless controller for boost converters, which need not solve any ARE or LMI, and to parameterize the controller by an adjustable parameter behaving like a "knob" on the closed-loop characteristics. Simulation results show the straightforward closed-loop characteristics evaluation and better dynamic performance by the proposed H∞ approach, compared with the LO-based sensorless multi-loop control. Practical experiments on a digital processor confirmed the simulation results.

  • A simple iterative design method is presented for the miniaturized dielectric filter with finite transimmission zeros. Circuit-network transformations are used to place transission zeros in the stop band. This method is simple and quick compared with conventional pole-synthesis methods. the design of the coupling EM patternof the filter needs the much computation time because its design is carried out through the field simulatior. In this paper, an efficient implementation technique of coupling circuit parameters is presented. This technique uses a linear mapping function between the circuit parameter domain and EM parameter domain to save the high computational time of EM simulator. A narrow band asymmetric filter with a transmission zero is designed and fiblicated through these technique in 1900 MHz band.

  • A new solid complexes of Ti(IV), Y(III) and Ce(IV) have been synthesized with ofloxacin. The formulae and structure of the complexes have been proposed in the light of analytical, spectral ($^1H$ NMR, IR and UV-Visible), magnetic, molar conductivities and thermal studies. The complexes are soluble in DMSO-$d_6$ and DMF. The measured molar conductance values indicate that, the three complexes are electrolyte in nature. The results support the formation of the complexes and indicated that ofloxacin reacts as a bidentate ligand chelate to the metal ion through the pyridone oxygen and one carboxylato oxygen. The kinetic parameters of thermogravimetric and its differential have been evaluated by using Coats Redfern (CR) and Horowitz-Metzeger (HM) methods. The thermodynamic data reflect the thermal stability for all complexes. The metal- ligand binding of the Ti(IV), Y(III) and Ce(IV) complexes is predicted using density funcational theory at the B3LYP-CEP-31G level of theory and total energy, dipole moment estimation of different Ti(IV), Y(III) and Ce(IV) ofloxacin structures. The biological activities of the ofloxacin, inorganic salts and their metal complexes were assayed against different bacterial species.

  • The synthesis is described of new pepsin substrates of benzyloxycarbonyl-glycyl-L-tyrosyl-L-phenylalanyl-glycine ethyl ester and benzyloxycarbonyl-glycyl-L-tyrosyl-L-phenylalanyl-glycine for studies on the specificity of pepsin, and thin layer chromatographic examination of the peptides prepared showed the new substrates are homogeneous and also, same examination of the incubation mixtures showed that two synthetic substrates are cleaved by pepsin at the L-tyrosyl-L-phenylalanyl bond and hydrolysis of these substrates by pepsin is achieved without transpeptidation. It is found that synthetic peptides are moderately soluble with the amount of the substrate up to a concentration of 0.7 mM in aqueous sodium citrate buffers (0.04 M) in the pH range 1.8-4.0, thus obviating the necessity for the adding of an organic solvent in the assay mixture. The kinetic parameters for synthetic substrates are tabulated in the following table. The data in the table indicate that the susceptibility of synthetic peptides to peptic hydrolysis are relatively large and the change of the carboxyl-terminal group of synthetic substrate from glycine ethyl ester to glycine causes a small decrease in the susceptibility of the L-tyrosyl-L-phenylalanyl bond.

  • A pH sensitive ternary copolymer gel was synthesized in the presence of ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) as a crosslinking agent through radical polymerization of vinyl acetate (VA), acrylic acid (AA) and methyl acrylate(MA) with a weight ratio of 1 : 1.3 : 1. A number of experiments were carried out to determine the swelling behavior of the gel under a variety of pH conditions of the swelling medium. As the pH of the swelling medium was changed from 1.0 to 8.0 at $37^{\circ}C$, the gel showed a shift in the pH-dependent swelling behavior from Fickian (n=0.3447) to non-Fickian (n=0.9125). The resulting swelling parameters were analyzed using graphical and statistical methods. The results showed that the swelling of the gel was controlled by the pH of the medium, i.e. $n=n_o{\exp}(S_{C}pH)$, where n is the diffusion exponent, $n_o(=28.9645{\times}10^{-2})$ is the pre-exponential factor and $S_C$(=0.1417) is pH sensitivity coefficient. The swelling behavior of the gel was also examined in aliphatic alcohols. The results showed that the rate of swelling increased with increasing number of carbon atoms in the alcoholic molecular chain.
