  • Recently, sensorless controls, which eliminate position and speed sensor in a permanent magnet synchronous motor drive, have been much studied. Most sensorless control algorithms are based on the back-EMF and speed estimations which are obtained from the voltage equations. Therefore, the sensorless control performance is largely affected by the parameter errors of a motor. This paper investigates a novel adaptive control with the parameter error compensation for the speed sensorless control of a permanent magnet synchronous motor. The proposed parameter estimation is obtained from the d-axis current error between the real and estimated currents. The proposed algorithm is verified through the simulation and experimentation.

  • PMSM(Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) has periodic torque ripple from the cogging torque and load conditions. This paper proposes the modified PID speed controller to reduce the speed ripple of the PMSM. The proposed modified PID controller uses a selective D(Differential) control term according to the speed error and the differential of the speed error. The proposed speed controller produces an additional torque reference such as torque compensator based on PI controller according to the speed error and the differential of the speed error, and it can reduce the vibration of the conventional D-control term with reduced speed ripple. Since the additional torque reference of the proposed speed controller is changed by the sign of the speed error and the differential of the speed error, a simple function to determine the sign of the error is used to produce the compensated torque. The proposed control scheme is verified by the computer simulation and the experiments.

채널에 강인한 화자 인식을 위한 채널 정규화 피치 동기 켑스트럼에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Channel Normalized Pitch Synchronous Cepstrum for Speaker Recognition)

  • 본 논문에서는 채널 환경에 강인한 화자 인식 시스템을 위하여 문맥과 화자에 종속적인 켑스트럼 추출 방법과 추출된 켑스트럼에서 화자 정보의 손실을 최소화하는 채널 정규화 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 추출 방법은 화자의 고유한 피치를 이용한 피치 동기 분석 방법에 기반을 두어 켑스트럼을 추출한다. 따라서 일명 피치 동기 켑스트럼 (PSC)은 유성음 구간에서 성도의 임펄스 응답을 보다 정확하게 표현할 수 있다. 또한 피치는 채널 환경에서 스펙트럼에 비해 강인하므로 피치 동기 켑스트럼은 채널에 의한 스펙트럼의 왜곡을 보상할 수 있다. 제안된 채널 정규화방법인 포먼트 평활화 피치 동기 켑스트랄 평균 차감법 (FBPSCMS)은 포먼트 평활화 켑스트랄 평균 차감법을 PSC에 적용하여 프레임 내 처리의 정확도를 개선시킨다. 제안된 방법들의 화자 인식 성능을 비교하기 위해 남자 112명과 여자 56명에 대해 WMIT과 전화선 환경의 NTIMIT을 이용한 화자 식별을 수행하였다. 실험 결과 피치 동기 LPCC는 기존 단구간 켑스트럼과 비교하여 에러 감소율을 최대 7.7%까지 향상시켰고, FBPSCMS는 극점 필터링 CMS에 비해 보다 안정되고 낮은 에러율을 나타내었다.

  • This paper proposes a new method to reduce the torque ripple in vector controlled inverter fed synchronous motor systems. In three phase voltage source inverter systems, all the three line currents are generally not measured and the currents of two lines are measured through two sensors and two A/D converters. The measured currents may contain some error due to the non-ideality of the current sensors and A/D converters, and the error coefficient of two line currents are not same. As a result, the developed torque contains the torque ripple. The proposed method can eliminate the torque ripple by setting the error coefficient to same value. To verify the proposed method, digital simulations are carried out.

불완전 전력 제어와 다중 경로 페이딩 채널에서 DS-CDMA 시스템을 위한 역방향링크 동기식 전송을 채용하는 병렬식 간섭 제거기의 성능 (Performance of Parallel Interference Cancellation with Reverse-Link Synchronous Transmission Technique for DS-CDMA System in Multipath Fading Channels with Imperfect Power Control)

  • 본 논문에서는 불완전 전력 제어 방식과 주파수 선택적 레일리 페이딩 채널에서 DS-CDMA 시스템을 위한 역방향링크 동기식 전송 방식(Reverse-Link Synchronous Transmission Technique: RLSTT)이 채용된 개선된 다단계 병렬식 간섭 제거기(Parallel Interference Cancellation: PIC)에 대한 성능을 분석한다. 로그 노말 분포의 랜덤 변수로 근사화되는 전력 제어 오차(Power Control Error: PCE)에 의한 성능 열화가 PCE의 표준 편차의 함수로 추정된다. 시스템 수용 용량을 추정하기 위하여 비부호화된 비트 오류 성능을 계산한다. 기존의 단일단계 간섭제거기 시스템과 비교하여 전력 제어 오차가 존재하는 경우에서도 RLSTT를 채용함으로 $60\%$ 정도의 이득을 얻을 수 있음을 보여준다. 즉 결론적으로 RLSTT는 수용용량을 더욱 개선해줄 수 있으며 PCE의 악영향을 감소시켜줄 수 있다.

Reduced-Order Unscented Kalman Filter for Sensorless Control of Permanent-Magnet Synchronous Motor

  • The unscented Kalman filter features a direct transforming process involving unscented transformation for removing the linearization process error that may occur in the extended Kalman filter. This paper proposes a reduced-order unscented Kalman filter for the sensorless control of a permanent magnet synchronous motor. The proposed method can reduce the computational load without degrading the accuracy compared to the conventional Kalman filters. Moreover, the proposed method can directly estimate the electrical rotor position and speed without a back-electromotive force. The proposed Kalman filter for the sensorless control of a permanent magnet synchronous motor is verified through the simulation and experimentation. The performance of the proposed method is evaluated over a wide range of operations, such as forward and reverse rotations in low and high speeds including the detuning parameters.

  • In this study, a novel rotor position sensorless estimation method of an interior permanent-magnet synchronous motor is proposed. A square-wave pulsating voltage signal is injected in the estimated synchronous reference frame. This signal is interpreted in the stationary reference frame regardless of the estimated rotor position. Thus, assuming that the position error is nearly zero is unnecessary because the variables in the estimated synchronous reference frame are not used. The rotor position can be exactly calculated from two voltage references and three sampled current feedbacks in the stationary reference frame. The proposed method is easy to implement and helps enhance the bandwidth of the current controller. The validity of the proposed method is verified by simulations and experiments.

  • A harmonic drive is compact torque transmission device with no backlash which is widely applied in industrial field to transmit torque precisely. However, one of the disadvantages of harmonic drives is the existence of mechanical flexibility caused by its structural properties, which imposes great limitation on designing precise controller This paper proposes a nonlinear controller for synchronous operation of DC servo-motors with harmonic drive, using Integrator Backstepping method. Furthermore, an alternative algorithm for serial type synchronous operation of multiple DC servo-motors is proposed. Simulation results by SIMULINK for proposed controller shows considerably small error and rapid approach to reference input, which can be adapted to industrial applications.

  • Speed and torque controls of permanent magnet synchronous motors are usually attained by the application of position and speed sensors. However, speed and position sensors require the additional mounting space, reduce the reliability in harsh environments and increase the cost of a motor. Therefore, many studies have been peformed for the elimination of speed and position sensors. This paper investigates a novel speed sensorless control of a permanent magnet synchronous motor. The proposed control strategy is based on the MRAS(Model Reference Adaptive System) using the state observer model with the current error feedback and the magnet flux model as two models for the back-emf estimation. The proposed algorithm is verified through the simulation and experiment.

  • Multi-axes driving system is more suitable for FMS(Flexible Manufacturing System) compared with a conventional single-azis driving system. It has some merits such as flexibility in operation, improvement of net working rate, maintenance free because of no gear train, etc. However, studies on position synchronous control for high precision in the multi-axes driving system are not enough. In this paper, a new method of position synchronous control is suggested in order to apply to the multi- axes driving system. The proposed method is structured very simply using speed and position controller based on PID control law. Especially, the position controller is designed to keep position error to minimize by controlling either speed of two motors. The effectiveness of the proposed method is successfully confirmed through several experiments.
