This paper reports about possibility of the elder abuse as a third vulnerable population among family violence in Korea. Although the study of against the elderly has not been reported in our society the need for information about the nature of elder abuse is clear with social change. There will be profound changes in our culture which in recent decades has been largerly dominated in our family. This paper will be explained some theoretical perspectives; Social learning theory Symbolic interaction theory, Exchange theory and factors related to the occurrence of elder abuse; 1) personal characteristics of the abuser and the abused 2)interpersonal characteristics of the relationship between the abuser and the elderly person 3) situational factors that increase the likelihood of abuse 4) socio-cultural factors that impinge on the use of violence. According to them the patterns and other predictions of elder abuse will be pointed.

The ecological theory of perception provides the human living, and meaning integrating norm to overcome the crisis caused by an eastern belief in human-centered wrong rationality formed at the past process of modernization. Prior to the overall consideration of ecological perception theory, looked into the concepts, contribution extent and its limitation of the existing perception theories for the environmental design. By experimentally applying inferred concepts of design to department bridge space and forming the space, certified the applicability of it to the green amenity space. The site Is located in Nowon- Gu Sangge- Dong. The design was processed on the basis of survey, plants growth environment and plants characters. It is expected that this design would serve the commercial space- consumer as a symbolic, environmentally friendly space design

The purpose of this study is to develop a theoretical model identifying how consumers accept a fashionable technology product. A systematic review of 39 influential TAM studies focusing on theory development in the context of information technology results in three tendencies, which become backbone of the model of fashionable technology acceptance. A subsequent review of the nature of fashion fleshes out the backbone with detailed propositions in the more specific context of fashionable technology. The model of fashionable technology acceptance includes key propositions of Theory of Reasoned Action, in which internal beliefs consist of functional, aesthetic and symbolic values, and other factors, such as technology features (i.e., hardware specification, software specification, brand, and price factors), environmental conditions (i.e., technical infrastructure and user occasion), individual differences (i.e., age, gender, experience, personality, aesthetic sense, fashion innovativeness, and income), and social influence (i.e., subjective norms, social reputation, and cultural difference). Implications, limitations, and suggestions for future research are also discussed.

본 연구는 수학교육의 국외연구에서 지난 삼십 년간 활발히 인용되고 있는 P. Cobb의 연구를 주목하여 살펴봄으로써 그가 이루어낸 연구의 성과와 영향을 알아보는 것이다. 특히, 본 논문에서는 이론과 실제의 간격을 줄이고자 시도되었던 그의 이론적 관점과 연구 방법을 심도 있게 고찰하였고, 그가 끼친 국내 수학교육연구의 영향을 자세히 살펴보았다. Cobb은 급진적 구성주의와 사회적 구성주의의 확장과 통합을 시도하였는데, 발현이론과 상징적 상호작용을 연구의 이론적 배경에 포함하였다. 또한 사회적 규범, 사회수학적 규범, 교실 수학적 실행의 해석적 틀을 바탕으로 개인과 사회적 관점에서의 수학교실을 분석하면서 학습 기회와 정체성을 언급하였다. Cobb은 설계실험을 활용하여 실용적인 이론 개발에 크게 기여하였으며, 그의 연구 방법을 기반으로 하여 설계실험의 정의와 특징, 원리, 과정, 실제를 제시하였다. 하지만 국내 수학교육연구에는 Cobb의 이론과 연구방법이 끼친 영향이 그리 크지 않음을 인지하면서 앞으로 현장에 실제와 이론이 잘 통합될 수 있는 방안으로 활발히 활용되길 기대한다.

이 연구는 애니메이션 Paprika에서 나타나는 'abjection'에 관한 해석을 시도하고 있다. Julia Kristeva의 'abjection'은 육체적이면서 상징적인 강력한 느낌으로 abject에 대한 주체의 반응이며 저항이다. 주체는 항상 분리를 갈망하면서도 분리되기 어려운 경계에서 갈등을 나타낸다. Julia Kristeva는 Freud와 Lacan의 정신분석학을 페미니즘으로 재해석하여 주체의 형성과정과 여기서 나타나는 정신분석학적 견해를 밝히고 있다. 이러한 견해는 프로이드와 라캉이 주장한 상징계로의 진입에 대한 견해를 부성중심에서 모성 중심으로 새로운 해석을 시도한 것이다. 이는 어머니의 몸은 상징계(the symbolic)에서 제외되어 전-오이디푸스적 영역에만 한정된 몸이 아니라, 상징계의 경계를 가로지르며 상징질서를 위협하는 힘으로서의 'abjection'이라는 것이다. 따라서 Julia Kristeva 이론에 근거한 'abjection'이 애니메이션을 통해 어떻게 나타나는지를 심층적으로 접근하고자 한다. 등장인물이 가지고 있는 욕망과 무의식의 세계에서 나타난 'abjection'은 등장인물들의 주체 형성과정에 어떤 영향을 미치고 있는 가를 파악하고 그 의미를 분석할 것이다.

This paper is to analysis covering and exposing elements through surface in the spirit of the time through the meaning of relationship between structure and symbol(ornament) in the theory of dressing of Gottfrid Semper. In other words, The purpose is to illuminate how complementary tectonic between structure and symbolic of an architecture surface is expressed in accordance with the biased required conditions relating with the paradigm of the era. The advancement of the new method of tectonic and the new aesthetic taste have a deep relation with the reconsidering the dichotomy classification discussing a dominant position between structure and symbol(ornament). Expression of surface representing the era comes across the combined interpretation of technology, structure, and the non-physical culture's art of the community and the era.

The present paper is concerned with vibrations of an elastic bridge loaded by a moving elastic beam of a finite length, which is an extension of the authors' previous study where the second beam was modeled as a semi-infinite beam. The second beam, which represents a train, moves with a constant speed along the bridge and is assumed to be connected to the bridge by the limiting case of a rigid interface such that the deflections of the bridge and the train are forced to be equal. The elastic stiffness and the mass of the train are taken into account. The differential equations are developed according to the Bernoulli-Euler theory and formulated in a non-dimensional form. A solution strategy is developed for the flexural vibrations, bending moments and shear forces in the bridge by means of symbolic computation. When the train travels across the bridge, concentrated forces and moments are found to take place at the front and back side of the train.

The concept of style including the external form and internal meaning provides a useful structure to clarify the historical phenomenon on dress. The purpose of this study was to explore surrealism related to the external form and internal meaning and the stylistic change of surrealism through 1930 and 1988 according the linked solution proposed by Brodsky. The results were as follows; 1. In terms of double roots including the external form and the internal meaning on the surrealism of dress, first, the external form was founded to be that each objects having symbolic meaning was dislocated from its original place to dress. Second, the aspects of internal meaning intended to represent not rational and external world but irrational as well as to reveal other nature of object or dress itself. 2. The change of surrealistic style on dress was characterised as "linked solution" change theory than cyclical change theory through the historical data from 1930 to 1988 of documentary sources.

This paper takes issue with the idea of language as a 'serial-time structure' as opposed to the 'real-time event' of speech, an idea entrenched in Chomskyan model of linguistic theory. The discussion centers around the leitmotif question: Is language constructed entirely from a finite set of apriori discrete symbol types, as the 'competence vs performance' dichotomy implies\ulcorner A set of linguistic patterns examined in this study, largely with regard to phonological considerations, points to the evidence to the contrary. That is, while the patterns may be said to be linguistically distinct, they are not discretely, different, i.e. not different enough to be reliably differentiated. It is demonstrated that much of current research in phonology, including the most recent Optimality Theory, is misdirected in that it falsely presupposes a discrete universal phonetic inventory. The main thrust of the present study is that there is no sharp boundary between 'competence' defined as the formal, symbolic, discrete time domain of language and human cognition on the one hand and 'performance' as the continuous, fuzzy, real-time domain of human physiology on the other.

As the discourse on Anthropocene grows, this exploratory research investigates the interrelationship and interconnectivity between humanity and technology by analyzing a sound art installation created by the author. Crying Sea is a sound installation that uses plastic wastes collected from the shore to create symbolic narratives and artistic experience connecting humans, objects, and nature through interactive digital technology. In this installation, the audiences are guided to walk over the wastes, and the sounds created by the footsteps are recorded in real-time, which then are distorted and amplified into disturbing sounds through speakers filling up the room. In analyzing this artwork, three theories from technological, philosophical, and ecological backgrounds were used; specifically, Bernard Stiegler's pharmakon theory, Dona Haraway's cyborg manifesto, and Timothy Morton's dark ecology theory. A common factor revealed from all three theories by analyzing the Crying Sea is that humans, technologies, and all other entities within nature are interconnected and resonated. The awareness of this recursive relationship allows us to consider sustainable balancing.
