  • In this paper, a single-phase inverter using a diode bridge-type resonant circuit to implement ZVT(Zero Voltage Transition) switching is presented. The current control algorithm is analyzed about how to design the circuit with auxiliary switch which can ZVT operation for the main power switch. The simulation and experimental results would be shown to verify the proposed current algorithm, because the main power switch is turn on with ZVT and the hi-directional inverter is operated.

  • In this paper, a discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) frequency control algorithm is proposed to reduce the input current ripple of a multi-phase interleaved boost converter. Unlike conventional variable duty and constant frequency control, the proposed algorithm controls the switching frequency to regulate the output voltage. By fixing the duty ratio at 1/N in the N-phase interleaved boost converter, the input current ripple can be minimized by ripple cancellation. Furthermore, the negative effects of the diode reverse recovery current are eliminated because of the DCM characteristic. A frequency controller is designed to employ the proposed algorithm considering the magnetic permeability change. The proposed algorithm is analyzed in the frequency domain and verified by a 600 W three-phase boost converter prototype that achieved 57% ripple current reduction.

  • This paper proposes a novel ECU (Electronic Control Units) update algorithm for AUTOSAR based automotive embedded system. The proposed algorithm provides fast and easy ECU update by extending AUTOSAR CAN Interface. The proposed system removes the update sequences from PDUR to RTE (ECU update program), and it stops other ISRs and operating system in order to reduce unnecessary context switching time. In experimental results, we can see that the proposed algorithm reduces update time.

  • In this paper. a noble dead time minimization algorithm is presented for reducing the switching losses. Firstly, the effects of the inverter dead time are examined, Secondly the principle of the proposed algorithm is explained with the commutation conditions. And the validity of the proposed algorithm is verified by simulation results. We can conclude from the results that the proposed algorithm have a virtue which is able to reducing the hamonics in the output voltages and which make the output voltage equal to the reference vlaue. Another merit is this method can reduce the number of inverter switchings.

  • In this paper, a new variable structure control algorithm is proposed to reduce the reaching time on a phase plane. In the new method, a term proportional to the magnitude of the switching variables is added to the Morgan and Ozguners algorithm. When this algorithm is applied to second order systems the simulation results show that the new approach of the control algorithm is more effective than morgan's algorithm.

  • In this paper, we propose the functional models of optical burst switching (OBS) routers to apply GMPLS (Generalized Multiprotocol Label Switching) to optical networks based on OBS. In addition, we introduce a connection admission control (CAC) algorithms which are operated in this models and can accommodate the required QoS. Firstly, the characteristics of current GMPLS and OBS for the optical Internet are basically considered. With this consideration, the models are proposed to accept OBS features which include the recognition of data boundary with control information and the statistical multiplexing in terms of bursts. Secondly, we use an offset time decision (OTD) algorithm on behalf of controlling the connection admission with taking QoS parameters such as burst loss rate(BLR) and service-differentiation ratio(SDR) into consideration. The proposed CAC algorithms use the offered load of LSP (Label Switched Path), wavelength information, and QoS parameters as inputs of OTD algorithm. A call setup request will be accepted when the offset time decided by OTD algorithm is reasonable for guaranteeing its requested QoS. Simulation is used for performance evaluation. Results show the proposed schemes can guarantee the required QoS and those are better than the previous one in terms of channel utilization.
