PD-슬라이딩 모드 제어의 절환을 통한 강인한 SPMSM 속도 제어기 설계 (Design of SPMSM Robust Speed Servo Controller Switching PD and Sliding Mode Control Strategies)

  • The paper proposes a new type of robust speed control strategy for permanent magnet synchronous motor by using PD-sliding mode hybrid control. The PD control has a good performance in the transient region while the sliding mode controller provides the robustness against system uncertainties. Taking advantages of the two control strategies, the proposed control method utilizes the PD control in the approaching region to the sliding surface and the sliding mode control near at the sliding surfaces. The chattering problem of the sliding mode controller is eliminated by applying the saturation function for the switching function of the sliding mode control. The stability of the sliding mode control is verified by using Lyapunov function with the proper selection of variable gains. It is shown that with this simple switching algorithm, stability of the overall hybrid control system is ensured. Through the simulations, the PD-sliding mode algorithm is shown to have a good performance in the transient response as well as being robust against disturbances. The robustness of the PD-sliding mode algorithm is further demonstrated against various external disturbances in the real experiments of SPMSM motor control.

  • Radio frequency (RF) microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) have been pursued for more than a decade as a solution of high-performance on-chip fixed, tunable and reconfigurable circuits. This paper reviews our research work on RF MEMS switches and switching circuits in the past five years. The research work first concentrates on the development of lateral DC-contact switches and capacitive shunt switches. Low insertion loss, high isolation and wide frequency band have been achieved for the two types of switches; then the switches have been integrated with transmission lines to achieve different switching circuits, such as single-pole-multi-throw (SPMT) switching circuits, tunable band-pass filter, tunable band-stop filter and reconfigurable filter circuits. Substrate transfer process and surface planarization process are used to fabricate the above mentioned devices and circuits. The advantages of these two fabrication processes provide great flexibility in developing different types of RF MEMS switches and circuits. The ultimate target is to produce more powerful and sophisticated wireless appliances operating in handsets, base stations, and satellites with low power consumption and cost.

저전압용 외전형 BLDC 전동기의 소비전류 최소화에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Current Minimization of a Outer-Rotor Type BLDC Motor for Low Voltage Application)

  • This paper presents a numerical optimization technique and switching phase control technique aiming at improvement of efficiency of the low voltage BLDC motor. The optimization technique is performed using the generalized sensitivity technique, response surface method(RSM) and sampling minimization technique. In order to minimize current consumption of the BLDC motor, the switching method of the driving device is optimized using RSM with finite element analysis. The ratings of BLDC motor are 50 W, 24 V, 1200 rpm. As optimizing results, the input current is reduced from 2.78 to 2.51 [A] when the switching phase is shifted by -2.65 [DEG_ELC] at the rated driving speed of 1200 [rpm]. It is confirmed that the proposed method reduces the consuming current of the low voltage BLDC motor through switching phase control method using the numerical optimization method.

표면광 마이크로레이저 및 능동형 광학 연산소자의 특성 (Characteristics of Top-Surface-Emitting Microlasers and Active Surface Emitting Laser Logic Devices)

  • Structures, fabrication, and characteristics of top-surface-emitting GaAs four quantum well microlaser are described. The microlasers have good room-temperautre CW characteristivs. The maximum CW laser output is >3mW from a 30 $\mu\textrm{m}$ diameter microlaser and the maximum differential quantum efficiency is >70% from a 10 $\mu\textrm{m}$ diameter microlaser. Active surface emitting laser logic devices are designed and fabricated as a discrete version of a top-surface-emitting laser and heterojunction phototransistor. The active surface emitting laser logic device have high optical gain (>20 overall, >200 differential) and very high on/off ratio. Two-dimensional arrays of top-surface-emitting microlasers and active surface emitting laser logic devices will be critical elements for optical computing, photonic switching and neural network applications.

스위칭 IC의 근접 자계 분포 예측 (Prediction of Near Magnetic Field Distribution of Switching ICs)

  • 본 논문은 회로 시뮬레이션과 전자기 시뮬레이션을 병행하여 디지털 스위칭 회로가 실장된 PCB 상의 근접 자계 분포를 예측하는 방법을 제시한다. 제안 방법은 스위칭 회로의 신호 및 전원 포트를 정현 전원으로 구동하여 규격화된 근접 자계 분포를 구하고, 이 결과를 실제 스위칭 회로에 의한 전류의 주파수 스펙트럼으로 가중하여 근접 자계를 예측한다. 예측 방법론을 검증하기 위해 링 발진기와 출력 버퍼로 구성된 스위칭 집적 회로를 제작하고, 칩-온-보드(Chip On Board, 칩-온-보드) 형태로 평가하였다. 자계 프로브를 이용하여 PCB상에서 표면 자계 분포를 측정하였으며, 시뮬레이션 결과와 비교하였다. 측정 결과와 시뮬레이션 계산 결과는 5차 하모닉 주파수까지 10 dB 이내로 일치함을 확인하였다.

  • 저항 변화 메모리 소자(RRAM)는 저항 변화 특성을 기반으로 빠른 동작 속도, 간단한 소자 구조 및 고집적 구조의 구현을 통해 많은 양의 데이터를 효율적으로 처리할 수 있는 차세대 메모리 소자로 주목받고 있다. RRAM의 작동원리 중 하나로 알려진 interface type의 저항 변화 특성은 forming process를 수반하지 않고 소자 크기를 조절하여 낮은 전류에서 구동이 가능하다는 장점을 갖는다. 그 중에서도 전이 금속 산화물 기반 RRAM 소자의 경우, 정확한 물질의 조성 조절 방법과 소자의 신뢰성 및 안정성과 같은 메모리 특성을 향상시키기 위해 다양한 연구가 진행 중에 있다. 본 논문에서는 이종 원소의 도핑, 다층 박막의 형성, 화학적 조성 조절 및 표면 처리 등의 방법을 이용하여 interface type 저항 변화 특성의 저하를 방지하고 소자 특성을 향상시키기 위한 다양한 방법을 소개하고자 한다. 이를 통해 향상된 저항 변화 특성을 기반으로 한 고효율 차세대 비휘발성 메모리 소자의 구현 가능성을 제시한다.

유연한 로봇 팔의 슬라이딩모드를 갖는 제어기 설계 (Design of the controller with sliding mode for flexible robot arm)

  • In this paper, robust vibration control of a one-link flexible robot arm based on variable structure system is discussed. We derive dynamic equations of it using a Lagrangian assumed modes method based on Bernoulli-Euler Beam theory. The optimal sliding surface is designed and the problem of chattering is also solved by the adoption of a continuous control law within a small neighborhood of the switching hyperplane.

  • In variable structure control algorithm, sliding mode makes the closed loop system insensitive to modelling uncertainties and external disturbances. However due to imperfections in switching, the system trajectory chatters, which is very undesirable. And the insensitivity property of a sliding mode controller is present only when the system is in the sliding mode. To overcome these shortcomings, in this paper, new sliding mode control algorithm using time-varying sliding surface and fuzzy PI structrue is proposed.

Electro-Optical Performances of In plane Switching (IPS) Cell on the Inorganic Thin Film by Ion Beam (IB) Method

  • We studied the nematic liquid crystal (NLC) alignment capability by the Ion beam (IB) alignment method on a NDLC (Nitrogen doped Diamond Like Carbon) as a C:H thin film, and investigated electro-optical (EO) performances of the IB aligned In plane switching (IPS) cell with NDLC surface. A good LC alignment by IB exposure on a NDLC surface was achieved. Monodomain alignment of the IB aligned IPS cell can be observed. The good electro-optical characteristics of the IB aligned IPS cell was observed with oblique IB exposure on the NDLC as a-C:H thin film for 1min.
