Shannon and Simpson indexes are used for species diversity analysis of ecosystem. In species diversity analysis of ecosystem, not only frequency of each species but also survey size have to be considered. In this study, total information composed with knowledge and ignorance was suggested as a species diversity analysis method for ecosystem survey. To apply developed method, flora in the Sangachun river valley was sampled with 19 sites and 198 species. In applying results, Shannon index shows more reasonable results than Simpson index by the variance of sample size but has difficulties of determining the relation of surveying species number and sample site number. Suggested total information can overcome this difficulty by the relation of knowledge and ignorance.

We study a statistical analysis about the fifth wave data of the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey based on linear regression models with measurement errors. The data is obtained from a national population-based complex survey. To demonstrate the availability of measurement error models, two results between the general linear regression model and measurement error model are compared based on the model selection criteria which are Akaike information criterion and Bayesian information criterion. For our study, we use the simulation extrapolation algorithm for measurement error model and the jackknife method for the estimation of standard errors.

인터넷사이트의 성공의 관건은 콘텐츠의 품질이다. 다른 사이트와 차별되는 양질의 콘텐츠를 제공할 때 사용자의 만족도를 높일 수 있고 이는 사용자의 충성도 향상과 직결되기 때문이다. 과학기술 분야는 정보의 특성이 타 분야와 상이하므로 품질 측정을 위한 지표도 과학기술분야에 적합한 항목을 사용하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 과학기술 분야에서 사용자가 만족하는 콘텐츠를 제공하기 위하여 사용자의 콘텐츠 만족도를 측정하는 설문 설계와 이의 해석을 통한 품질 향상 전략에 대해 설명한다.

The present study addresses the research frameworks and directions in the area of accounting information systems (AIS) by conducting a comprehensive survey of 76 A/S doctoral dissertations published between 1980 and 1990. The central research task is to identify the distinctive features of A/S that distinguish it from other disciplines. The procedure of the survey analysis is as follows. First, the A/S dissertations are categorized according to information systems (IS) and accounting. Then, some representative A/S research areas are documented, based on the IS/accounting domain combinations. The paper also attempts to discover the topical trends, supporting bases, and qualitative aspects of the A/S research. The survey reveals a : 1) the existence of economics as a supporting discipline, 2) the topical trend consistent with the evolution of IS, but restricted by the specific combinations of its parent domains, and 3) the need for intellectual rigor in the A/S research.

Korean government has been putting efforts to promote development of technologies by government sponsored labs and to transfer, diffuse, and commercialize these technologies in private sector since mid 1980s. In spite of these efforts, utilization of government-sponsored technology remains in the very low level. According to the survey conducted by Korea Intellectual and Patent Office (1999), the ratio of unused industrial property rights including patents was above 70% of total industrial property rights. Survey on the information and telecommunication industry done by the Institute of Information Technology Assessment (IITA) in 1999 shows that the utilization ratio of government-sponsored technologies is about 55.8%. This is especially true where government is not the primary or end-user of technologies. The purposes of this paper are to (1) identify a process model of technology commercialization, (2) develop the related variables of each step in the six-step continuous process model of government-sponsored technology commercialization, (3) empirically investigate the data gathered through questionnaire survey, and (4) suggest policy alternatives for promoting technology commercialization in Information and Telecommunication industries.

This study performs analyzing a status of labor cost policy of public construction project and labor management information system in Korea for improving of labor cost survey in the construction market. The outcome of this study will be helpful to build a labor cost information system included the information of man-hour, regular pay and benefit, total wage. And if these result is integrated with the information of worker's career, qualification, skill level, it is confidently expected that the survey of labor cost is reliable.

This paper presents the interactive method of showing geological hazard maps and other related information using the new GIS software developed at the Geological Survey of Japan. The main purpose of the software is to easily provide information about geological hazards to a wide range of users. The software incorporates spatial and a-spatial data to interactively present the time, locations and extent of occurrence of geological hazards and other related information. Queries for hazard information can be easily done. Simulations of the occurrence of a particular geological event like the spread of volcanic ash during major volcanic eruptions can also be easily shown.

The main purpose of this research is to find out whether curriculums of industrial engineering (IE) departments meet the demand of IE graduates working in various fields. The research was conducted as an online questionnaire survey selecting IE Graduates working in industries as practising engineers. 1,324 participants were validated among 1,477 participants. 13 fields were selected and used in the survey. Those were; 1) Mathematical statistics, 2) Computer, 3) Purchase, 4) Production system, 5) Logistics, 6) Marketing, 7) Monetary, 8) Experiment methods, 9) Operations Research (OR), 10) Human Factors, 11) Quality, 12) Engineering management, and 13) Information systems. Using the 5-scale Likert rating, each education subject was assessed both in terms of its usefulness in practices and the amount it being taught in school. As a result, courses such as motion/time study, linear programming that IE has traditionally focused showed less usefulness in practices while it is taught in relatively large amount in schools. However, courses such as 6 sigma, CRM which are closely related to industrial practices showed high usefulness in practices compared with low degree of teaching in school. This was the first ever large scalesurvey conducted for IE graduates in Korea. The result of survey displayed many helpful information on current status and future direction of IE education in Korea.

해양과학기술 R&D 결과정보의 데이터베이스 구축 연구를 위해 국내외 관련 연구를 조사하고 분석하였다. 연구대상은 해양 R&D 연구보고서에서 해양조사자료까지를 범위로 하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 연구성과정보의 효율적인 정보검색서비스를 제공하는데 있다. 본 논문에서는 연구보고서의 메타데이터 기술요소 분석, 분류체계, 정보서비스 등과 함께 해양조사자료의 정보시스템 설계 및 구현의 사례로써 시스템 구성, 웹정보서비스 프로세스, 자료 입출력 프로세스, 검색 가시화 프로세스 등의 연구를 수행하였다.

The purpose of this study is to survey various digital library models that form basic concept of the hybrid information services and to suggest the needs of hybrid information services in digital environments as previous stage towards a building of generic information model appropriate to hybrid information environments. This study deals with the change of information service environments and information services of traditional and digital environments, Also addressed are relationships between digital library and information services. Finally. this study suggest the needs of hybrid information services in digital environments and survey various digital library models that form basic concept of the digital library models.
