  • This paper discusses a searching method for special markers attached with persons in a surveillance video stream. The marker is a small plate with infrared LEDs, which is called a spatiotemporal marker because it shows a 2-D sequential pattern synchronized with video frames. The search is based on the motion vectors which is the same as one in video compression. The experiments using prototype markers show that the proposed method is practical. Though the method is applicable to a video stream independently, it can decrease total computation cost if motion vector analyses of a video compression and the proposed method is unified.

  • In this paper, we propose a new automatic surveillance tracking system that can extract the target from the complex background and foreground noises by using the image-based SAD algorithm and control the servo motor of cameras by using kanatani algorithm. From the experimental results the proposed stereo tracking system is found to track the target adaptively under the circumstance of complex and changing background noises and the possibility of real-time implementation of the proposed system by using the optical system is also suggested.

  • Recently, people fear is growing because of the various crimes that may occur when you go out. The growing is interest in security systems for the protection of an individual's property. In this paper, to establish a single central server based on the home network when intruders access to city, such as image processing values obtained through the IP camera and distance values disciplined use an ultrasonic sensor the user for an attacker city that will connect to the server the surveillance system provides the information that is received and implemented.

  • In this paper, motion analysis algorithm is presented for home surveillance of the aged who lives alone. For the first step, we acquire images from a camera. To enhance the image, we use median filtering and binarize it to reduce processing time. And then morphological operations are performed to remove small blobs and small holes. At the forth step, blobs are analysed to extracts tor foreground region. Then, motions are predicted from these images by using optical tlow technique, and the predicted motion data are refined by comparing our cardboard models so as to judge behavior pattern.

  • Surveillance systems play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and security of various environments, including public spaces, critical infrastructure, and private properties. However, detecting abnormal human behavior in lowlight conditions is a critical yet challenging task due to the inherent limitations of visual data acquisition in such scenarios. This paper introduces a spatiotemporal framework designed to address the unique challenges posed by low-light environments, enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of human abnormality detection in surveillance camera systems. We proposed the pre-processing using lightweight exposure correction, patched frames pose estimation, and optical flow to extract the human behavior flow through t-seconds of frames. After that, we train the estimated-action-flow into autoencoder for abnormal behavior classification to get normal loss as metrics decision for normal/abnormal behavior.

  • In this paper, we propose the geographic information systems that is able to build geographic information effectively by creating 3D topography after extraction surrounding terrain information through the video shooting in the CCTV camera. We also propose tracing method for object recognized through the video shooting of camera and recognition method which is whether or not the terrain change according to success or not of tracing the object. We apply this method in the industry field we can build a geographic information close to the actual terrain, but also can be used for security, surveillance and tracking system.

  • Assumed that an IPTV camera system is to be used as an ad-hoc sensor for the surveillance and diagnostics of safety-critical equipments installed in the in-containment building of the nuclear power plant, an major problem is the presence of high dose-rate gamma irradiation fields inside the one. In order to uses an IPTV camera in such intense gamma radiation environment of the in-containment building, the radiation-weakened devices including a CCD imaging sensor, FPGA, ASIC and microprocessors are to be properly shielded from high dose-rate gamma radiation using the high-density material, lead or tungsten. But the passive elements such as mirror, lens and window, which are placed in the optical path of the CCD imaging sensor, are exposed to a high dose-rate gamma ray source directly. So, the gamma-ray irradiation characteristics of the passive elements, is needed to test. A CCD camera lens, made of glass material, have been gamma irradiated at the dose rate of 4.2 kGy/h during an hour up to a total dose of 4 kGy. The radiation induced color-center in the glass lens is observed. The degradation performance of the gamma irradiated lens is explained using an color component analysis.

  • In surveillance, monitoring, and target tracking operations, high-resolution images should be obtained even if the target is in a far distance. Frequent movements of vehicles such as boats degrade the image quality of onboard camera systems. Therefore, stabilizer mechanisms are required to stabilize the line of sight of boatboard camera systems against boat movements. This paper addresses design and implementation of a strapdown boatboard camera stabilizer. A two degree of freedom(DOF)(pan/tilt) robot performs the stabilization task. The main problem is divided into two subproblems dealing with attitude estimation and attitude control. It is assumed that exact estimate of the boat movement is available from an attitude estimation system. Estimates obtained in this way are carefully transformed to robot coordinate frame to provide desired trajectories, which should be tracked by the robot to compensate for the boat movements. Such a practical robotic system includes actuators with fast dynamics(electrical dynamics) and has more degrees of freedom than control inputs. Backstepping method is employed to deal with this problem by extending the control effectiveness.

  • A system of infrared camera optics with wide field of view and anamorphic lenses is proposed, and its validity verified through manufacture. The infrared camera produced provides a wide field of view of over 100 degrees in the horizontal direction, and an even greater magnification in the vertical direction. As a result, the system can have a wider surveillance range and improved detection ability at the same time. In addition, a new optomechanical automatic athermalization mechanism is proposed and applied to the infrared camera. Its performance and utility is proved through testing.
