다양한 전류원에 대한 접지시스템의 위험전압 측정과 분석 (Measurement and Analysis of Risk Voltages by Various Current Sources in Grounding System)

  • Grounding systems set the reference voltage level of electric circuits and suppress the Ground Potential Rise (GPR) by flowing fault currents to the ground safely. There are several parameters which evaluate the performance of grounding systems as ground resistance, touch voltage and step voltage. The touch and step voltages, which is called "risk voltage", are especially important to ensure the safety of human body. This paper dealt with the influence of current sources with the different frequency components on the touch and the step voltages. Three types of current sources as commercial frequency, square wave, and surge with the fast risetime of $50\;ns{\sim}500\;ns$ were used to analyze the risk voltages in a grounding system. The risk voltages showed remarkable difference in the same current amplitude depending on the current sources, and increased linearly with the current amplitude in the same current source. From the experimental results, it was confirmed that the risk voltages can be evaluated by a small current application in large-scale grounding systems and the possible largest risk voltage can be calculated by a surge current with the risetime of 200 ns or a current source with the same frequency component as the surge current.

  • Water supply facilities are recently getting larger according as domestic waterworks become multi regional water supply system. Large water supply facilities generally consist of the intake pumping station, water treatment station and water supply & distribution facilities. Although pumping stations and pipeline systems are used to pump up water, it often happens pipeline damage and flooding accident by the water hammer. As a result of this study, a pumping station is guaranteed by the computer simulation and field test analysis. Therefore these are contributed safety operation in pumping station through adjustment of the pumping station safety plan, air valve and valve closing time.

  • PWM inverter-fed traction motor is able to occur problems by additive transient surge stress and harmonic loss in contrast with motor driven by 60Hz sine wave alternating source. Therefore in this paper, test method and standard of existed already were investigate, "thermal + electric" complex degradation test that considered additive degradation occurred by inverter drive carried out in order to obtain insulation reliability of traction motor driven by inverter. It seems that this test method confers large value of application at reliability estimation which the subject of complete motor not windings sample from now on.

  • Studies have been made to establish what coil design parameters have an important influence on the amplitude of interturn voltages developed in a machine winding subject to steep-fronted surges. The studies are based on a lattice-diagram model of multi conductor transmission line in a machine winding energised by a simple ramp function. Variations in interturn voltages produced by changes in insulation thickness, insulation permittivity, surge wave-front are examined and certain guidelines for avoiding high interturn voltages are evaluated.

  • The combined transmission lines with the underground power cables are continuously expanded in power systems. So the fault of combined transmission line is increased every year as the complication of underground transmission line. In this paper. traveling wave theory and DWT wavelet transform are used for fast and accurate detection of fault location at the combined transmission line. Traveling wave travels to each bus like surge and repeats reflection and transmission till transient signal is completely disappeared. When fault is occurred on overhead and underground tine, the fault location detecting algorithm was performed with using continuous peak value time-delay of traveling wave reflected from A bus.

종속 접속된 산화아연바리스터 기반의 서지방호장치의 협조 (Coordination of Cascaded Metal Oxide Varistor-Based Surge Protective Devices)

  • This paper describes the experimental results obtained from various installation conditions of cascaded metal oxide varistor(MOV)-based SPDs with the objectives to analyze the coordination of the cascaded surge protective devices(SPDs) and to propose the proper selection and installation methods of the cascaded SPDs. The residual voltage, discharge current and energy sharing between the upstream and downstream SPDs in the $10/350{\mu}s$ direct lightning current wave were measured and discussed. The coordination of cascaded MOV-based SPDs is closely related to the varistor voltage and installation methods of SPDs. In cascaded SPDs without dedicated decoupling elements, the natural impedance of leads connecting two SPDs can act as a decoupler for the coordination of MOV-based SPDs. Even if the varistor voltage of the upstream SPD is higher than that of the downstream SPD at long distances between two SPDs, the energy coordination of cascaded SPDs could effectively be fulfilled in the conditions of large surge currents and the optimum voltage protection level can be achieved. Consequently, if the distance between voltage limiting type SPDs is long, the coordination of the cascaded SPDs should be determined by taking into account the decoupling effects due to the intrinsic inductance of leads connecting the upstream and downstream SPDs.

다점 계류된 원유 저장선에 대한 저주파수 운동 해석 (Slow Drift Motion Analyses for a FPSO with Spread Mooring Systems)

  • 본 논문은 파랑중에 다전 계류된 원유저장선에 대한 저주파수 운동을 수치 모사하였다. 시간영역에서의 운동방정식은 충격응답함수를 포함하여 수평면상의 운동 즉 전후, 좌우 및 선수 운동을 고려하였다. 시간영역의 운동방정식에 나타난 부가질량, 파랑감쇠계수, 1차항 파랑 강제력 그리고 2차항 파랑 강제력을 주파수 영역의 특이점 분포법을 사용하여 계산하였고, 다점 계류된 계류삭은 체인이 해저면에 닿은 운동 효과를 포함하여 준 정적 현수선 이론으로 산정되었다. 계산 예로서 장파정 불규칙 파랑 중에 놓인 바아지식 원유저장선에 대한 시간 영역 해석을 수행하였다.

비디오 영상 자료를 이용한 연안 국지파랑 관측기술과 그 활용에 대한 고찰 (Review of Video Imaging Technology in Coastal Wave Observations and Suggestion for Its Applications)

  • The wave observation system in Korea has been established with an emphasis on pointmeasurement based on in situ instrumentations. However, the system cannot fully investigate the coastal wave-related problems that are significantly localized and intensified with three-dimensional regional geometries. Observation technique that can cover local processes with large time and spatial variation needs to be established. Video imaging techniques that can provide continuous monitoring of coastal waves and related phenomena with high spatial and temporal resolutions at minimum cost of instrumentation risks are reviewed together with present status of implementation in Korea. Practical applications of the video imaging techniques are suggested to tackle with various coastal issues of public concern in Korea including, real-time monitoring of wave runup and overtopping of swells on the east coast of Korea, longshore and rip currents, morphological and bathymetric changes, storm surge and tsunami inundation, and abnormal extreme waves in the west coast of Korea, etc.

  • 2003년 9월 12일 마산시 해안지역에 상륙한 태풍 '매미'는 지금까지 우리나라에서 발생한 가장 큰 연안재해를 기록하였다. 따라서 태풍해일에 대한 종합적인 방재시스템 구축과 해일피해를 대비한 세부구역별 대책수립이 시급한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 태풍 '매미' 당시 해일로 인해 가장 큰 피해를 입었던 마산만 지역을 중심으로 최고 극조위에 따른 최대 침수구역을 산정하고 실제 침수구역과 비교분석 하여 침수모형의 정확도를 분석하고 침수해일의 방어목적으로 제안한 방재언덕등에 대한 다차원 홍수피해 산정방법을 적용하여 경제성 분석을 실시함으로써 이에 대한 타당성 평가 및 방재사업에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 또한 향후 태풍해일 위험지역의 지형적 특성을 고려한 정확한 분석 데이터를 위하여 고해상도 위성 영상 및 LiDAR등의 데이터를 활용할 필요성이 있으며, 이를 이용하여 범람위험구역의 자료를 GIS Database화하여 보다 정확한 피해함수를 도출하여 피해를 최소화 할 수 있는 방안을 마련해야 할 것이다.

연안 지역의 복합 외력에 의한 침수 특성 분석 (Analysis on inundation characteristics by compound external forces in coastal areas)

  • 연안 지역은 강우, 조위, 월파 등 여러가지 외력에 의해 침수가 발생될 수 있다. 이에 이 연구에서는 연안 지역에서 발생될 수 있는 단일 및 복합 외력에 의한 지역별 침수 특성을 분석하였다. 연구에서 고려한 외력은 강우와 폭풍 해일에 의한 조위 및 월파이고, 분석 대상지역은 남해안 및 서해안의 4개 지역이다. 유역의 강우-유출 및 2차원 지표면 침수 분석에는 XP-SWMM이 사용되었고, 폭풍 해일에 의한 외력인 조위 및 월파량 산정에는 ADCSWAN (ADCIRC와 UnSWAN) 모형과 FLOW-3D 모형이 각각 활용되었다. 단일 외력을 이용한 분석 결과, 대부분의 연안 지역에서는 강우에 의한 침수 영향보다 폭풍 해일에 의한 침수 영향이 크게 나타났다. 복합 외력에 의한 침수 분석 결과는 대체로 단일 외력에 의한 침수 모의결과를 중첩시켜 나타낸 결과와 유사하였다. 다만, 특정 지역에서는 복합 외력을 고려함에 따라 단일 외력만을 고려한 침수모의에서 나타나지 않았던 새로운 침수 영역이 발생하기도 하였다. 이러한 지역의 침수 피해 저감을 위해서는 복합 외력을 고려한 분석이 요구되는 것으로 판단되었다.
