Al 판재의 Adhesion Bonding에 미치는 전처리 영향 (Effects of Pretreatment on the Adhesive Bonding of Aluminium Plate)

  • Transimission electron microscope(TEM)/ultramicrotomy were used to characterize the detailed surface morphology of 2024-T3 Al alloy surfaces prepared by various pretreatment process. It was found that, for good and superior initial adhesive strength and durability, chemically pretreated substrates appeared essential. The film morphology developed after CSA etching treatment, ass revealed by TEM, suggested the present of irregular cell pattern with finely separated whisker-like protrusion with was responsible for increase of bond strength.

  • Herein, we investigated surface morphological characteristics of anodic films on Al6061 alloy prepared by unipolar pulsed Micro-arc oxidation (MAO) in a mixed solution of $Na_2SiO_3$ + KOH. The number and size of pores as well as craters on anodic alumina surface were studied as a function of different voltages, duty cycles and applied anodic current densities. The morphological characteristics of all samples were investigated by scanning electron microscopy, conforming that the most uniform surface morphology of MAO films on Al1050 alloy was obtained at high applied current density with low duty cycle.

  • The importance of determining the radon exhalation rate from water surface is emphasized by the increased use of radon and its daughter products as tracers in large-scale circulation studies of the atmosphere. There were many methods to measure radon exhalation from water surface. With the development of radon exhalation rate measurement methods and instruments on the surface of the soil, the rock and building materials, so the radon exhalation rate from water surface can be more accurately measured by applying these improved methods and instruments. In this paper, a cuboid accumulation chamber surrounded by foam boards and a RAD7 were used to measure the radon exhalation rate on the water surface at three different positions by Yixin lake. Each measurement was performed 2 h. The radon exhalation rate from the water surface was about 6 × 10-3 Bq m-2s-1. The thoron exhalation rate from the water surface also can be estimated, it is about 0.16 Bq m-2s-1. These results hint that the radon transmission from the lake bottom soil to water and then into the atmosphere.

Washing Effects on Generation of Pretilt Angle in NLC, 5CB, on a Polyimide Surface with Trifluoromethyl Moieties

  • The washing effects on pretilt angle generation in a nematic liquid crystal (NLC), 4-n-pentyl-4'-cyanobiphenyl (5CB) on a rubbed polyimide (PI) surface with trifluoromethyl moiety have been successfully studied. The pretilt angle of 5CB is increased by the washing process on the rubbed PI surface. The surface tension on the rubbed PI surface increases with the rubbing strength RS and then saturated above RS: 150 mm. The pretilt angle of 5CB for all washing processes on the rubbed PI surface decreases with the surface tension. We have found that the pretilt angle of 5CB on the rubbed PI surface may be attributed van der walls (VDW) dispersion interaction between the LC molecules and the polymer surfaces having trifluoromethyl moieties.

열처리 조건에 따른 Al-Si-Mg계 합금의 표면 젖음성 영향 (Effect of Heat Treatment on Surface Wettability of Al-Si-Mg Alloy)

  • The present study investigated the effect of heat treatment process on the surface wettability of an Al-Si-Mg alloy. After solution-treated at $525^{\circ}C$ and aged at $160^{\circ}C$, the alloy showed high hardness due to the formation of precipitates. In addition, surface wettability was improved in such a way that the contact angle of distilled water droplet on the flat surface decreased to $37.6{\sim}42.1^{\circ}$ after the heat treatment. The surface energy predicted by Owens-Wendt equation also confirmed the increase of surface energy after the heat-treatment. However, when the surface roughness increased, the positive effect of the heat treatment on wettability diminished due to the geometrical factors of the rough surface.

전기화학적 에칭을 이용한 스테인리스 스틸의 표면 개질 (Surface Modification Method of Stainless Steel using Electrochemical Etching)

  • This paper reports a simple, yet effective 1-step surface modification method for stainless steel. Electrochemical etching in dilute Aqua Regia forms hierarchical micro and nanoscale structure on the surface. The surface becomes highly hydrophobic (${\sim}150^{\circ}$) as a result of the etching in terms of static contact angle (CA). However the liquid drops easily pinned on the surface because of high contact angle hysteresis (CAH), which is called a "petal effect": The petal effect occur because of gap between surface microstructures, despite of intrinsic hydrophobicity of the base material. The pore size and period of surface structure can be controlled by applied voltage during the etching. This method can be applied to wide variety of industrial demand for surface modification, while maintaining the advantageous anti-corrosion property of stainless steel.

A Design of New Surface Gradient Coil and Its Application to MR Computerized Tomography

  • A new three-channel surface gradient coil obtained by using numerical optimization and its application to MR computerized nomography are presented. The new surface gradient coil pro aided linear field gradient region more than twice wider compared with the t'irst surface gradi encl coil, removed torque and field offset, and reduced coupling between the surface gradient coil and combined surface rf coil. We realized the new surface gradient coil set with $30{\times}60{cm^2}$2 size, which generated more tharl 4G/cm with 100 amperes over a $4{\times}4{\times}4{cm^3}$ region with good linearity. The optimal geometries of the three-channel surface gradient coil and volun teer's high-resolution in wiuo spinal cord Images obtained by using the optimized surface gradi ent coil set are presented.
