  • The breathable film refers to a high-functional film that allows gas and water vapor to pass through very fine and sophisticated pores but not liquid. In this research, the breathable film was prepared based on linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) and CaCO3 particles by extrude method. The LLDPE composite film containing CaCO3 particles had excellent mechanical properties and functionalties. The drawing is a technologically simple and excellent method for improving the mechanical properties of composite films. In this work, the effects of draw ratio on morphology, crystallinity, pore size distribution, mechanical properties, and water vapor permeability of the films were examined. The results revealed that both surface morphology and breathability were affected by the influence of chain orientation and crystal growth with increasing the draw ratio. The mechanical properties were improved with increasing the draw ratio.

  • This study aimed to propose effective ways to integrate CLO into educational settings by conducting a comparative analysis of pattern functions in YUKA and CLO, specifically focusing on skirt prototypes and variations. CLO, being a 3D virtual sample CAD tool, is mainly used in education to facilitate the creation of 3D virtual clothing. In order to explore the applicability of CLO's pattern functions in pattern education, CAD education experts were asked to produce two types of skirt prototypes and two skirt variations. Subsequently, in-depth interviews were conducted. In addition, the skirt pattern creation process was recorded on video and used for comparative analysis of YUKA and CLO pattern functions. The comparison revealed that CLO provides the pattern tools necessary for drafting skirt prototypes. The learning curve for acquiring the skills necessary for drafting and transforming skirt prototypes was found to be relatively shorter for CLO compared to YUKA. In addition, due to CLO's surface-based pattern drawing method, it is difficult to move or copy only specific parts of the outline, and there are some limitations in drawing right angle lines. In the pattern transformation process, CLO's preview function proved to be advantageous, and it was highly rated on user convenience due to the intuitive UI. Thus, CLO shows promise for pattern drafting education and is deemed to have high scalability as it is directly linked to 3D virtual clothing.

  • Alumina fibre has been synthesized successfully by sol-gel technique. Boehmite sol was prepared by hydrolyzing aluminium iso-propoxide and peptizing it with nitric acid. The stable sol thus obtained was used for fibre drawing when their viscosity reached the required value as a result of progress of the hydrolyzation and polycondensation reaction. The fibres dried at 11$0^{\circ}C$ for 12 hours were sintered at 1$600^{\circ}C$ for 5 hours. A reasonable sintered density with better microstructure and strength have been attained using 2 wt% of urea, magnesia and silica as sinter additives. Thermal analysis with sintering additives of 2 wt% and phase determination of the heat treated fibres using XRD and FT IR spectra confirms the phase transitions. The observation of surface and cross-section of the fibres were made using SEM. Fibres of uniform circular cross-section is obtained by fixing the shape in a setting solution.

  • Sensors of Landsat detect different objects with different waves, so the range of water quality conditions can be accurately checked, and their images can be displayed in colors. The present study was conducted to measure the degree of clearness and depth and to detect elements from the surface water of Hwajinpo Lake. Based on these results, water quality of the lake was analyzed, and the range of water quality was drawn graphically. According to comparison outcomes, the new technique of detecting water elements from DN of Landsat TM images and drawing the range of water quality produced a far more accurate pattern for a wide area than the direct measurement. To display the pattern more clearly, the stretching technique in particular was very effective in the pattern analysis.

  • A sectional analysis of sheet metal forming process with an arbitrary tool shape is proposed in the present work. To improve the numerical convergence in the conventional membrane sectional analysis, the Bending Energy Augmented Membrane (BEAM) elements had been developed. The BEAM elements particularly improve the stability and convergence of the finite element method for the case of deep drawing. In this work, the FERGUBON spline (C$^2$-continuous) was used to fit the deformed mesh to smooth the given curves and calculate the local curvature of the deformed sheet. The fittings of the deformed sheet and tool surface profile ensure the stability and the convergence of the finite element analysis of highly nonlinear stamping processes. A center floor section and front fender section are analyzed to show the accuracy and robustness of the approach. The results obtained by the proposed approach are compared with the available experimental data.

  • Contemporary organizations strive for customer agility through the deployment of digital technologies on customer-focused operations to build enduring customer relationships, with mobile apps being one of its prominent examples. Drawing on prior agility and ECT literature, this study proposes a model to examine customers' view of a firm's customer agility. Our empirical test of conceptual model from data collected in a field study from 128 customers demonstrated that the conceptual model offers good explanation for customers' view of a firm's customer agility through relationships among customer expectations-customer perceived firm's responsiveness-satisfaction. Data were analyzed using PLS, polynomial modeling, and response surface methodology to examine the relationships between customers' digital interactions with the firm, influence of digitized interactions on customer expectations, customers' evaluation of firm's responsiveness, and subsequent customer satisfaction.

  • One of the most important processes is the face milling in processing task. It makes the smooth surface of processed goods. In processing stage, the formation of burr is inevitable. The formed burr decreases a detailed drawing and effects the safety of workers. So, it causes a deburring process for removing and a bottle-neck condition. Therefore, the study which can minimize the generation of burr is needed. In this paper, complex feature, such as line, arc, circle, spline is studied more reality than any other papers. And also, the algorithm which can predict the path of generated burr is established. Moreover, the finality goal is that the system which can produce tool-path minimized has to be developed.

  • Anisotropy is closely related to the formability of sheet metal and should be considered carefully for more realistic analysis of actual sheet metal forming operations. In order to better describe anisotropic plastic properties of aluminum alloy sheets, a planar anisotropic yield function which accounts for the anisotropy of uniaxial yield stresses and strain rate ratios simultaneously was proposed recently[1]. This yield function was used in the finite element simulations of cup drawing tests for an aluminum alloy 2008-T4. Isotropic hardening with a fixed initial back stress based on experimental tensile and compressive test results was assumed in the simulation. The computation results were in very good agreement with the experimental results. It was shown that the initial back stress as well as the yield surface shape have a large influence on the prediction of the cup height profile.
