전자비임용접한 $175Kg/mm^2$급 박판 Maraging강의 이음강도에 미치는 용접입열 및 열처리의 영향 (The effect of welding heat input and heat-treatment on the strength of the electron beam welded $175Kg/mm^2$ maraging steel sheet)

  • The influence of welding heat input variation(600-900J/cm) and heat-treatment condition after welding on tensile strength of butt welded joint in $175Kg/mm^2$ strength level Maraging steel(Co-free and Co-containing) sheets was investigated on the basis of hardness distribution, microstructure of weld metal and fracture surface. The obtained main results are as follows; 1. The strength of weldment (UTS, NTS), joint efficiency showed a little decreasing tendency with the increase in welding heat input, and the elongation showed a little increasing tendency with the increase in the width of weld metal. It was considered because of the plastic constraint of the high strength base metal. 2. The strength of weldment was better in the solution treatment and aging than the aging only after welding due to the disappearance of almost denverite in weld metal. 3. The hardness distribution in weldment after welding and heat-treatment was almost similar to both Co containing and Co free Maraging steel with change in welding heat input. 4. The fracture was occurred at weld metal, and the fracture surface showed a relatively shallow dimples in both Co containing and Co free Maraging steel.

아연 코팅과 열처리에 따른 알루미늄 열교환기 소재의 부식 (Effects of Zn Coating and Heat Treatment on the Corrosion of Aluminum Heat Exchanger Tubes)

  • The effects of zinc coating and heat treatment on the corrosion resistance of aluminum alloys including A1100 and the modified A3003, used as heat exchanger tube were investigated in this study. The grain size of the heat-treated specimen is larger than that of the specimen without heat treatment, but the grain size did not significantly affect the corrosion behavior. The concentration of zinc was noted at 11.3 ~ 31.4 at.% for the as-received Zn-coated samples and reduced to 1.2 ~ 2.4 at.% after the heat treatment, as measured by the scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with an energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS) on the surface. The concentration of oxygen is 22 ~ 46 at.% for the zinc coated specimens while noted at 7.4 ~ 12.8 at.% for the specimens after the removal of the coating. The corrosion behavior depended largely on the concentrations of zinc, aluminum, and oxygen on the specimen surface, but not on the Mo content. The corrosion potential was high and the corrosion rate was low for a specimen with a low zinc content, a high aluminum content, and a high oxygen content.

  • In this study, the carburizing heat treatment process used in aircraft gear manufacturing was compared with the general carburizing heat treatment process using AISI 9310 steel. The process of carburizing followed by slow cooling, and then quenching after austenitizing(Process A) showed less compressive residual stress and less retained austenite in the surface layer compared to the process of quenching directly after carburizing(Process B). In prpcess B, there was a large amount of retained austenite when quenched immediately after carburization, and when treated with subzero, martensite rapidly increased and the compressive residual stress increased significantly, but at the same time, there is a risk of cracking due to severe expansion in volume. Therefore, in the case of aviation parts, it is believed that a step-by-step heat treatment cycle was adopted to ensure stability against heat treatment cracks. As a result of the final tempering after sub-zero treatment, the A process specimen showed a deeper effective case depth and HV700 depth and a higher hardness value above HV700 than the B process specimen.

  • Recently, an energy-saving due to the energy utilisation efficiency enhancement is important. In order to improve the heat efficiency of the general residential boiler, We performed an experiment of condensation heat transfer to air pre-heat exchanger adhered to the condensing boiler. In this research, We analyze the heat transfer performance through the hydrophilic surface treatment(plasma, etching). The results of the research, On plasma and etching treated surface, Overall heat transfer coefficient is displayed the tendency to increase.
